Great video as always, but I wanted to make a comment here to voice the same concern that a few others have had. Please be more selective with your sponsorship deals. The people wanting to push NFTs, even in games have been repeatedly identified as bad actors. It should also be said that Gabe Newel banned NFT games from Steam for the same reason.

Another reason to add to the long long list of why it's no longer worth playing OSRS because screw competing with bots. My time on this earth is limited, I wanna enjoy a game, not fight against bots and their knock-on effects.
To clarify my negative review: I spent about 400hours over the month, and in most of that time I felt like I was part of a big new thing, and actually making money - I got lucky with the deadmau5 collections, and lost a lot on snoops stuff when he pulled out temporarily. Things really changed when I noticed that a large number of the legendary catalysts I was holding was rotating between the same 5 owners with the price rising and rising - and the owners were recognisable: they all moderate the Sandbox discord server. I am not going to start a witch-hunt on these guys, but know that this project suffers the same price-fixing issue that I was worried about from other games like Blankos Block Party. It is directly designed to get your money first from the LAND/SAND selling. They do not care about what happens afterwards, and want to go towards decentralised voting based off of the amount of SAND you own. Its a joke, and I hope you stay away from this in the future SirPugger.

These things are always universally scams and this is a really bad look for someone trying to grow their channel. Please reconsider taking these sponsorships in the future.
This is actually a really interesting and unique use of blockchain technology. Just because you don't understand what a blockchain is and how it could be used in this manner doesn't make it a scam lol
That's because all of the profit osrs brings the Chinese jagex management put it all back into rs3. Unfortunately we pay for jagex to instead improve rs3
The reason people don't like the sponsorship is quite rational. Just because the game is free to play doesn't change the fact that the core monetization is bad. It's a boring rpg with a place to look at nfts. Which are historically scams, artwork stolen from artists, or lazy re-skins of the same image, with the only value being speculative. The idea is to hope a bigger sucker comes and pays more than you did, with his hopes being the exact same. There is no inherent value. Not to mention how devastating to the environment they are. Also keep in mind that owning an nft doesn't even mean you own the image, you own a link to the image in an image hosting site. All of these reasons have pushed people away from nft projects. So, when a boring rpg with bad mechanics comes (I tried it out) and the only redeeming quality is that it has nfts, people don't like it. The only thing that I like about this, is that maybe less people will bot and rwt in osrs when these games exist.
"The idea is to hope a bigger sucker comes and pays more than you did" Have you heard of capitalism? You're calling people suckers, to imply a negative connotation on a buy/sell commodity market. It's not a mic drop statement. It's the same thing has been been going on and working for years. If you don't want a nft, don't buy it. Everything else you've said is highly opinionated and shows you don't have a clue about normal art, localized art, creative projects, creative Commons etc. And if you want to hop on the it's bad for the environment bandwagon make sure you're doing you're absolute best to decrease your carbon footprint print. Otherwise this entire post reeks of virtue signaling. And no I I don't have any interest in Sandbox or interest NFTs. I just dislike entitled comments.
@@LuvMehSi The difference between an nft and other forms of consumerism is, with a product or service I'm trading money for something of value (for example, I buy a rs sub to get entertainment from rs for a month), conversly with an nft the only value is what the other person will pay for it, there is no inherent value as the image can be easily duplicated for free with the exact same value. Its purely speculative, therefore totally pointless. This causes "investors" to be willfully ignorant and ignore blatant issues, since if people aren't buying the value drops to zero (which is non existent for a product with inherent value). Not to mention the speculative nature makes the soace rife with scams. Thats different than the investment in a company however, the money you put into the company will be used to grow the company, thereby increasing the value of the piece of the company you own (which cant be duplicated for the same value). regarding artists. nfts dont help artists. just look at how many independent artists have had their art stolen and made into nfts. just check the deviantart protect numbers for a small example. regarding the environment. You dont need to be an environmental saint to criticize especially egregious things. a single transaction with Ethereum has an equivalent carbon footprint of over 225 000 VISA transactions, or over 17 000 hours of watching youtube videos, which was after their "going green" initiative in may 2021. Most nfts use eth based tech, and are designed to be traded. So, I dont need to be 100% green to be able to say thats too much, and waay to harmful. Its not virtue signaling, its pointing out when a bad system is bad.
