Happy to see Weltool getting the recognition it deserves. These lights are built incredibly well. They lean more towards tactical and outdoors, so I understand why UI and form factor might be a little off putting to some that need more EDC oriented light. Really enjoy my T17, T13G and T1 Pro Tac. Hopeful to get more in the future.
Glad to hear that they generally have a reputation for reliability. I just had a T12 Nine Dragons fail on me within 20 minutes of testing in the backyard. But I am going to chalk that up to being unlucky this time. Legendary firearms trainer Pat Rogers told me he had never seen an Aimpoint fail. I had one go down in a Pat MacNamara class with less than one hour on it. These things do happen. Hopefully, not at the wrong time.
One thing to note about Weltool lights is they tend to use beefy springs on both ends for their tactical lights which is more robust and reliable and can use batteries of varying lengths. Their weapon lights are also compatible with industry standard scout mounts, surefire tailcaps and remote switches. And they are beginning to utilize epoxy potting in some of their light heads for recoil resistance. Imo they are making their lights the right way for a pretty reasonable price. I believe they have some knowledgeable people helping them with r&d.
I have not been able to find a review with beam shot comparisons of Weltool and any other flashlight. I would very much like to see how a Weltool running say a SFT40 compares to another flashlight of similar form factor running the same LED. I look forward to seeing a comparison review.
T1 Pro Tac marking - there is TAC engraved in the groove for clip It’s almost perfect light, what I am missing is battery indicator , like T2 Tac has. Have this light and cannot eliminate fear of short of power as there is no any warning of low battery
T2 is fine as it is but the reality is that with a 26.5mm head diameter you could definitely get higher numbers of candela with other leds and drivers in it, as some manufacturers are already doing like Convoy with their 24.2mm head diameter lights like the S2,S6,S8,S2+ with the Osram w1 or w2 in them. What i did is that i chose both to increase brightness and also increase the candela by ordering a custom Weltool T2 with the SBT90.2 led in it and a customisable driver. And now i am planning to buy another T2 with the Osram w1 in it. T2 +w1 osram should reach 65-75.000 candela with the 26.5 head diameter. The same applies for the T1 pro. In order for the T1 pro to be able to accomodate ordinary AA bateries the driver in it isn't able to push enough lumens out of the lithium cells. For example at the same head diameter of 20mm exists the Lumintop fw1aa and that sucker can push 30.000 candela at around 700 lumens with the Osram w1 led in it. Since i already own the fw1aa i can't justify to buy the Weltool t1 pro tac even though it's a far superior tactical light. I would definitely choose to get a custom T1 pro with the w1 led and a proper driver in it instead. So generally weltool are on the right track, they offer quality lights, build to last, with great design and tactical features, but they could do better on the performance side of things by ditching the dual fuel compatibility with the cr123 and AA bateries. And since they like to release the same lights with different ui's then they should try and release the TAC versions with max performance and maybe with a customisable ui in them like some other lights they have. The only lights that i know from Weltool that have max performance are their LEP offerings like the W4 pro and their small 14500 W2 and these i would certainly buy straight from Weltool without doubt. But their reflector flashlights i couldn't justify buying them, no way, Convoy and other companies offer higher performance lights at a fraction of the price of the stock T2. And another bad thing weltool is doing is that most of their lights except for the T2 and a couple of others carry no striking bezel at all, while simultaneously they market themselves as a tactical flashlights company which to me it doesn't make any sense. Similarly sized to the stock T2 exists a far superior flashlight at half the price if you order it from Ali. The Nitecore mh12pro with the following features the Weltool T2 doesn't have: -65.000 candela, 500 meters of throw -21700 cell with 5300mah and thus better runtimes -Type c rechargeable -More capable as an edc with the side switch and 4 output modes as well a moonlight, strobe, sos, beacon -Greater lumen output at 3300 lumens vs the 1900 of the T2 which allow for a very big hotspot that also throws at 65.000 candela Generally though i always carry my custom T2 sbt90.2 with me and the Nitecore mh12pro stays at home cause the T2 with the sbt90.2 produces more lumens 4300 and creates a bigger hotspot thus is a better self defence tool cause it's easier to target an assailant's eyes from a close distance in a stressful situation. And the candela is very close to the mh12pro as well around 55-60.000.
