That's good to hear, Josh! I heard of this on the news. At first I didn't think about the location since they spoke about some place I didn't know of. But then a woman in some kind of leading position was holding a press conference, and she spoke about Maine. So I got a little worried, but I'm really glad you're alright.

Thanks, Mette! You were one of the first people to reach out to me. Tomas heard the news too (pinned comment) and he's in Sweden, so all of Scandinavia must've heard about it. A few minutes ago on the nightly news they said the location this guy wanted to "target" this summer was in Saco; yikes!

Sad what happened how are you feeling about it all?

Yes, it was. A guy went into a bowling alley and a bar and shot it up. 18 people are dead and 13 were injured. There was a search for a suspect, but they found his body in a trailer a few days later. It's kind of surreal too that the suspect had threatened a location in Saco earlier this year, which only came out recently, so if things had gone differently I could have been a lot closer. Maine is a safe state overall, so it's surprising that this happened. There is definitely some theft, vandalism, etc., but not much violent crime like this. I'm hoping people won't be afraid to visit next summer.

@@Toddlane43 I heard about that on the news too. Apparently, he wanted to do this attack back in May, which is when I was still living in Saco. The Army also issued some sort of directive saying he should lose access to firearms. Where his body was found was the recycling plant he worked at until June. Some co-workers said he made threats there, but it was swept under the rug.
