I love KC. Chicago and Illinois were great but are slowly dying. KC is small, but deserves to be the capitol of the Midwest.

good 5 minute video of kansas city , but when i say im from kansas city, i dont limit myself to just a 5 by 5 mile strip of kansas city proper, ... i include the whole kansas city bi-state area as my home and city. whether you live in johnson county, liberty, kcmo, or kck it is all one big city and community of 2.1 million people.

19 year Kansas Citian, and I can say that your video is great. Really good production!
Only thing that you know from living here, Kansas City itself actually extends much further north than just the river.
It stretches north past I-435 on the map you showed.
The section you presented is considered Downtown, and Midtown.

    • @Bostwiki
      @Bostwiki  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

+Dewey Decimal Thanks for watching as always man! This is a great comment and because this such a small channel it allows me to like actually talk to you (guys/girls) honestly. So like yeah- I agree. In this video I missed westport, and the crossroads, and 18th and vine etc... And there's a few reasons for this. One, they're harder to shoot haha BUT two, places like NAM and the Plaza are both visually unique and allow me an easier time to pair my thoughts/narrative/etc with an image. So from an editorial perspective while the arc is told through talking to a friend--- by also being on youtube, it's de facto also for an audience completely uninformed with the area. And I felt i'd focus on more prominent places.
As you can tell though, I do love the crossroads as I dedicated an video entirely to First Fridays haha. And I would argue for locals, the nightlife at Westport is far more rewarding than P&L.
Anyway thanks for watching, and thanks for commenting.

I live in Kansas city. At 4:11, the building with the green canopy, is now a gaming bar called the pawn and pint! It is an amazing place for gamers of all kinds. I have only been there once, but I loved it that one time. It's not expensive to go in and you can stay for as long as you like and play any amount of games. They own 2 walls worth of games including 4 different monoplies, one scrabble, a book case of card games, and they even have themed nights. Every month they have a Harry Potter night, there is a speed dating night, and even dnd gaming nights. I don't own it, but if you like to game go and discover it. You just have to look up the Pawn and Pint in Kansas City on google and it should be the first result.

I moved to KC a year ago admittedly not knowing much about the city- but so far it's been great. Pleasant weather with four seasons- I don't mind very hot summers, I'm OK with 90-plus degrees. Easy traffic- some people think I'm crazy but seriously- Kansas City is an EASY city to drive through compared to some of the other places I've been. Great restaurants and museums, and friendly people. Kansas Citians are right up there with Minnesotans as the most friendly people I've been around.
I used to live in Orlando and Nashville- nice places that I enjoyed and wouldn't mind living in again. I lived in L.A.- it was all right but I'm not into the whole glamorous Hollywood scene. I also lived in Seattle- I could tell you what a miserable city Seattle is but that's for another time and place. I've been in KC for about a year and so far so good. I couldn't be happier.

What I love most about this city is how spread out everything really is. From the Truman sports complex, the zoo, and Worlds of Fun to the east. Everything you mentioned in the center except for the failure to mention Union station and the WWI museum. To Kansas Speedway, Sporting park, Tbones, Schlitterbahn and eventually the American Royal to the west. Its like a mini road trip to anywhere. Oh and as honorable mentions in the west is the Renaissance Festival, Sandstone amphitheater, Agricultural hall of fame and Lakeside speedway. KC has so much to do and not all in one place, and still some I didn't mention.

KC MO is the big city where all the important and exciting stuff is located. There is not much in Kansas as it all post world war II sprawling nothingness. Downtown is booming and the beautiful urban districts extend from the Missouri River (1st St.) south to 75th St(the Waldo district). All these districts clung together creates a very interesting and exciting urban stew. Kansas City Missouri is truly one of the world's great cities.

KC, Kansas is just a wealthy suburban area, not much to see for tourists. That's why Overland Park, KS and Johnson County in general is one of the best places to live in the US.

    •  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

KCK is like north tiajuana. it' infested with mexicans. you can't even see a sign in english
yes, there is the legends area. but that is western wyndotte county and miles from the actual city
yes, most of the stuff- including the stadiums, airport, arenas etc- are in KCMO. the people in MO pay for everything and the people in "prestigious Johnson County" use it

The PedoProphet Muhhamad ummm no the city BASICALLY belongs to missouri, it's funded by MISSOURI it's located in missouri, sure kansas may have some big suburbs but nothing compared to the actual city, without kc mo they wouldn't be nearly as big, the reason some people think it is in kansas is bc is called kansas city. it's not.

People from the northeast keep flocking to Charlotte, NC because of warmer weather and a lower cost of living but I read on the internet that Kansas City has a lower cost of living than Charlotte. I’ve never been to KC but it sounds like a great place and somewhere I’d consider. I wouldn’t mind living somewhere cheaper and living in the Midwest after being in the east coast almost all my life.
