USA Airforce General for me every time! I used to load up a combat chinook with 2 humvees (each with with 5 x rocket soldiers inside) plus 2 x snipers in the spare seats. This made an incredibly fast moving and heavy-hitting airborne platform. Perfect for hit and run tactics or sneaking into an enemy base to cause some carnage.

I love you for the fix. When EA made the origin app obsolete and forced me to download the EA app all of my CnC games stopped working. Spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it over the course of almost a year
My Generals - Zero Hour ever time I run it ask me to give permission before it runs, I asked EA about this and got no reply so no more buying from EA, not that they have anything good, only the C&C games which they monopolise, and they keep sending emails telling me my EA play and I need to renew my monthly payment I never have signed up for this regular payment nonsense , this smells of a scamming out fit, avoid is my advice.
I haven't played in decades my friend, I got to say very good tutorials to help keep the game alive. thank you very much

One other issue I had that couldn't be fixed using GenPatcher & GenTool:
Whenever I play large games (1 vs 7) with many units (like missile defenders), some of these units get stuck and won't move or attack anymore. It seems like they have trouble making their way through my patriot defense lines. After a while the game then crashes ("serious error"). The only solution I found was to not build any infantry units but only helicopters and aircraft, but this makes the game less fun.
Do you have any other tips on how to prevent this bug...?
when i click fix in the dekstop appears 2 different command and conquer and both have bug when i click the units to move they stay there and they dont move how to fix it?...And when i open it from EA the game doing missmatch. HELP

Hey! First of all, thank you very much, what you're doing for this game and its community is incredible.
Just one question/issue I've had:
I can't move the camera by moving the cursor to the edges on the screen when executing the game in Windowed mode.
- I tried enabling/disabling borderless mode via GenPatcher but the problem persists.
- This doesn't happen when launching from the 'normal' full-screen shortcut, but then the game tends to crash when Alt + Tabbing, so I'd rather fix the Windowed issue.
Any ideas as to what could be happening there?

HELP! Where can I download C&C Generals and Generals:Zero Hour? I go to the Origin website, click on Generals, it takes me to the "Remastered Collection", and I bought it and installed it, but Generals and Zero Hour are not there. ANy ideas? Thanks. Ken L

Edit: Also had the chance to buy the Ultimate Collection for like 4-5 US dollars equivalent but that was like a year ago. Origin do have deals but very rare.
Has anyone tried to install the game from the original CD's and gotten stuck on "Removing Applications"? I've been sitting there for 20 mins with the HD light going full like it's doing something, but it's really not. And what applications is the install program trying to remove? Seems odd.

hey looking for some help im trying to to get the game to work only laptop and after all the fixes i try to run the game and it only displays on the right side and only shows like 2/3 the screen is there a fix
So i reinstalled zero hour after a long time being forgotten and had a question, im sure i remember that back in the day when i would drag the cursor to the edge of the screen, it would scroll the battlefield, and now it doesnt seem to scroll and i have to use my right mouse button to bring up the scroll function, does anyone know if theres a setting to enable scroll at screen edge? just feels somewhat limiting to not be able to just drag my pointer around to look round the map
When I launch a game the suppose to be transparent hud is just replaced with a pink rectangle, does anyone know how to fix this?

Slight qualm: I installed it from GenPatcher, and I loved the full 4k setup it had - it worked like a charm a few matches. Then I finished the mod installs from Gen Launcher, and tried them, and then it said "looks like the first time you played, want to set recommended settings", and I should have clicked no. Now, no matter how I set it up, it is not as good looking as before, and I am annoyed. It doesn't even have my resolution in the menu. Yet, running the genpatcher again, I can't run the options.ini patch again.... sigh.
So, I got the origin client, made an ea account long ago. I downloaded the game literally without buying it or anything, but it won't run, it is saying that i have to run ut as an administrator, but it's not working. I need help.
I do now wonder, what version of the game is the best, the Complete Collection, TheFirstDecade, or straight off the CD's they came from.

I've disabled the full screen windowed setting in Gen Tool, but I still can't edge scroll. How can I resolve this?
Edit: apparently I'm an idiot: there are 2 shortcuts for ZH. 1 normal and 1 windowed. I played the normal full screen and that went well, until I finished a gen challenge mission and right after the victory screen I received an serious error :(
On Windows 7 GenPatcher freezes during downloading/installing anything. I keep terminating the task and restarting it and it goes a bit further every time before crashing again. I have PowerShell 7 installed. Is there any way for me to expose the PowerShell task running in the background?
@@LegionnaireGenerals I don't use antiviruses or anything that might interfere with it, my installation is very lean. What I suspect is happening is that GenPatcher itself is freezing and not updating with what's happening in the background, as every time I force close it and restart it, the status on whatever I tried downloading or installing changes.

