It was no accident that Bajaj/Triumph released this in India first. Given the extreme riding conditions there, any quality control issues with the new bike/engine would show up right away. So far I have not heard about any. I also think they made a wise decision to make it look more like a Japanese bike than a Triumph, which should broaden its appeal. If they can keep the price below US $4,000 when they release it here next year they won't be able to build enough of them.

@@obeii1805 Yes, US $4995 list, which is half the price of any other new bike with the Triumph badge in the US. At that price point, (plus any additional dealer markup) they'll sell, but I don't think the demand will be crazy high. A lot will depend on whether they are actually powerful enough to use safely on the insane US highways.

      Hi Akshay,
I have my experience on the Speed 400 only. Let me put my thoughts based on that.
KTM 390 Adv is a proved touring motorcycle. Its fun to ride, reliable as per KTM standards, and its a tall bike. No doubt on mistake going for that.
I was not allowed to ride Scrambler 400 X on that day. But as per my checks, Scram is not as tall as KTM, also feels like a more semi road oriented motorcycle. Quality and fit and finish is excellent and better than KTM. But if you are someone who never wanna go wrong with anything in your life, KTM is better, because good or bad, its proved on our roads. But if you wanna take a bit of a first owner problems, go for scrambler. The quality of the motorcycle will put a smile on your face when your ride it.

The real problem with this bike is that its not really a triumph. Its a generic subcontract built bike with a Triumph badge slapped on the side.

A beautiful bike. Let's be realistic here. 29kmpl? I would expect a mileage of 19kmpl. But then who buys 400cc bikes for the mileage :)

No showroom within 1000kms. Otherwise I would have considered it.
I want to book v storm. Would it be comfortable for 20% off-road?
Is it's suspension better than classic 350? It's my current bike. I don't want another RE bike.
