I have the Tandy version of this and it's been a great machine for most of my needs. I like the compact table, but at the same time I wish I had the large table. And the only thing that gets annoying is trying to set matching stitch lengths for forward and reverse.
The Sailrite Fabricator model does. I have one, and it also does just fine with a couple of layers of 5 oz. Veg tan leather. I also use it for heavy weight (14-15 oz.) Waxed canvas with no problem.
It looks great. As far as I can tell, this is the Ultrafeed LS-1 with a servo motor, dedicated table and a smooth walking foot. Are there any other differences?
Looks like it.... I have an ls1 paired with the servo motor. I built the table and foot pedal out of plywood since shipping to Hawaii for that was crazy. Works awesome I mainly do gym upholstery.

Most of my leather work is hand stitched but I'm interested in a walking foot machine for my heavy fabric projects (holsters/phone cases). Anyone have comments for this machine's use through heavy fabric & polypropylene straps?
The color is a no for me but you guys really hit the mark on those knurled feet/dogs! You should not have to alter feet for these more expensive brands of machines, no sane person wants claw marks on the bottom of their work! 👌🏾
Yes, but I would order the following presser foot and feed dog for better grip on upholstery fabrics: www.sailrite.com/Feed-Dog-for-Ultrafeed-LS-1-Straight-Stitch-Sewing-Machine www.sailrite.com/Outer-Foot-for-Ultrafeed-LS-1

Thanks!!!!
I guess Im kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Jaime Houston Try Flixzone. Just google for it :)

They are; I currently have 2.

I love how the servo motor is under the table like a full industrial, but the table is also very small. If only it came with a knee lifter.

How many shillings you buy it?

Also speed reducer. And cool new color.
I have a really old hand crank singer sewing machine that recently broke. If I can't get it fixed... maybe.
If I glue my edges can the glue interfere with the needle making needle all clogged up with the glue?
In most cases the glue will not cause any sewing issues. If it does use a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol on it and clean the needle.
Hi. I have several larger size threads . 207 and 277 . Would that size work with this machine.? Thanks.
Well done, Mister Grant. I like this quite a bit....
How does this compare to the Tandy model you released a year or two ago?
Same-same?
Exact same. I have the Tandy version. Pretty solid little machine.

My LSZ-1 has been set up in a similar manner.

Does this machine sew all kinds of upholstery fabric
Yes, but I would order the following presser foot and feed dog for better grip on upholstery fabrics:

I need help with this machine. I purchased one used and I cannot get it to sew and it makes clunking noises.
Contact Sailrite at support@sailrite.com and we will be glad to help resolve your issues.
And how about thread I mean is it good for all kind of threads
Yes, it will work with Polyester and Nylon threads.
Nice machine 👍. Upright rotary bobbin case?
No, it is an occulting hook and is vertical.
Can I used this in thick garments like jeans and thick fabric bags?
It sews leather and sails so jeans would be nothing to it
Can I use a size larger than V-92 by using a different needle?
I have used a V-138 polyester on this machine and it does work, yes.
Very nice. Are you planning to sell a kit to turn an LS-1 into a leather machine (table, slow speed pulley, servo motor, smooth feed dogs)?
You can purchase everything you just named separately. And cut the current table down yourself!
@@cp3onmtv963 I couldn’t find the speed reducing pulley system on the Sailrite site. Do you by chance have a link for that?
