This video just saved me a few quid - thanks! Mine was for a 2012 Ford Galaxy, but exactly the same process and picked up a salvaged part from eBay. Thankfully, no more buzzing!!
Happy days! Glad this helped you 👍👍
Thx .
Thanks for the tip!
Do you know if cleaning / re-oiling the part might help as well or replacement is the only way to go?
We did have a go at cleaning it and spraying some lubricant on with others that we’ve done but it didn’t help unfortunately, might work in your case though! 👍
@@theautomotiveapproach Ok, good to know. Thanks!
Where is it on Mondeo 2009? There are empty in steering column 😢
So your Mondeo is the earlier mk4, rather than the mk4.5. They only had the part installed on the later ones
hi! thank you for video but i couldnt find a new part to buy .... all i find was used and maybe has the same problem .... where i can find a new part ... thanks again
Hi! If you're looking for a new one, best try your local Ford parts centre, they'll be able to find it for you. Hope this helps! 👍👍
New part cost around 700 euro. Ford has gone nuts. A mechanic told me this and said just let this one sit. It works, noise is not a problem for 700 euro's for this tiny shit part.
Why your fan doesn't spin when you removed?
The car wasn't on when we removed it, so it wasn't powered up
@@theautomotiveapproachokay, it goes after I unlock car for while why's that?. Car need to know temp in car after I turn on conditioning not before. My mini fan make really annoying sound I guess I will replace this soon. Thanks for video I thought it was screen making that noise.
Hi. I am having a similar noise. Only hear it when the air con is on. I have a Mk5 Mondeo. What would the location of the sensor be on this model?
Hi, I'm honestly not sure we're the sensor is on the mk5 mondeo, we haven't had one in stock with that specific problem.