Interesting. I got an edc27 from Nitecore for what I was looking for. This gets hot crazy quick on max but it is comfy in pocket. I have 3 issues with it. I may grab that 14500 one later.
Weltool is a great option for those looking for a moderate lumens very high candela flashlight for a good price. It’s not budget but not as expensive as mod lite and cloud defensive.
For throw I get what you are saying on the T1, have you compared to the new Lumintop AA 3.0 at 900lm or the Pokelit Gray AA at 1000lm? They are both definitely more floody, but would love to see a side-by-side.
Of course, I will have to see for myself if these Weltool are "the best" you can get. When it comes to these types of lights that are too big for the keychain category, but too small for the tactical EDC category. I have become a big fan of Rovyvon. Particularly The A28, A23, Aroura A2, S3, and the S3Ti. You can program them to turn on at any level you choose (Lo, Med, Hi, Turbo) with a double click. All are C-Type chargeable. 600 lumens in a light smaller than a tube of Chapstick - Or 1200 Lumens in a light about the size of a roll of Lifesavers. Do you have an affiliate link for Weltool?
I'll check it out... I usally use thrunite or nitecore but been looking around for a medium size light, but I like more flood for edc purposes.... Been looking at Nitecore EDC27, but that a bit over kill for my use... Anyways, thanks for your opinions and your time 😎✌️
I mean 100 yards is 90 meters, 300 is around 270 meters, and 1000 is 900 meters so it’s not that much of a difference you’ll most likely only notice with the higher ranged lights if your brain works in meters.
Strobe isn't as necessary as they make it seem. Especially since it effects the vision of the user as well. It does have a purpose however in stopping feral dogs.
@@maxlvledc I think Weerapat Kiatdumrong’s channel has some videos where he scares feral dogs without strobe. The intensity of 129-140k candela should be enough IMO.
In my experience, of which I have tons, LED lights with a super-exposed tail button have always accidentally activated when carried in (left or right) pockets of my tactical BDUs. Unfortunately, I am not exaggerating. Due to this design (flaw), I will only purchase tactical flashlights that incorporate a shroud around the tail switch.
They should make the UI half press (hold) - low. Full press (click) - high. Click and hold - strobe. Having to flash through high mode 4 times to get to low mode is really annoying imho.
Being a flashlight enthusiast you really should try the LH8 or LH1 heads with the malkoff MDC 18650 or 18350 hand held bodies. You will be absolutely impressed.

I consider 40K candela the minimum for self-defense. At that point, the light is more than annoying but actually uncomfortable to look at. More candela is better, but it's not linear. 80K is not twice as bright as 40K, rather it is a 4:1 doubling ratio (160K is twice 40K). Also, you want a candela to lumen ratio of 25 to 50, and more specifically 30 to 40. Here the T2 Pro Tac comes in at 46.5K candela at 25 to 1 so all good. But when we look at cost, you are paying "$116 or best offer" for that flashlight. With a 10% welcome bonus and a 10% TopCashBack referral, I paid less than $70 for the AceBeam Defender P16 with 58.5K candela at 32 to 1. List price is $85.
@@maxlvledcyou should check out the actual testing the owner of Werkz Holsters does on his channel. His light testing is excellent and he actually takes one for the team by acting as the guinea pig for the candela intensity testing. At this point he primary tests weapon lights, but the data is all pertinent.
The size of the hotspot is as important as the candela. There comes a point where too much candela (ie too narrow a beam) is counter-productive for self defence purposes. From what I understand the T2 Tac has a good balance of candela but with a sufficiently large hotspot
I don’t remember all the abbreviations but I know the LH8 and LH1 and the LEP versions are all compatable with the surefire 600DF bodies similar to cloud and modlite and they actually smoke them on stats. That’s the biggest draw to weltool right now.
Im a hunter and im looking for a flash light that has pretty good CRI but is bright and can last a few hours for blood tracking. Do you have any suggestions?
