    Bead roll a ribbed pattern into the aluminum panels. That will stiffen the panel and add a nice visual touch at the same time

    Damn, that sucks! Try Rivnuts along the upper rim of the hull. The then press break a 1" flange on the new wave break and screw it inplace, that way you can remove the new wave break when needed. Bead rolling a pattern like someone else suggested would give added strength.

    I would recommend putting a slight bend on top of the deflectors. A bend will deflect the water out rather the over the engine compartment. At those speeds could possibly benefit turns. Just a thought

    • @countryracer69
      @countryracer69 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea a gourney lip at the top. Adds strength and will affect aero as well. A hem at the bottom would add serious strength too keeping any waviness out. But I know my break wouldn't fold .080 that tight for a full hem.

    How is such a thin piece of anything going to hold up with tremendous vibrations and wind/water load? It needs some sort of reinforcement built into the parts making it structural at least along the top edge. When it's all reworked, aluminum may be the choice material to use still needing some support and good fastener points. The CF panel breaking should not be seen as a problem....it's another fun challenge to be overcome.

  • @johnnym1320

    Could the problem with the steering be that you have the 2 rear pulleys for the steering at the same point, I see that the cables are making a triangle instead of being in line 90deg from the side of the hull, should each pulley be in line with each attachment point on the pump steer arm

    • @hunterj2253
      @hunterj2253 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steering is related to hull design, only thing the steering wheel does is pivot the nozzle, it’s the same concept with Jetski’s, some hulls like the seadoo T3R have a much easier time entering a turn at 70+mph, they just lay over and go, more aggressive hulls that rely on chines/ lifting strakes (much like theses jet boats) have much better turning grip & control, but require much more force to get the hull to lay over and bite in at higher speeds. There’s positives and negatives to all these designs.

    • @johnnym1320
      @johnnym1320 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hunterj2253 yes I understand that, what I'm saying is the geometry of the cables could be causing erratic movement of the nozzle. The cable at the back of the nozzle arm is pulling at a different angle than the front.
