I've had my Favricator sewing machine for a couple of years now and totally agree. I use it for upholstery, bags and recently started on leather. When Sailrite makes a walking foot with a zig-zag I could use it for sail making/repair. I'll buy it,
Please do more videos on the fabricator. I’d love to see a sewing demo/tutorial. I recently bought one and it would help a ton especially being new the machine realm. Thanks for the amazing content!
Bro. I been watching your videos for a few years and I love you guys. Especially your kids. So adorable!! You also have a great wife. Such a loyal trooper she is. Hard working and a great mother. PLEASE don't mess that up! Young men after too many shots of tequila and your wife is out of town. The scars that makes never completely heal. Take it from an older dude who has lived this story too many times. So with the life coaching out of the way, I have seen a few vids of yours on sewing machines and you have gone thru the gamut of machines. So, NOW this Sailrite is the MAN. I just spoke with Bill at Sailrite and he gave me a ton of time talking machines. He seemed way more helpful that I could hope from a salesperson at a machine shop. I will be doing mostly 12-14 oz English Bridle belts with a 2-3oz veg tan lining as well as wallets. I am told this is the best crossover machine for these things. I have limited cash so I don't want to get it wrong! Do you think this is the best path for the 2 things I am doing? Is there a link that I can go thru you and get a discount or have it send you guys some cash? Thanks, Frank t/a Red Oak Leathers
I had one of the red SailRite straight stitch machine's that I bought the leather feet & feed dogs for. It worked pretty well on medium weight leathers & I really miss that machine. When I'm ready to get a new one, you've convinced me this is the way to go. Great info! Thank you!
It was this one or 2750 and you making me regret my choice lol. Might just have to be my next big purchase 🤔 thanks for the videos. Keep up the great work sir
Thanks for the information. I struggle with hand stitching sometimes. There VA decided I need these pills to stay alive that give me a bad shake especially after a while. I've thought about the infamous Chinese thing, but I think it might be more trouble than it's worth. Spending the money on these really will be a struggle for me as in stuck in the gray area of not making enough stuff to sell much and VA disability not going far enough for big purchases. But enough of that. Thanks again for the info on that.
For the machine and the kit to sew leather the cost is around 2.639.45 you can buy a sewing machine set up to sew leather out of the box sailrite is not the best deal out there
I have been watching your videos. I’m new here I sewing leather but have sewn and embroidered for a really long time. I want to work with customizing shoes. What machine do you recommend for that?
I have an LSZ 1 from sailrite. I can’t seem to get it to not skip stitches and just rip through my leathers. Almost no matter what’s adjustments I make it still skips stitches and I have to go back and hand crank it. If anyone has tips let me know. Or maybe sailrite just just sucks? 💁🏼♀️
This is a slightly worse 1541 with better marketing lol...I'm not sure what's all different but it looks like a remake of that old Tacsew/Mitsubishi 111 Triple Feed Walking Foot. Never liked the tension assm./pre tensioning on those for leatherwork. a Big Hook and a M-Class bobbin should have you in the #207-#277 range for the kind of money the Fabricator costs...I feel like you have to *really really* want this to choose it over a 1508/1541.
I think I agree. I am not a machine professional, but I feel as though the Sailrite is an expensive knock-off. If I get into these prices, I think if look at a truly dependable machine that I can fix. I believe that you know more than I do, however. I'd be interested in your views.
Are you using the standard or Deluxe Fabricator. You might’ve covered that in the video, but I was in a rush to watch it, so I didn’t absorb everything you were saying, but if you could just maybe repeat what you said, or just let me know which machine you were using. I started out making Leather dog leashes and selling a few here and there for Years ago, when I started it I never used rivets or anything didn’t need them. Then I came across the other people were using rivets. I guess it looks nice on the dog leash whatever. Then I noticed some people were actually sewing the finished products together after they did the braid. As a hobby, I guess I would like to do something like this, some people tell me just do it by hand. My hands are not as good as they used to be, and neither is the strength, I have knife sheaths that have come apart. The leather is still good. I mean you could beat Leather up. it’s amazing how long it can last if you take care of it, I have dog leashes that are over 30 years old. I’ve always taken care of them and they look like they’re definitely used but not fraying or anything.
We're glad you're enjoying the Fabricator with the Leather Craft package! We can't wait to see what you make with it!
The fabricator is a great machine! I wish they had a cylinder arm version with a flat bed attachment

I bought one, too. Same here!
That’s great feedback and we will work on it!

Do you have a comparison video with the leather worker ?
I have had zero luck with my Sailrite Leatherwork. Machine is great, the user is another story.
What happened to the techsew 2750? Do you still Recommend that one ?
I'm still lovin' the Juki you recommended a few years ago.
Thank you for the video!! I have been researching leather sewing machines. I really like the Fabricator but can you sew a gusset with this machine???
Great video, going to make a trip to their shop, it 5 hour drive, going to get same one that you have
Adding to the last comment, Why is it that you do not recommend a cylinder arm?
Very good information things I did not know. Thanks for the review! Awesome....
Would love to be able to get one in U.K. would be a ambassador for it.
I love my Fabricator ❤

Why the regret? Doesn't the cylinder arm have some significant advantages?

So now you got the new cog, do you still like your Techsew cylinder machine? Sail rite is awesome❤
They mostly sell in US.
Here Jack is slowly gaining market share.
ADLER & PFAFF automatic 👌🏼❤
He knows it working GOOD! While opening the package!😝
To everyone complaining they cant afford it. Try financing it. Just a thought. My only complaint is i dont have any space for it!

Definitely cheaper, otherwise, doesn't compare to the techsew 2750. If nothing else, the cylinder arm with flat top add on makes it twice as versatile
How many sewing machines do you have? How many do you need?

also, how does the sail rite compare to Weaver 303?
You are my inspiration boss
Do you still use your 1508?
Bro, still waiting on that follow up video…….
Can't afford 🥺

I thought you sold your business and we’re making motorcycles with your father?
That is all true but we are still working with leather and creating content! Doing all the stuff we love!
