Good instructions. I understand the ladle would get discolored but did you stainless pot get discolored too or was it clean? Also was it just the dye boiling or was there something else mixed in to the solution?
did you mention the ratio of the dye and water or did I miss it lol, also to answer @Pablo-wj4hb Rit has a product that does the best it can to strip down colors but it's not too effective on G10, a little on micarta but meant for fabric. It's basically bleach. And the all purpose / synthetic pretty much work the same. Just gotta dip it in longer with the powders and non synthetic.
Grateful you did this video!
It was a fun video to make
Very cool tutorial. I've heard the synthetic dye works well too. Great video 👍
Turned out sweet, good job….👍🏻
I got st101, Ef916 and ef959 and I will be acid washing the blades and dyeing the scales… great knives to practice on and d2 is solid from China now
Your mom’s going to kick your ass for messing up her pan and ladle! Kidding! Great work, thanks for the video!
Red, a really dark red is the color I would have for.
A maroon would look sick

you might be able to bleach the color and re-dye it if its too dark
I actually liked the way this one turned out, I still have this knife months after and I even got it reground
Have you died g10 before