Gonna point out I'm not a fan of NFTs in their current form. On the topic of the environmnent, I get your concern. ETH is moving to a PoS system soon, though. PoS doesn't use any hardware to actually "mine" Ether, rather you put the it into a pool and get rewarded for holding it there (atleast that's how earning it should work as far as I know). The game I don't know much about, besides the SAND crypto blowing up a lot for quite a few months. That's about all I got, hopefully Pugger takes some time to consider the people giving feedback.
This game offers consumable NFT's. In that - it means you USE your NFT to progress in the game, or sell it for real money. It's literally no different then the steam market place to a consumer.

@SirPugger Explaining the toxicity of the NFT and crypto space as a whole is simply not feasible in a youtube comment. I can only recommend doing your research into NFTs yourself, if you've somehow been living under a rock. I personally recommend Folding Ideas's video "Line Goes up - The Problem With NFTs". This is not a trivial ask, but nor is this a trivial issue. You're going to get a lot of shit for this ad, so you at least owe it to yourself to understand why. NFTs are inherently problematic, and therefor any and all uses of them are problematic by association. It is entirely impossible to have a "good" NFT product, when to have an NFT product at all is to support the entire system. This game may not be intending, on its own merits, to scam people, but it's participating in an ecosystem that is inherently predatory.

There’s no way the sponsor named their cryptocurrency “SAND” so that when it inevitably becomes worthless people can say it has about the same value. 💀 Seriously, I hope you consider avoiding sponsors like this in the future. Even if you put aside the questionable morals, bad actors, exit scams, and corporate-worldview-of-creativity associated with NFTs, there are still issues. There have been other “free to play” currency-linked game concepts, and almost all of them rely on people who whale, or making the grind so insane that you eventually feel compelled to spend real money. That only just scratches the surface. I know this is going to sound controversial but... While the loot keys are a brilliant idea, it doesn't serve much in the way of slowing down inflation caused by bots, because the profits don't disappear but instead are given to the PKer. Perhaps Jagex could change PK-loot so that the player who dies straight-up loses 50% of their inventory (gets deleted) and nobody profits from it. They could then make a new quest that is kinda long and tedious, but the reward is that your 50% loot from getting PK'd no longer disappears. Bot farms wouldn't take the time to do the quest, and even at 50% less loot for the PKer, the keys still make it profitable enough that players are incentivized to slaughter the bots with less impact on the overall economy.
It incentivizes pking. Which may incentivize pk-bots. And people may decide to farm the bots. more bots being killed = less money for bots (less profit) = less incentive to bot = less bots = lowered item/gp generation. But obviously banning bots and deleting their items would be ideal. PKing is a predatory behavioral and I agree this doesn't decrease botting by much. The loot keys have made killing certain bots very profitable. Hopefully that leads to bans or less botting.
@@user-zu1ix3yq2w yeah I totally understand the bot-pk “cycle”, I’m just saying that the items/profits the bots are making aren’t disappearing - just simply getting transferred to the PKer and ultimately still makes its way into the economy. I think if there were a way to straight-up delete 50% of PK loot (before getting the proposed quest reward), the items/profits from bots would have a 50% less impact on items/currency in circulation. PKers would still be incentivized to kill the bots because even at 50% loot the fact they can hold more via keys is still worth it.
@@etchieSketchie Yeah but what I was saying is: not all of the loot makes it into the economy (i.e. inflation) because this does actually discourage botting somewhat as the bot farmers are making less profit -- they're not going to farm for the benefit of random pkers. (unless they were still making enough profit, but i doubt that.) If I had to guess, it helps (very) minorly. And I'm interested to see how it might evolve. I.e. pkers preying on bots to make easy cash, then pk bots get made, etc. Pkers stop reporting the bots, etc. What you're proposing is what EVE Online does. I dunno if it would be good or bad for osrs (no comment) but I think we all would like the balance of the economy to be preserved. I'm personally not a fan of the GE. I dunno if Jagex has some "you got pk'd you're a bot" metric or not. So I don't see loot keys preventing botting by much. I know if you didn't send clicks to the game, they wouldn't ban you (might still be true today, idk.)
