It is rare I see or find a woman that is in my age group. Harlem IntheBuildn Yes it is definitely a very relaxing experience. However you do have to go in with the right mindset because some guys go in with the typical mindset of making it a sexual thing more so or either trying to get that woman's number. I am sure you know how some guys get down, SMH!!! In the end it is worth it and if you ever luck up and find or have a woman friend that styles mens hair it is ten times worth the experience. After having my hair styled that particular woman always has to literally wake me up. So yeah it is truely worth it at the end of the day. #Blessings #GoodDay
You also have to go in with an open mind at first! I am about to graduate barber school and I have not done a single fade that wasn't on a white male! The other guys will barely let women touch it! Especially a white woman! It's so sad! I understand completely, but I've seen some women who are AMAZING behind them babyliss!! At this point we know they won't let us do it. We will still greet them as they walk in because that's the polite thing to do. But as soon as you walk up and ask if they are getting a cut, they look around and say "let me get that guy!" (It's normally a black gentleman.) We've even had people choose men that just started over women who are almost graduated! It's sad but it's their loss I guess!

I'm here because I moved to a new State and finding a barber has been painful. These cats are out here acting like they can do whatever they want to my head/beard. One PAINTED a hairline on me(WTF!!!?). Another put a hot comb to my beard and had me looking like a black lawn gnome. Now my full beard looks round in the front and I hate it. I've been watching beard trimming tutorials all morning and even though this isn't necessarily a tutorial, it's awesome. While I would love to find a barber that I can trust, I'm heading out to get a set of clippers/trimmers because I'm tired of the nonsense.
