I'm not really a baseball fan, don't remember the last time I watched even an inning on TV muchless been to a game. Your videos popped up on my feed and you seem like a cool dude and I have enjoyed a handful of your videos. Great content and you're very well spoekn.
Dodger stadium had the same clubhouse for both teams since it opened all the way until 2013. Before then teams shared weight rooms. Eating areas and cages.
8:16 GREAT click at the camera. Be proud of that home run. Aside from anything else, that's one more HR than I hit in my whole life (I played baseball in the UK for 21 years - warning track power!)
Also, do you still play like in the MSBL or some league? I have played in the MSBL world series in Arizona in November against a few ex-pro's will you ever play organized ball again?
These videos are really fascinating man. As huge baseball fan I really love having a behind-the-scenes look at The Show. Also your hats are so sick!!! Keep it up man! Sweet videos.
I am going to make you for my MLB17 the show what was your favorite team to play for? But my real question to you is this. How did you get in your zone with all the pressure to perform swirling around you? I never played pro ball because my head wasn't in the right place when I was 16-19 years old then by the time your 20-22 you're an old man if you haven't gone anywhere but I did enjoy some great seasons. Now as an older player I find that coaches in my league have this expectation that I should dominate like I did as a younger player and I fail now more often than not to the point that I now am wondering why I want to even deal with it anymore. Perhaps you can help me with the mental aspect of the game how did you deal with adversity? Other than retire which I play in my own age bracket 55+ what advice would you give to a player like me to get some of the old magic back?
Hey, did you get a change to play at Wrigley's field. Would think it would be more similar to Boston because of its age. Love as a fan, Dodger stadium too & their hotdogs & food, great as well.
What happens after an ejection from a game at a higher level? I know some guys go and finish their workout since they didn't play a full game, just didn't know if players leave after an ejection, stick around for the locker room talk after a game or finish a work out.
This summer I am doing a tour of all the Florida State League Stadiums and documenting my entire experience. did you ever play in the FSL? What advice do you have?
I think I was the one that asked about stadiums so thanks !!! Very interesting.... I saw in your other video about minor leagues that you were once in triple A for the Yankees , which ment you played in my home area ...Scranton Wilkes barre in pa .... you ever hit one over the right field fence that hit the mall up on top of the mountain ??? Lol. Anyway thanks for the interesting video .
My favorite from a fan experience is Coors Field, Colorado. Food is good, favorites are the Burrito Bowl and the chocolate covered bacon. Since I'm a senior, I can gain admission for a $1. Since I'm a Dodgers fan, I can see the Dodgers there multiple times. Great stadium to walk around even if you don't wish to sit anywhere. You can see the bullpen from the top. Thanks for the perspectives!
Interesting videos, I enjoy watching them. During your time in pro ball did you ever get star struck by a player you played against or with. Any interactions with them and how were they nice or cocky?
You have an awesome channel, Matt; keep up the great work! It’s every little boy’s dream to play in ‘The Big Show,’ but since most never will, your insights allows us to live vicariously through you. Your videos are fascinating to no end. To keep myself in the game I loved as a kid, I umpire high school & college ball and love it. Best seat in the house but you have to stand. Speaking of ballparks, what is your thoughts regarding Safeco Field? I’m sure you played there many times working for San Diego. My son & I try to get up there 3 or 4 times a year. I live in Salem, Oregon, home of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, and rivals to the Eugene Emeralds. Small world.
I love your honesty in these videos. I have always been curious as to wether you break in a new glove every season or do you have a favorite one that you use for years.
Did you ever play at Chase field? I had just been through the dugouts recently and was extremely under impressed, the Dbacks keep complaining about it needing to be updated im wondering if the clubhouses were also starting to get up there.
Did you ever play the Harrisburg senators I think they are a AA team that is a farm team for the nationals. It’s kind of a neat minor league stadium it’s on a island in the middle of a river. Cutter Dykstra was a fan favorite for a while.
I'm glad to know your favorite park is my home park. I've never watched a game anywhere else and the only other park I have been to is Wrigley Field. Dodger Stadium is truly one of the greatest ballparks anywhere. The symmetry here is beautiful. I'm glad to know, also, that it feels like a football game. We haven't had a football team for a long time so we had to make do I guess. We do have the largest capacity in the majors and it shows.
Iive in Orange County right next to Angels Stadium but i travel up the 5 to watch the Dodgers because its so much more intense. I remember MannyWood it was the most amazing experience when i felt the ground actually moving. I can't imagine would it would be like on the field
I watched some of your videos, and loved them so far. I am a baseball (Pittsburgh Pirates) fan almost from birth. There is a black and white photo of me sitting on my mom's lap, with a radio beside her, and yes the Pirates game was playing. Did you ever play in PNC Park? As a fan I get back there every year for a few games and love it. Would be great to hear your thoughts as a player if you played there. Will close with the best saying about baseball, Mr Banks, "Lets play two."
Ive never really thought dodger stadium would be that impressive. But now I may want to go visit. I'm a White Sox fan and I've never been to a game with much intensity...I did almost purchase tickets to game 2 of the 05 World Series, I had enough to cover the tickets, but after fees and tax and all that I couldn't do it. So sad cause that was just an absolutely amazing game.
Wonder if that Manny Ramirez grand slam was his pinch-hit grand slam on his bobble head night. That was so insane. Grand slam was also hit into his Mannywood section.
Pretty recently I heard the clubhouses at Dodger Stadium have been renovated and modernized. The home clubhouse anyway. I've heard the visitor clubhouse is the only room there that is the exact way it was built day one
What do players say to the umpire when they're walking away after a strikeout? Just wondering because most of the time it does not look like an argument, more like a question and a nod. Thanks love the videos!
I recall one of the National's announcers saying that the players are trying to get a feel for the strike zone since there is some variation with different umpires.
I've never been in a major league dressing room but I've heard there is a huge difference between home and away. Of course the Home dressing rooms are top notch. I've heard the visitor rooms are anything from spartan to less than desirable. Gamesmanship!
What's it like for a player to get DFA'd or released? Do they immediately go home when they get the notice, do they decide if baseball is their future after they got DFA'd? Thanks so much!
Life long Chicagoan, Wrigley is a beautiful field. I played college baseball, but never played at Wrigley or any Major League field. I was used to sand, gravel, uneven surfaces, etc. It didn't matter, I loved and still love the game.
Wasn't impressed by Wrigley. I really enjoy Fenway a lot except if you get one of their bad seats and you can't see home plate. But the atmosphere is all baseball.
Did you ever get to play North of the border? What are your thoughts on the Sky Dome? (I will always call it Sky Dome!) Again, thanks for the awesome videos. 🍻