Because I have two pair of pants that have holes burned in the pockets from negligent discharges from flashlights with large protruding tail switches, I see a problem right away with the first two lights. And with smoke coming off the front of the big one I don't think I'd ever use it as an EDC light. That's why I over paid for the Cloud Defensive MCH that comes with the ND protector. Great review and lights otherwise.
What I’ve grown to hate about America is the fact that I have to order everything. I like to see, feel touch, compare items. And I hate you know who knowing what I’m buying. Great video
@mewithknives3481 the acebeam..it's not a tac flashlight. It has mode memory, meaning your going to have to hope you saved the right output for the specific occasion. It MUST always come in on turbo to be an actual tac light.
@@maxlvledcI agree with you on that. I even wonder why they called the tac AA. I was pointing out that it's a 1000 lumen and peak candela of 20k. if I had to name it I would call it the tweener AA
I keeping hoping someone would make a small light like the first one, but with one mode. Just ON. Some of us older folks would love to have a well built light that just has an on and off and that’s it. I don’t need all those other modes. I never use them. Too much hassle to use one but have tingling through several steps to turn it on where you want it. Why can’t one of these companies make one like that Pro Tach model in a good strong medium lumen. Just one mode. ON. That’s all I want. I would even pay they $50+ for a good one.
Attach a mainstream name brand, "EDC" or "Tactical" to any product and the price gets jacked up 4 to 10 times or more with everything. I have found the exact same bags, lights, backpacks, pry bars, etc., etc. for a fraction of the cost in off brands made with the same materials and same quality. Examples: I have a maxpedition water bottle bag that was $60 and I found the exact same bag for $15 in an off brand. Compared... Same materials, same stitching, same color. Side by side, no difference except for the maxpedition tag.... and the cheaper one came with a shoulder strap/belt strap and molle straps. Popular brand EDC pouch (5" x 7" roughly) $65... Off brand Same everything $10. A popular brand pry bar $200 and found the exact same one for $32. No difference other than the brand tagging on it and the packaging. Popular brand AA flashlight $68. Off brand $16. Same everything including the brightness, throw, modes, etc.. I can list quite a few more examples. I started selling off (and returning if possible) all my expensive branded stuff as I find the same thing or better for much less. These companies are extorting us all with their jacked up prices.
@@maxlvledc At least not yet. There may be one in a few months or so. Just have to wait and see if an off brand picks it up. There are some products that I have yet to find lower priced equivalents.

Does the T1 tac ever switch on automatically in a bag or something or probably can? My worry is with that concentrated beam, it can burn pretty quick if switched on in error without a lockout mode.
Love the quality. Hate Hate Hate the interface. 4 perfect clicks to get to low? WHY? Lo, mid, high, on all batteries. 2 to 4 lumins on low - 100 lumins on mid - full power on high. Click once high, click again mid, click again low. Where you turn the light off, it stays on that level. Not complicated most light manufacturers have figured this out. My t1 pro is the last Ill buy because of their interface.
I don't really like the t1 pro at all. Par output leaves out a turbo mode, which I could get by if it started on high instead of medium. Then there's/ he hardest to activate tailcap I've ever used. And finally the uncrunulated bezel and pocket clip. There are AA flashlights with lep that put out 60k candela with a SMALLER head.
The welt oil pro tac is a AA 14500 that is a thrower at 59 dollars why compare it to an Olight i3t 2 which is an AAA but with a 10440 it runs at 300 lumens and is not a dedicated thrower and is half the price
Without getting into the video too far, but for EDC it is worthless to me without a hat bill clip on it. May be great on the nightstand but that's as far as it would go with me. Rechargeable Microstream has yet to be beat. Streamlight just needs to get on board with USB-C charging.
No tail stand is a deal killer on any flashlight. Caution: don't use two 14500 batteries in the small light! Two AA's are fine. Compare with Convoy for budget options and Emisar for more power at similar cost.
I bought two flashlights based on positive reviews from this guy. Two worst lights I could’ve bought. 1. Weltool T1Pro Tac. It has the worst driver you can imagine. Zero regulation AND zero temperature step down. This thing gets so HOT you need to wear gloves to switch it off. 2. Sofirn SP10 Pro. Yes, it’s Anduril 2.0 flashlight but it’s about all good about it. The worst AA/145000 flashlight you can buy with worst tint. Wurkkos TS10 v2, Convoy T3 and Emisar D3AA are ENDLESSLY better. His knife reviews maybe useful for some but he has no idea about flashlights or his positive reviews are sponsored.
