16:12 I believe it’s that you have to land on two wheels, hold it for a whole section of track between jumps, and then land the next jump successfully. At least that’s what I did and I was on a shorter section than you were. Didn’t even know landing on two wheels was possible until this year after years of playing as a kid. Actually harder than driving backwards.
The amount of crashes in this part (minus the last hundred crashes) was closer to my usual experience with this game, the finnicky turning collision messed me up a lot. Had zero idea about riding on two wheels, game was not kidding about having stunt in the name. Man i wish i knew about that secret track, looks fun to drive and the wireframe graphics are fire
I got the idea of downloading the game to also do this 26:28 while watching your gameplay but I'm glad that in the end you decided to do it yourself, you saved me time haha. Loved this gameplay! I would like to see you play Stunt Track Driver 2 in the future :P
I'm glad someone else had that idea. I will definitely play Stunt Track Driver 2 in the future! For now though, the next Hot Wheels game playthrough will be Hot Wheels: Mechanix. After I play through that, then I'll do another poll in my Community section for the next Hot Wheels game.
@HotmanGaming129 Do you by chance have a source for the snow level claim? I've seen it around, but I'm wondering if that's a general consensus, or if there's something a developer said about it. Now that I think about it, what if someone contacted one of the developers and asked about it?
@HotmanGaming129 I will be a little stubborn here and note that anyone can edit pages like those. I do think that theory makes sense, but I can't say I'm 100% sure of it.
@HotmanGaming129 I did see that, I'm just questioning the snow track idea. Whoever wrote the Fandom article mentioned the snow idea, whereas The Cutting Room Floor mentions a quarry / large outdoor area with no mention of snow. So it seems to all be theorizing, unless I'm unaware of some developer comment or something.
My only guess is that you had to drive on two wheels and then right yourself without crashing. Definitely the most obscure requirement compared to how simple the rest of them are. I wasn't expecting much from the track builder, but that's surprisingly decent! I can tell that the background is a really simple skybox, and I think I can see the boosters loading in, but I'm not sure if it's just chaining FMV clips together or what. It's probably that. If I recall, the secret track was an unfinished level (possibly snow themed?), hence all the wireframes and such. I think that one car's stunt was so bad because the engine is off to one side! No balance! You absolute madman, I thought the game was gonna crash!...clearly you need to do it again for the whole race and see if it loops around to the top again.
Yeah, it wasn't just "two-wheel for x amount of time", it was that, and also getting back on all 4 without crashing. Could've been a much shorter episode if I knew that lol. The track builder is very straightforward but they did what they could and they did it pretty well, honestly. At first I thought it was supposed to just be a weird vaporwave level, because I didn't know it was unfinished. But now, that makes sense. The Cutting Room Floor states "Its scope suggests that it was intended to be a large outdoor areas, such as a quarry", but it doesn't seem like it would make too much sense for it be a quarry right? Since, that is so unrelated to the rest of the tracks. An outdoor snowy area would kinda make sense I guess? To me though, it seemed like all of the game is taking place on one day with tracks set up all around a house, which is why I also think that it would be weird for it to be a snow track, because there's obviously no snow in the backyard and it's probably Spring or Summer. I wonder if the crashes would loop to the top... I think probably not, but you never know.
yeah the track builder is just chaining the fmv clips. stunt track driver 2's track builder fixes it by being an actual 3D enviroment, but that just makes it feel separate from the main game which is still an FMV affair like this game
As soon as you get a car, you can back out and re-attempt any track to unlock another car. For some reason, you can only get one car at a time during free mode (this applies to Stunt Track Driver 2 also) Steering Wheel= How quick a car is in the air for stunts Engine- Top Speed and Burning rubber - acceleration Example: Radio Flyer has the highest Stunt Stat Power Rocket has the highest Speed Stat & Way 2 Fast & Twin Mill has the Highest Acceleration If you end up playing Stunt Track Driver 2 the stats I told you here will carry over but cars can be unlocked via time trial mode instead having 4 cars locked to tournament mode Edit: The best cars are Shadow Jet & Twin Mill. And the more stunts you stunts you gain a speed boost 🫡
28:54 185. And yes I did do this as a kid but no where that many. 😂
23:19 the fireworks occur when you score a certain amount of stunt points. I think it’s 50.

this was one of those games I got as a kid but couldnt beat until much later because jesus christ this game was hard

A blast from the past. An era when laptops couldn't even keep a steady 30 FPS... well at least the ones I had. Gud times.
True

@@overdrive_srs mechanix was fun as a kid, but i found it easy even as a kid, and i was really bad at games in general
i counted 170 visible on screen and counted 15 extra from sounds so 185 crashes
Dayum
Did anyone else ever try the same experiment I did towards the end? I can't be the only one right? Thanks for watching this playthrough.

@HotmanGaming129 What's funny is I didn't even notice the missing number.

Thanks for the info, especially because it applies to the next game, which I plan on playing at some point.
