it seems like they won't since this has been like this for three to four years
Its not copyright. Its community guidelines. TH-cam cracks down so hard on any hot topic that people have to make up words. Sewerslide. Child corn. That kinda thing.
And they do it every few months and F up everyone's videos that were fine when uploaded, but now get struck.
You start seeing warnings because your video was titled "frieza black is a menace" and they think you're a racist.
I'm sure you've seen all the "Me, when a chocolate person..." memes.
This is why.
You have to spell white as wyte and you can't even *say* black now.
Welcome to the future of everything, you ambiguously gendered beings of cultural sensitivity.
You were so sensitive that culture can't exist.
I try to imagine what a youtube comment in 10 years will be. Its only emojis. Because words can hurt. But only thumbs up and smile emojis. No laughing ones. That means someone told a joke and humor is illegal. Because something is being laughed at. That ditch-digging tool thrown in a ditch didn't deserve your hate. Only istaphobes like irony.

It's definitely worth actually watching. The whole show is packed with jokes and they work even better with context.
Ah the amazing confusion on people while watching this and questioning if it was a parody and not official dub.

they missed so many jokes because they kept talking over them, it was beginning to get annoying but it was still a pretty funny video I guess.
I'm sure you know the story behind this show by now, but here are a few extra tidbits: ADV Films wasn't allowed to change any of the main characters' names nor the manner in which they killed ghosts. However, the main characters WERE changed to have certain stereotypes: Leo (boy with glasses) is a dorky Jewish kid, Momoko (girl with purple hair) is a "born-again" Christian who constantly makes religious remarks, Hajime (boy with black hair) in typical teenage boy fashion is constantly h*rny, Satsuki (girl with brown hair) the protagonist doesn't really have any distinct stereotypes that I know of, but her little brother Keiichiro is... well, mentally challenged 😗🎶 Last but not least, the cat (or rather an evil spirit trapped inside Satsuki's cat) is always malicious towards the kids and enjoys seeing them get into trouble. As far as dubs go, the writers really went above and beyond with this one, and we're all glad that they did 😉
Satsuki was made to be overly racist i believe 💀
1:03 The true story behind ghost stories dub is that back in Japan the series what's not doing so well so when they brought it into the America they say they could do basically whatever they want with it
That is a rumor that the director made up to get away with making this parody and tricking the voice actors into doing the series. Ghost Stories did well in Japan and has movies, manga, and live action films.

This show is honestly a peak into the mentality of the late 90s and early 2000s before everyone was so triggered every little thing. I appreciate progress but not going to lie, I miss the days when people could laugh at anything