You know what they say, pump while telling everyone you're stupid and don't understand crypto, and then disappear when the scam inevitably shits itself
I mean, while I don't like the idea of using bots for profit, I think it could be a really fun programming challenge to make a bot just for yourself, not for profit or anything.
i’ve been doing this recently and it’s been really fun. i made a steven ripoff (though with more functions) and a beggar bot that has a bunch of human-like quirks
Ubisoft got ripped on by millions of gamers for adding NFTs to it's products, because of course they did, it's a blatant cash grab that doesn't do anything positive for the consumer. But The Sandbox, and all other small indie blockchain games somehow get a pass right. Wrong
its the implementations of it. ubisoft has been on hot water for constantly adding pointless cash grabs and adding NFTs to already existing games was the newest version. the indie games like sandbox basically are making NFTs with a game attached. its a case of Sandbox is being forefront with their monetary goal with the NFTs. its like loot boxes in Star Wars Battlefront 2 vs mobile gacha games. one game you have to pay upfront with loot boxes on the side the other one is free with the loot boxes as a core system. (most) people know what they get into when starting the mobile gacha games. granted i myself will probably never partake in any NFTs in a game.
Holy shit people are sensitive. The fact that people drop a content creator because they're trying to pay their bills reaks of entitlement. To you guys I say bye! You don't have to play or support "The sandbox" Kudos for Pugger for getting another sponsor for his channel! Keep on hustling. You're content is solid.
It doesn't matter if a product is actually good vs. a scam. If the general opinion is that it's a scam, you're going to get flak by associating with it even if it's great in reality. If you really think it's worth the backlash, go ahead and take the sponsorship. But you should keep the health of your channel and its viewership in mind - you can't expect your viewers to spend time 'doing research' on a sponsorship they don't like when what they actually want to do is just enjoy your content.
Cool video as always. Bad choice of a Sponsor. Defending a crypto game is not gonna make your audience like NFT more. It's not you, but people in the gaming sphere are heavily against it and Steam just banned NFT's in games for obvious reasons. Anyways you get my like for the awesome content as always ;)

Wow... Pugger clearly does not do his research on his sponsors. This will be the last SirPugger video I watch. Please research SandBox BEFORE using it.
Speaking from experience , I appreciate your effort in these bot busting videos and giving people useful information as to how to find some bot farms and tell the different between player or alt and a bot, but they’ll always be one step ahead on so many levels. Bots will never go away, and with some of the farms I’ve seen over the years, them losing 20-30 accounts isn’t even a dent in their “account reserves” if that’s the correct way to put it. I don’t encourage botting at all, I don’t personally bot but know irl friends and internet friends that do, and some of these scripts are so sophisticated it’s mind blowing. Just like a pvp bot can give even the best pvp’er a run for their money? A pvm bot can do the same. And with people selling level 120+ accounts for sometimes less than $100, it’s not hard to have a huge farm if you have the initial capital to invest into it.
It obviously makes an impact. Coding a bot is a PITA. Running a bot farm, setting up the servers, paying for the servers (and staying profitable), etc. is a bit of a PITA too. Automation is a concept that hardly works without intervention. Running a bot farm is much harder than running a script/bot on your computer. A lot of people seem to run scripts for their character without the intention of gold farming or RWT.
idk what the point of this comment is, basically saying don't bother with reporting bots? That's such a dumb thing to say. Just because botters are a step ahead, doesn't mean we should accept them. Because the only thing stopping bots from completely ruining the economy is them being banned, the game devs don't have a choice, they have to fight them the best they can.

"The idea is to hope a bigger sucker comes and pays more than you did"
Have you heard of capitalism?
You're not buying an image, it's a link to a host of the image on the Blockchain; the image helps identify which token is yours

NFTs are inherently problematic, and therefor any and all uses of them are problematic by association.
Glad he's against scammers in osrs but down to scam his viewers in other ways :)
You don't have to play or support "The sandbox"
Kudos for Pugger for getting another sponsor for his channel!
It's cool if you believe it's a legit game and you like playing it, but you're dismissing your audience point of view on the subject as a whole I think...
Anyways you get my like for the awesome content as always ;)
I can't believe you'd allow a sponsor that makes NFTs.
I just discovered a massive bot farm in the god wars dungeon. All around lvl 70-90 same stats above 80 str, wearing same gear. They are in every world farming ecumenical keys. Could be something to look into
Why the reupload?
I found some random bot farm today also in GE. They were asking if anybody have rune set (to give for free of course), and they would trade and accept only that item. They kept spamming that and had no reaction to any messages, so 100% sure it is a bot
why did you remove the first one?
It wasn't loading in HD for a lot of people!