It's $58 I'll just get a Sofirn SC33 or Wurkkos at that price, sure it's not tiny but it'll have more uses much more practical. If they reduce the price to $25-$30 I might consider that, but $58 on a tiny 500LM EDC isn't good for me. But your review of it is pretty nice I like how you point out everything.
Sofirn and wurkkos pale in comparison to Weltool. The quality and characteristics are so different that they really shouldn't even be compared or discussed in the same conversation.
IMO Weltool BURIES Modlite, Arisaka, Surefire, Streamlight, etc. The Weltool LH8 (18650) W65C is phenomenal and the only light that compares to it is the Z-Bolt
Weltool is easily the best brand of lights for handhelds right now. Get the T8 Plus TAC and you'll never need another light for EDC. 2180 Lumens at 101,000 candela or low mode at 76 lumens for a runtime of 36 hours.
@@MrBlahblahblee Yea but having a Weltool light on your AR when ypu post pics on Reddit gets you less up votes than a Modlite.....so people buy inferior lights bc other people know those brands lol I have to check out that light....thanks for the tip
@@KevinWood44 To be completely fair, I don't think that Weltool lights are "potted" (but I could be wrong), so technically they are not rated for rifle recoil blasts. Don't even look at videos of it lol, just buy it and watch the power of the Sun blast from your fingertips lol. The only real dealbreaker that you might have in mind is that the tail cap doesn't allow the light to stand upright, but remember, the T8 Plus TAC is more a tactical/defensive EDC light with low mode capability, which is meant to be carried when you're out and about. Just make sure it's the actual TAC version which you can find on Killzone Flashlights if you look it up on google
@@KevinWood44 ugh I think my comment got deleted but anyways lol, to be completely fair, I don't think Weltools lights are "potted"/filled with impact-resistant resin for recoil blasts from a rifle, however I might be wrong. But yeah for EDC/handhelds, Weltool blows Modlite out of the water, bar-none.
I think Fenix and Nitecore out performs both of those lights. I have been using a Nitecore MH12S for a few years. It puts out up to 1800 lumins and has a strobe feature. It uses a 5000 MAH battery, ability to use different battery types and cost me 83 buck's. They have several other advanced models designed for law enforcement that run in the 120's.
replace that t2 stock battery with a top tier molicel and it'll ba a god tier light. also, screw you, lol :) I already own too many flashlight. but now I need to get these also.
It's not bright enough nor does it last long enough. In order to see well enough at night, a light needs to be 1,000 lumens at a minimum and maintain it for 7-10 hours. As long as a night will last.

Similarly sized to the stock T2 exists a far superior flashlight at half the price if you order it from Ali.
The Nitecore mh12pro with the following features the Weltool T2 doesn't have:
-65.000 candela, 500 meters of throw
-21700 cell with 5300mah and thus better runtimes

-More capable as an edc with the side switch and 4 output modes as well a moonlight, strobe, sos, beacon
-Greater lumen output at 3300 lumens vs the 1900 of the T2 which allow for a very big hotspot that also throws at 65.000 candela
Generally though i always carry my custom T2 sbt90.2 with me and the Nitecore mh12pro stays at home cause the T2 with the sbt90.2 produces more lumens 4300 and creates a bigger hotspot thus is a better self defence tool cause it's easier to target an assailant's eyes from a close distance in a stressful situation. His light testing is excellent and he actually takes one for the team by acting as the guinea pig for the candela intensity testing. At this point he primary tests weapon lights, but the data is all pertinent.
So is the lumen to candela ratio the candela ÷ lumens?
@@maxlvledc the baton turbo is 65k candela and has strobe iirc. A better pocket candidate maybe? No tactical switch but for 3x the dazzle factor....
The size of the hotspot is as important as the candela. There comes a point where too much candela (ie too narrow a beam) is counter-productive for self defence purposes. From what I understand the T2 Tac has a good balance of candela but with a sufficiently large hotspot
I have been tempted by Weltool but could never get behind there ui. They always look a lot tougher then other brands too.
