It still baffles me that they made the decision to make this the weakest lancer in any gears game by far, while ALSO removing active reload bonus. “Support weapon” sure, but it should also punish enemies who can’t navigate cover effectively. You can walk around freely while taking lancer hits and at a leisurely pace just lightly jog into cover and you’ll still be at 50% health. Just silly.
Lancer was so nerfed. But what i dont understand is why at point blank i do the perfect 14 shots to down an enemy but the game just says no and mark always 64 of damage while i always get killed with 12 hits even when they shot me on the chest. This thing affect controler players more than it did to pc players. I really hate The coalition for the unnecesary nerfs.
I do not know how i miss at close range, i play on contrôler and sometimes i litteraly have it on my ennemi and still miss, just today i fire an ennemy, that was litteraly running towards me with a shotgun. LITTERALY RUNNING TOWARD ME , AND I WAS SHOOTING HIM, AND HE STILLS MANAGES TO KILL LE OFF!
@@GoldLBS um...no it wasn't buddy. There was Way to many campers at launch because the lancer was a monster weapon that would over power anyone. Even people with gnashers never got to use them because how dominating the lancer was. Still now even after lancer was nerfed the game hasn't balanced because they made it Way too weak.
@@alio6051 That was cause the active reload changes Gears 4 made being able to get the reload bonus without firing a single shot so of course the Lancer was op at launch then once actives got removed from spawn weapons what a surprise the most consistent and powerful one-two shot weapon, the gnasher shotgun is pretty much what everybody uses now, leaving the Lancer and Snub to be useless.
Worst thing is the fact there's no really secondary main weapon, only lancer, no kaomax or marka, not other pistol, no other base shotgun. At least if you have to minimize the damage and the range make it good at close range or gives us other main weapon, im getting tired of getting killed and kill with the same weapon over and over again
This video is good. I dont think the game is good. I also believe that the visual bullets that come out (and the sound) are not reflective of the actual hits that are coming out of the gun.

What I got from this video is the lancer is honestly horrible as a solo weapon which just kills me... I'll just stick to horde if that's the case.
Because people think gears is oy about gnasher. Lancer was perfect at launch.