You need more light. Natural light is best if possible
Love the vids :)
Thanks! This video something happened with my camera. Not sure what happened but I fixed it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The shadows from the hat make it even worse.
C.mon, fellas: It's the message, the vibes, the camraderie here. I don't click on here for a Speilberg extravaganza, and neither do you. = )
Did you have any weird fan experiences and if you did what happened?
Let me think about it! I can't think of any of the top of my head. Thanks for watching and for commenting!
@@AntonelliBaseball still waiting its been 2 years
Dodger stadium had the same clubhouse for both teams since it opened all the way until 2013. Before then teams shared weight rooms. Eating areas and cages.

Thanks so much! Thanks for watching and commenting!
North of Boston, that's what's up I am just south of Boston New Bedford,MA., Congrats on your life after Baseball!!!
8:16 GREAT click at the camera. Be proud of that home run. Aside from anything else, that's one more HR than I hit in my whole life (I played baseball in the UK for 21 years - warning track power!)
We're there any triple A, double A or spring training facilities that were nicer than major league parks?
Can you do a video on what its like to play in a stadium that is sold out vs. one that seems empty?
Yeah sure thing! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Good question! I've wondered the same thing too.
Do you still have that first home run ball? It should be on the shelf behind you!
random ryno no, the Padres lost it
I just found your channel and I love it! It shows your respect for the game itself and for baseball fans everywhere!
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate you watching!

Really cool that you got to play against your all time favorite player! Dream come true for sure lol
Absolutely!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Did you ever get to play at Shea Stadium or Citi Field?
Are you in any MLB video games?

Great video. Did anyone ever hit you with a pitch that you felt like might've been on purpose?
Honestly no I don’t think so! Thanks for watching and commenting!
You should talk about all the All-Stars you played with in the Minors or Majors. Along with describing their personal side.
Comiskey (Guaranteed Rate Field)?
Did you ever play at Chase field? I had just been through the dugouts recently and was extremely under impressed, the Dbacks keep complaining about it needing to be updated im wondering if the clubhouses were also starting to get up there.

As a lifelong Giants fan, I remember Candlestick well. AT&T Park or whatever it's called now is amazing.
Candlestick was a strange park, but I saw a game there and the atmosphere was really good. Haven't see Oracle yet.