Weltool is a great tool.
Nitecore EDC33 may rival this yes?
Luv my Nitecore MT1a and my p23i 💪
If you were to get a flashlight would you get one with an 18650 or 21700 ? Why ?
I don’t remember all the abbreviations but I know the LH8 and LH1 and the LEP versions are all compatable with the surefire 600DF bodies similar to cloud and modlite and they actually smoke them on stats. That’s the biggest draw to weltool right now.
Im a hunter and im looking for a flash light that has pretty good CRI but is bright and can last a few hours for blood tracking. Do you have any suggestions?
Weltool t1s extension tube is the best accessory a aa flashlight should have.
It was just dust that was floating in the air. I was curious about it too
I have a question, can i buy 3300 mAh rechareable battery and put it in the t1 pro tac? will it work?
What I’ve grown to hate about America is the fact that I have to order everything. I like to see, feel touch, compare items. And I hate you know who knowing what I’m buying.
Great video
Roger that 👍
Check out the acebeam tac AA it's a close comparison to the weltool t1 pro. I have the T2 as well. I've been on a grey flashlight kick lately.
UI on that is a disgrace
@@maxlvledc which one?
@mewithknives3481 the acebeam..it's not a tac flashlight. It has mode memory, meaning your going to have to hope you saved the right output for the specific occasion. It MUST always come in on turbo to be an actual tac light.
@@maxlvledcI agree with you on that. I even wonder why they called the tac AA. I was pointing out that it's a 1000 lumen and peak candela of 20k. if I had to name it I would call it the tweener AA
Any olight good deals? July 2nd
Examples:
I have a maxpedition water bottle bag that was $60 and I found the exact same bag for $15 in an off brand.
I review tons of flashlights...there is NO true budget $30 equivalent to the T1 Pro Tac
@@maxlvledc At least not yet. There may be one in a few months or so. Just have to wait and see if an off brand picks it up. There are some products that I have yet to find lower priced equivalents.
Is there a flashlight that can run IR, red, and white?
WONDER IF THESE ARE FULLY REGULATED LIKE FENIX) AND IF THE COATING IS HA2 OR HA3?
Not sure but...WHY ARE WE YELLING???
@@maxlvledc U CANT YELL TYPING, IT HAS NO AUDIO. SILLY THING TO SAY.THAT SAID,MEN DONT USE SIMPCASE
ODD THING TO FOCUS ON AND WORRY ABOUT
DIDNT ANSWER THE QUESTION EITHER /
Does the T1 tac ever switch on automatically in a bag or something or probably can? My worry is with that concentrated beam, it can burn pretty quick if switched on in error without a lockout mode.
Not yet..requires a very firm press..plus you can use mechanical lockout.
@@maxlvledc you mean untwist the rear cap a little to mechanically lock it? Sorry to be asking such noob questions.. just getting into flashlights.
@@Djinsoul exactly. And there is no such thing as a stupid question asked respectfully.
@@maxlvledc thank you! This video helped me make a purchase decision. Ordered it.
@@Djinsoul the T1 pro tac makes it into my top 5. The UI is ok...but the hardware is unbeatable
? is this still the best?
Nice 😁
I don't really like the t1 pro at all. Par output leaves out a turbo mode, which I could get by if it started on high instead of medium. Then there's/ he hardest to activate tailcap I've ever used. And finally the uncrunulated bezel and pocket clip.
There are AA flashlights with lep that put out 60k candela with a SMALLER head.
Which best to blind 1-3 attackers? weltool T1 Pro TAC versus wurkkoss fc 12?
That is my budget range...
Fc12 is 18650, and better to compare with T2 not T1...
Same led, almost same beam pattern except different UI....
The welt oil pro tac is a AA 14500 that is a thrower at 59 dollars why compare it to an Olight i3t 2 which is an AAA but with a 10440 it runs at 300 lumens and is not a dedicated thrower and is half the price
My Stiletto heats up pretty good/bad
Without getting into the video too far, but for EDC it is worthless to me without a hat bill clip on it. May be great on the nightstand but that's as far as it would go with me.
