Could you recommend some settings/themes that aren't performance heavy? I have launchbox running on an older low end computer and it has trouble keeping up at times. I absolutely love launchbox and all the work you guys have been doing. Cheers!
So that's a little hard to say, to an extent there wont be too much that can happen. So it depends on your OS, Windows 10 is supposedly supposed to run great on older hardware, and can be made more performant. Lots of things to disable. Windows 7 and 8.1 can also be made more performant. Look up Windows specific services that are safe to disable, you can also use Windows Classic Themes as well. Make sure most of everything you don't need at the time are disabled as well (as far as programs go). Active scanning software like ram cleaners, av and firewalls can drag you down. Hard Drive isn't super important, but a dedicated Hard Drive for LaunchBox can help, especially if the only other alternative is a drive your OS is on. Anything that requires power, even though the HDD isn't the most important for LaunchBox (It's the CPU), that can help too. In the Big Box settings, you can disable transitions or turn down transitions to less intensive ones. If you are still caching your images, it will lag a bit until it's done, so if that's still running let that finish. You could also lower the quality of the images them selves in the settings as well. This will require your Big Box to re-cache as well. I'm not sure if different themes will change the performance, but these two are new and look... I want to say more simple, but that's not a knock against them, they still look fantastic. Compared to the City Hunter theme though, that has background videos etc, yea. Also try upgrading to the latest LaunchBox, there were some performance improvements as well. In LaunchBox go to Tools -> Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos. Any LaunchBox or James Baker labeled videos are the ones you generally see us use on the channel. The others are either from our community or EmuMovies.
Can you make a video on how to configure Amiga (especially the controlls, buttons etc) on launchbox? I want to buy the bigbox premium license but I am unable to play Amiga games. Game starts but I have no control on anything. I want to solve this issue if it's possible and then buy the bigbox. Can you please help?

You would have to set up the keys properly most likely. If the stick is working except for the back button, then open the controller settings in Big Box and change what it's mapped to.

Which theme did you try installing? This one? You made sure it was in the right location, and that you unzipped the contents to it's own folder? The Theme files can't be loose in themes folder. Otherwise, if it's in the right location, and you've done any steps a specific theme asks you to do (some have special steps a user needs to take for it to display correctly sometimes), then it should be there listed in your theme selector. All you need to do is select it from the options menu.

Well, when you're working through steps and needing to remember a ton of stuff, sometimes your mind gets cluttered. xD I've been doing VO / YT for 8 years now though, I couldn't let someone do my work for me. xD
So in LaunchBox, click on the platform you want to update on the left, click on a game, press Ctrl + A to highlight them all. From there, go to Tools -> Download Metadata and Media. When it asks, select the second option (in the middle), and leave all the check boxes checked. If EmuMovies is having server issues too, you may only download a few (I also assume you have EM Premium if you have some videos at all).

The theme videos play for me, but not the game videos.
