- On our recent tour to Poland we were fortunate to have the opportunity to play the wonderful 2018 Zych Pipe Organ of the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy (Sanktuarium Bożego Miłosierdzia) in Łagiewniki, Krakow.
We hope you enjoy Jonathan's solo organ arrangement of Pietro Mascagni's Intermezzo Sinfonico from his opera "Cavalleria Rusticana" on this fantastic pipe organ in this very special place.

Wow, right to the soul. It's beautiful!
This organ is such a piece of art. I almost find it a waste that it wasn't setup in a concert like manner. I mean look at how beautiful it looks in the footage where he is sitting there playing with the whole background of the whole room. It looks absolutely stunning visually.

To my mind this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. I can't hear it without tears in my eyes and an ache in my heart. Jonathan, always beautifully and sensitively played.

While I love the look of more traditional pipe work and consoles I have to say I find the look of this organ and venue marvellous. Also loved the slower tempo of this piece - have heard many renditions over the years, most wonderful in their own right. Therein lies the beauty of music, so many variables to enjoy. Well done again boys!

Saw the opera some years ago. Certainly appreciated this piece. But never so much as when I heard it in "Godfather III". Brought the story full circle--could not have been more appropriate. Jonathan Scott's production is beyond compare!!!

That organ looks like it has a lot of room for expansion.
Take a look at its specs on the makers website - its huge already - really does not need extra
@@epincion It is a marvellous organ and the acoustics of the church are very good so I really enjoyed listening to this piece. My comment about room for expansion is based on the arrangement of the stop knobs. I can see that there is room for additional stops on the console for each division. In my youth, about 35 years ago, I worked for an organ tuner and on one call, he remarked about the organ that a planned division and stops in other divisions had never been installed. He pointed to the space that had been left in each division; it looked like this organ.
It is also possible that given the width of the console that the builder just arranged the stop pulls closer to the centre and no additional stops are planned.
Hearing a pipe organ well-played live is one of life's greatest pleasures. This Australian lived in London for a few years and that was probably the best thing about London.