@@SirPugger makes sense! Thank you
I think he wanted to delete all the dislikes and comments from the people mad about the scam sponsorship.
Bot farm in rev caves in level 30 wild in the Revenant pyrefiends area. They teleport instantly if seen.
Unsubscribing until Pugger gets it through his head the same people who run bot farms and staking loan sharks are the exact same kind of people who make NFT scams. You should definitely know better, Pug.
LMAO
Idk if you'll see this, but for about a month there's been a bot farm at chaos druids north of ardy all wearing full addy and a saradomin sword. there's one on almost every world.
Been a fan of your content for a while now, sad to see you're supporting crypto/blockchain bullshit, won't been coming back to watch your content. It was nice while it lasted!
FYI hes deleting comments that are gaining traction complaining about it
@@lennerd6 Then so be it.
Dumb complaint.. you’re gonna stop following/supporting somebody because they vaguely promote economic or financial independence? 🤦♂️
7:22 The way that bot turns to look at that loot.
This sponsorship was pretty terrible man
Please explain!
@@SirPugger All of these various blockchain "get rich quick" games stink of various ponzi schemes. The NFT market itself is so full of scammers there is no real way to trust what is legit and what isn't, and even if it was legit, the market is highly volatile, there is a reason the gaming community doesn't like it and why steam have banned these blockchain "games". Your response in the comments have been copied and pasted to several responses which I would guess is a contractual obligation, but it just all looks very poor on your half, there are plenty of other sponsors out there you could have taken, and its on you for picking such a bad sponsor
@@jonnyfinch1339 You explained now why hasnt he? ...kinda disappointing
@sirpugger oof now what? I feel like youtubers just have to make videos for a sponsorships. So videos tend to come out blend,no effort, and pointless.
@@jonnyfinch1339 So explain to me why Steam still has their marketplace. You own digital items for games and can actively trade them on the market to make money. How is that basically any different from a stupid NFT. It's a name of the product.
Botting and rwt is the only thing keeping runescape even semi alive. The fact that its Against the rules and the fact that they dont really ban people are both necessary. Making bots a pker dream is the absolute correct move. It's good for the health of the game
I agree. For the short time that RS3 was devoid of bots, the entire economy crashed, and microtransactions were added. You couldn't even buy a mithril platebody for 1m instantly, but you could buy cosmetics for real money.
@@bable6314 people really do like this game. They will spend hundreds of real dollars for gold. If jagex tried to sell gold i would be so disgusted i would quit. And this player base is in their 20s or 30s, they don't want to spend 20 hours catching gertrudes cats just so they can pk. Botting and "illegal rwt" is the only good thing about this game. This game would be basically unplayable if as a grown ass man i had to farm pest control for an 80 hour week to get my shitty void gear I'm gonna lose past 30 anyways. The best thing jagex can do is create and sell bots and gold while pretending to be a illegal 3rd party company so they can profit. Still say its against the rules, ban inexcusable offenders and bless their lucky stars that people still play this game in 2022, because the game def doesnt deserve it.
I'm a simple person. I see some one pushing a scam, I unsub and withdraw my support. Sucks that this is gonna be my last puggers vid. Oh well.
Found some angler fishing bots this weekend. All between combat levels 30-40 and 3-4 repeating numbers in their names.
I don't usually comment on you tube, but i feel like jumping onto an NFT based sponsor is never going to end well. There's a very strong reason why they have such a bad rep and its honestly a shame you've been driven to accept this sponsor because that negativity will only make your viewers unhappy or even angry with you. Love your work, but maybe this is worth reuploading and revoking the sponsor due to the backlash your future videos will likely receive - keep up the good work otherwise man
i wish i could actually sit through 60-80 combat to actually try this
I mean, I support getting that bread... but we really out here doing ads for NFT scams? :oof:
Ignore all the people bitching and moaning about an ad because they were told to hate NFTs. Thanks for the video.
Wow... Pugger clearly does not do his research on his sponsors. This will be the last SirPugger video I watch. Please research SandBox BEFORE using it.
Sucks for you to miss out on his good content. If you don't like the ad. SKIP IT.
I was entertained. Ate my food whilst viewing this video. Thanks!
Huh, weird that the video got taken down
Speaking from experience , I appreciate your effort in these bot busting videos and giving people useful information as to how to find some bot farms and tell the different between player or alt and a bot, but they’ll always be one step ahead on so many levels.