Rechargeable Microstream has yet to be beat. Streamlight just needs to get on board with USB-C charging.
I3T 2 is way better btw
No tail stand is a deal killer on any flashlight.
Caution: don't use two 14500 batteries in the small light! Two AA's are fine.
Compare with Convoy for budget options and Emisar for more power at similar cost.
Wait it takes 4 clicks of turbo to get to low mode?? What is even the point? I like my streamlight 1hl-aa that is just on and off.
It's primarily a defense light, the low is bonus
Focusing on LM is where you are messing up...LM isn't everything.
I strongly dislike my Wurkkos light, it lives in a drawer as a back up to my Thrunite T1.
Sofirn and wurkkos pale in comparison to Weltool. The quality and characteristics are so different that they really shouldn't even be compared or discussed in the same conversation.
They didn't write pro tac on that one because they wanted to make sure and sell their old stock😂😂😂
Not budget friendly? Surefire costs around 200-300 lol. I can't wait to get my T1
Yes yes
IMO Weltool BURIES Modlite, Arisaka, Surefire, Streamlight, etc.
The Weltool LH8 (18650) W65C is phenomenal and the only light that compares to it is the Z-Bolt
Weltool is easily the best brand of lights for handhelds right now. Get the T8 Plus TAC and you'll never need another light for EDC. 2180 Lumens at 101,000 candela or low mode at 76 lumens for a runtime of 36 hours.
@@MrBlahblahblee Yea but having a Weltool light on your AR when ypu post pics on Reddit gets you less up votes than a Modlite.....so people buy inferior lights bc other people know those brands lol
I have to check out that light....thanks for the tip
@@KevinWood44 To be completely fair, I don't think that Weltool lights are "potted" (but I could be wrong), so technically they are not rated for rifle recoil blasts. Modlites are "fULLy pOtTed aNd tEsteD tO wiThStaND sELeCt FiRe SCAR 17 ReCoiL". Lol but jokes aside, I promise you with 100% certainty that you will love the T8 Plus TAC (runs 21700 batteries) and youll never need another tactical EDC light again. I've bought my entire family each their own T8 Plus TAC and for my lady, it's just that good.
But yeah for EDC/handhelds, Weltool blows Modlite out of the water, bar-none.
nice but kinda expensive, wish i could afford
on eBay, I don’t touch eBay anymore. Hope gets somewhere else to buy it.
Ummm, the T2 Tac kicks the daylights out of that light on output... 100 less lumens but more than double the beam concentration
All of these make lovely video but where the stropping function?
It's $56 on their website. That has to be considered budget, no?
You can get good quality wurkkos or sofirn for a fraction of the price of these flashlights.
These are way more expensive? Then yeah, it better be good.
replace that t2 stock battery with a top tier molicel and it'll ba a god tier light.
also, screw you, lol :) I already own too many flashlight. but now I need to get these also.
If they nailed it then where is strobe for tactical entry and self defence?? Is tactical torch after all
Give me an Acebeam Tac AA and you can keep your Weltool T1 Pro Tac for you, right? A comparative would be nice but I know how nice works the first.
If only it could tail stand...
The holes make it not waterproof and the button on the back is extremely exposed, would never... buy something like that...
Take a look at the lumintop gt nano. Way smaller, lighter that can reach 300m easily.
And you can get a 10440 tube for it.
I have it, only runs for 8 seconds at full power. By 30 seconds it lost 20% of output
Flash lights by Weltool are too expensive
ill take my Thrunite catapult mini v2 over this anyday
$100.00 for a mini flashlight is ridiculous 🙄
I think they were like $55 with the new version.
It's not bright enough nor does it last long enough. In order to see well enough at night, a light needs to be 1,000 lumens at a minimum and maintain it for 7-10 hours. As long as a night will last.
I don’t think you understand candela.
so just by your words without any proof of what the words say....
Stop shilling for this brand so shamelessly. You are losing your credibility.
....I payed for them myself and don't even have an affiliate link. Wtf are you talking about?
who ta hell cares haw far will the light shine??? how many times really do you need to see what is going on 1 mile away?
