    A while ago I put the Grayguns short reset kit and flat trigger in my P30, however, to address one of the concerns you brought up, I paired that modification with some HK factory parts to convert to Variant 4.1CH. This effectively prestages the LEM trigger a little, resulting in the flat trigger not sitting as far forward in the trigger guard, as well as a little less take-up before the wall. I'm very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend the v4.1 conversion to anyone interested in the other modifications.

      @@ASPextra It's definitely worth looking at, but please be advised that in addition to the 4.1 conversion parts from HK, you will need a different SRT kit from Grayguns. They make one specific to the 4.1 I believe.

    • @rtucker1004
      @rtucker1004 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The LEM has a precocked hammer. Each time the slide goes back, the hammer cocks. Result is a 5lb pull. If you get a misfire you can dbl action pull it at ~12lbs to double strike the round.

    • @billjohnsonseattle
      @billjohnsonseattle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You really have to try it to understand how awesome it is. Every trigger pull is the same, so there’s no problems with dealing with two different triggers like you do with a traditional double action / single action gun. Find a gun range that has the LEM available to try.

    Thanks for the video. Some questions: How is the mounting system compared to the others you have used? Does it sit higher? Lower? Do you have to remove the plate to get the pin out for the firing pin? Are any parts different in the slide with the mounting system? Are any of the internal trigger parts plated and/or hand fitted? Hope to get updates from you when you have more time on the gun and maybe the lighter trigger setup. Right now, I bounce back and forth between Glock and a 92 LTT. I really would like to give a LTT P30 LEM a try if I can figure out what setup would work best for me (Light/Med.) , (Flat Trigger/Standard Trigger), etc.

    I prefer a single action hammer pistol like 1911 , why put to much work in a double action pistol to get the feel of the single action pistol. If it’s for the safety reason, that is the function thumb safety
    Sadly most striker pistol with thumb safety are terrible, like my shield plus
    The only “decent” thumb safety is on the M&P compact, so you can set up a light trigger.
    I only understand the double action trigger, for the first shot argument, but if you don’t feel that first long travel why have a double action. Maybe I missing something

    The P30 is a very cool looking pistol !! But the USP is the one you want for SHTF !! If these two pistols were people the P30 would be the pretty boy who constantly looks at himself in every mirror he comes across and the USP is the tough guy with a heart of gold that no one wants to piss off because he will FREAKING DESTROY THEM !! If they went to the beach the P30 would have all the chicks looking at him and the USP would be the guy who wears socks with sandals and just doesn't give a sh*t what people think because he knows he could wipe them all off the face of the planet without working up a sweat : )

    John, I know you were excited(here comes the cyber RSO), but at 3:46 it appears you aim that gun right at your head without having checked whether it was safe to handle, and either way, I know you wouldn’t advocate pointing a gun at your head regardless sir :)

      In yesterday's video he picked up a VP70 off the counter and pulled the trigger. He may have checked it beforehand but even if the room's an ammo-free zone if a gun leaves my sight even for a second I check it when I pick it up again.