Great vid Sir Pugger, however, I’m commenting to echo the same concerns as everyone else. I refuse to consume any endorsement of NFTs, even this “free to play” NFT farming game. Kindly, I’ll be unsubscribing the next time I find your sponsorship agreements to be of dubious character. Thanks :)
BYE.
oh my god bruh nobody cares if you’re unsubscribing
@@fortnitelover3246 When it's 1000, 10000, or even 100000 SirPugger will start caring. I can almost certainly guarantee he lost subs from this video and will see a decline in subs gained from future ones. Even if he didn't lose subs but saw a decrease in average subs from this video he'll reconsider the sponsors he takes from now on. This isn't one person saying they're leaving. I've personally seen dozens of people saying they're leaving and that's the people who actually commented which is a tiny minority of his audience. It's one thing if someone is just commenting "I'm unsubbing" for no reason but it's another when it's a lot of people over the course of several days and for the same reasons. To be honest I'm thinking of doing the same myself.
@@fortnitelover3246 SirPugger will, when 10000 or more people unsub.
@@bable6314 I bet he’s happy that all those cry babies are unsubscribing over a little advertisement, if you were offered the money, you would take it too.
The bots run north in rev cave apart of a bigger operation, if u follow them in 5+ mill risk a fully maxed main with megatron ahk will kill you
I will still enjoy and will still support your content regardless, but I definitely don't agree with this choice of advertisement. Hope it was a huge amount man. I get that financial security takes priority in life, ESPECIALLY in this part of the entertainment industry.
And everyone else, remember that. This is him putting food on the table, just as you very likely would for the amount that company pays.
I like how Jagex says macros are bannable but there are bots everywhere
bots are also bannable
Pugger plugging cryptogames... Lol
You can keep saying that the sponsored game is free all you want, but you still spent a considerable amount of time explaining the real-life money-making aspect of it.
Every single venture involving NFTs that I've seen that needs or heavily incentivizes investing money into for a potential monetary gain ended up being a scam.
And this ain't gonna be different.
Your own viewers are gonna lose their money.
Enjoy the ~$10K Pugger.
Cry more. You know nothing about the game, neither do I mind you, but it's just a free to play game with NFT's in it. Why be a complete child over something like that? You don't care for SirPugger if you think him advertising for a free game like Sandbox is awful, but advertising for a game like Raid Shadow Legends is okay, when Raid is almost undoubtedly a more predatory game. Those Free to play phone games are all extremely predatory, and the only reason you're crying about that Sandbox game is because it's associated with NFTs. But at the end of the day you don't understand anything about any of what's going on, you just know you were told to be scared of NFTs. You and all these other cry babies need to chill.
This is not worse than a average mobile gaming ad
that corp clip make me remember one day i teled to corp to going calvarion cave there was like 10 - 15 guys with same gear - killing boss, teleing back in same tick and teleing out in same tick.. that was kinda odd..
An NFT ad bro, really?
How tone deaf are you to what's been going on in the gaming community.
Yup and deleting comments that talk about it
I didn't think there was anything more tacky than advertising Raid, but that Sandbox game sure beats it lol.
It still amazes me how much of a bot problem Runescape has, but it's great that people out there are able and willing to do something about it.
I saw a bot farm in the chaos druid tower by Ardougne. They are all wearing full addy w usually a rune scimmy and a team cape. Almost every world I hopped to had them.
Yeah. Theyre lil world crashers. Sad af
Will there be a follow up video? "Jagex ruin bot busting" now that you get a 12 second PJ timer after being hit by an NPC.
The second you mentioned it was decentralized I was instantly expecting it to be linked to NFT's.
No fuckin thanks, I'll skip the cryptoscam.
Sandbox is not a scam?
@@tomk4984 I never said sandbox WAS a scam, I just have seen enough shady practices of NFT's and Crypto currencies to have a low opinion on them and call them both scams.
I've seen plenty of artist friends have their art lifted and minted as NFT's without their knowledge or permission. Musicians having their content minted as NFT's, having Twitch streamers have their channel links minted as NFT's without their knowledge or permission.
I've seen pump and dump crypto's and I'm just waiting for the entire thing to burst.
Could NFT's be useful? Possibly, is it worth the ecological damage needed to work the farms to make the crypto to use as NFT's? And to deal with the scammers, the theives and their ilk? I dunno.
the run north code is a hold over from the old revs when the only real escape was north
