You should check out Swedish traveler William Taudien's channel. He just left the Maldives. He was staying right on the beach for about 20 USD. These were the smaller islands.
Hi Gabriel, You are right about the prices in the Caribbean and Hawaii prices are extensively more expensive the only thing is for people who don't want to travel far in the U.S. it makes sense to be closer and less of a commute. Southeast Asia does have many beautiful Islands like Bali and of course, in the nearby Pacific ocean, you do have many American territory Islands which include Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa to name a few of them.
Glad i am one of the toutist hordes. Give me a nice sunbed at the pool or the beach, agood book, and not too far to the nearest water hole and i be happy. Let my mind do the exploring, if it cares to bother. Still its great to see ppl. actually do it.

Also I stayed at the Stingray Beach and really enjoyed myself there. Did you see the talking parrot? I have a connection for a yacht that travels around to different islands, if you are interested. I named my price with them and they agreed. It wasn't super expensive either. Have a great time Gabriel!
Loved this thanks for taking us along. I just finished watching William it's great to see both experiences on the island and India. The difference in travel is great fun to watch.
The only tropical island 🏝 where I’ve heard Muslim prayer blasting through the speakers is the Gilli Islands just off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia 🇮🇩 Have you been there?
It's amazing seeing the very start of the Monsoon in action as the intense Heat of the Indian subcontinent sucks in warm moist air from the Arabian Sea thus driving those moist West/South West trade winds and bringing the first rains to the Maldives, Sri Lanka and South West India.

Hello there, as a person from the Maldives i will answer some of your questions. 1. No. We’ve never had any “hurricanes” as far as I remember. However it’s not uncommon to have pretty bad storms during the rainy season which just started and will last till like November. But these usually don’t last very long either. 2. Depends on the island. I know for a fact that some places offer bikes and even scooters for rent. 3. Yes. As Maldives being a muslim country any form of nudity in a local area is very frowned upon and could land you on some good trouble. (Probably wouldn’t get you a death sentence tho lol) All drugs are illegal and will get you in a lot of trouble with the law enforcement here. 4. Yes you absolutely can take the leftovers in 99% of the restaurants. At least here in the local islands Well thats all :) Hope you come here sometime it’s pretty nice. If you do I recommend flying south, in Fuvahmulah there’s a really good spot to dive with tigers.