I did all the steps from a previous video of yours, I had the iso files and installed the games. For some reason me and my friend keep getting mismatches 1 sec into a LAN match. I run windows 11 on a virtual machine and my friend windows 11. I also get an error trying to install the 1.04 Zh patch. Is the reason multiplayer isn't working because of the serial keys? Or do you need to buy the origin version in order to get it working? I hope you could help me, I tried all the fixes on the internet from changing option.ini files to changing serial keys.

I followed your video step by step but still got the startup crash. any reason why? the weird part is when I click on the Generals application to start it, that loads just fine.. but any time I click on the ZH application to start it then it crashes right away

yup yup :) when you're done with GenPatcher, you basically don't need to run it again
Hi legi, zh works fine for me but i feel the camera height is a bit zoomed in although i have gentool, is there a way to increase the height and still be able to play online?
I think is possible to change a config file with camera height. If zoomed out too much, will appear black random filled zones. I think default is 300 camera height...decent can be 500, no more
The real question is, what if you already have C&C: G (and zero hour) in CD format and rather not repurchase it? I'd personally like for it to run without the CD being a requirement to play, but can't install it because my computer no longer has the option for CDs.

It’s a bug with the ea app. The only way to play the game is with on an administrator side with full permissions. It’s kinda a security hazard for your computer but if there isn’t anything important on it then have fun!

Both menu animation and all cutscene are really laggy. I mean i done everything in this video and top left corner shows the exact same as yours UR 32(300)-mine is 300. but the vids feels like laggy more like very low fps. The diffrences from you is 32(60) feels smooth like water but mine 32(300) felt like watching 10 fps scene, very annoying tbh.
So the thing is, How do i fix this "low fps menu animation and cutscene" problem ?

Origin is not working on my windows 10, is giving the error code 20:403, and when I searched then it appeared that now it's only available for pc users the EA app but idk if we NEED the Origin app or if the EA app is ok, I just wanna know just in case if we need the Origin app

Thanks alot for the Help! Just one question: I have installed GenPatcher and applied it already to fix all bugs. After re-starting the game, the window is not on full-screen mode and I can still see the windows taskbar and the upper frame of the window. Any idea how to fix that? :)

I bought a CD Key and downloaded from ( EA Games ) but the game has been downloaded in german language!! Ive searched about how can i change the language and when i change game keep crushing, is there any fix for that issue ??
I tried to put english setting on GenPatcher and the language has change to me, but the problem the voice sound still in german language, is there any way to fix, so i be able to hear ‘okay okay i will work’
Legi I have the original generals disk but not the key for zero hour. Do I still have to use origin or is there a different way of downloading.
Also is this the same for windows 10?
@@LegionnaireGenerals so since I only have the key for normal generals, I download normal generals from the disk, buy the zero hour product key then run genpatcher. Also does this work for win10

I did everything the video said to do, (I think) and it STILL won't work.

Now, the minimum requirements I don't know for sure, but I would think that since i was playing this game on a system worse than this just a few years ago, that this one would be able to handle it. I'm posting what system specs I could find, so maybe someone can tell me if I'm wrong or not. DOES my system meet the minimum requirements??

Anyone know what I can do to get this working?
I already tried disabling my virus protection when I ran the game, that didn't work. Then I tried running it in compatibility mode for several different versions of windows, as well as gave it administrator privileges. I don't know what else to try.
Generals: Zero Hour worked just fine on my last laptop, but this one it just doesn't seem to want to.

I can't start the GenPatcher because some error message: 'you don't have the right access ... bla bla'
I assume because some antivirus.
I tried to turn off real time protection, but can't because it says "Another Antivirus is running". I checked and my best guess is the: crowdStrike Falcon Sensor
But that's not really possible to turn off.
No other AV running on my system 100%
Anyone with the same issue?

you first have to turn off your anti-virus, and only then you can download GenPatcher. did you do it in this order? because that makes a big difference. the anti-virus often starts attacking GenPatcher the moment you download it :/
I saw the ultimate collection on EA, and it says it includes 10 games, but the list only contains 8 and zero hours not included. Please help

Windows 10 + generals 1920 x 1080 getting error when trying alt+tab . In window mode works but in window mode cant move camera in game without right mouse button :x
@@LegionnaireGenerals actually i was playing generals c&c on windows 10 and was able to move camera even without right mouse button and with res 1920 x 1080 . Wanted to make better reinstalled game and cant make same again . And everyone in discord say this is impossible so i got bug when i made it works :x

No, GenPatcher will close Origin/EA App if it needs to. Just disable real-time protection for Windows before downloading GenPatcher, and you'll be good to go. :)
