I definitely agree with you in terms of Leo. He constantly admitted that he wanted to be loved for who he is, but maybe he didn't realize that talking about this desire a lot, would in a way sort of jeopardize his opportunity to really make a strong connection with someone and as a result, get engaged. But we need a part 2 please

Not to discredit Tim's story, which of course is very tragic, but to me it came across way too much, way too soon. Especially the "getting to give his parents another daughter" and the gifting of his sister's bracelet. To me that would feel like I would be living in the shadow of someone I never knew.....
I feel like it’s fine to discuss those kinds of things, especially with the premise of this show being around being able to connect deeply with another person without seeing how they look. those pod conversations are hours and hours long after all. the problem is how often he would bring it up, at some points it had almost felt like a lot of their intimacy was rooted in grief or trauma. then he would proceed to tell her their conversations felt too serious and he wasn’t sure if she was someone he could have fun with at first…. gee, I wonder why 🤦
I felt the same way.
Haven't watched it yet, but I fully expect him to be a flood lighter. We shall see if he's into doing the whole trauma bonding thing 👀🍿

Tim has little brother energy with women. Teasing and annoying them intentionally.
I never thought of it that way, but that's insightful. Maybe something about his trauma with his sisters make him lead and act that way.
He did say they were like a sitcom family where the sisters trapped him outside the house in underwear. I think that's how he was trained to show love through pranks and teasing.
Yeah and most women wouldn't want to marry or have sex with their little brothers. He needs to be a bit more intentional, think about what he's trying to get from his annoying af behavior

You can see, there is no uproar in the internet, no one reminds of it in every single interview, recap, review video. Even so the situation is exactly the same with previous season. Definitely second this. I actually really love them as a couple and the conversations their dynamic is producing. I think they’re both misunderstood and I would love to hear Steph’s perspective on them. She’s always really thoughtful and insightful.
Leo and Brittany’s first meeting was hard to watch. I was getting flashbacks to being in similar situations. Definitely a video on them. All the couples you mentioned tbh. I’m also really interested in a Marissa/ Ramses video- the military convo and birth control 😬. That and a Taylor and G video as one that we can all look up to. (Hopefully that one doesn’t bite me later) Thank you!!

@@StephAnya Yw!! Wanted to share my unsolicited opinion 😂 I looked at Stephen and Monica’s relationship as dom sub situation. Her bossiness worked because I think he’s into being in a sub role. I think it worked for her because she’s egocentric so naturally she’s in a dom role. I think Stephen had that inappropriate conversation because he either couldn’t fulfill his sexual fantasies or he completely lacks self control and has a sex issue. I’m totally assuming but just what I got from their relationship.

We definitely need a Leo video. His behavior with Hannah and Brittany was so aggressive. It was like he was trying to seal the deal selling a painting! So much pressure. It just wasn't a behavior that translated to human relationships.

Agreed! I thought Britney ended up being a very sympathetic person because she was upfront with everyone. As you said, no judgment for someone who is looking for security. She's interested in a fair deal with someone. While she is good looking, she also clearly puts work into her appearance and way of presenting herself. This is a "trophy wife" who understands that she needs to offer polish and class as well as phycial appeal. If both people know what they're getting into, it's... a business deal. Nothing inherently wrong with that.
I didn’t find anything wrong with Brittany wanting a more traditional marriage. My issues were:
1.) She clearly puts huge weight on appearance but comes on a show where the objective is to ignore appearance. It was very clear that she immediately regretted her engagement when she finally saw Leo.
2.) She objectified herself?? Like who calls themselves a trophy wife? Which brings me to my next point…
3.) For a 30 year old, she doesn’t seem like the brightest tool in the shed.
I do agree, though. Nothing wrong with seeking financial security. She knows what she wants and understands what is required on her end.
Glad you’re back for season 7. I don’t think Nick was making a joke mentioning Kelce or Cavill, but even if he was, it’s a bad idea. People are going to run with that image regardless. I hope you do videos on the Leo/Brittany/Nick/Hannah quadrangle; Monica/Stephen and Tim/Alex.

This season had the most time wasters and scammers. While realistic and indicative of the dating pool, it’s not as fun to watch. I tune in to see people fall in love, not get duped. They really need to do batter with casting.
At this point they're still filming for dramatic purposes only... No longer about love..

Thanks for the insights! I would love a more in depth video on Leo and Brittany. I’ve seen lots of people bashing Leo but I think overall he’s a decent and well intentioned person, but needs to do work on how his trauma has affected him. It makes sense that he would be triggered at the prospect of losing someone. He should have respected Hannah’s boundaries. Your further thoughts would be appreciated! Also, that was a good catch on Tim doing things to intentionally irritate his partner from that early story about the shirt! We definitely seek him continue to do that sort of thing - I wonder why?

I could be wrong about Stephen and Monica but my take is that he was feeling her initially but when he lost interest (for any reason, not blaming Monica), he self-sabotaged so she'd break it off with him. Maybe I'm projecting bc that's happened to me a few times as a "strong" woman who dated down. Those kinds of guys take the cowardly route but ultimately as long as they leave, good riddance! lol

When you are talking about Tim irritating the other partner, it reminded me of their reveal, when he was repeating over and over that he is a dog or something like this and Alex was saying stop it! And he was still doing it...and I didn't have a good feeling about it, I think he could possibly ruin the relationship with this behaviour.

**Dont read if u haven’t finished watching- Spoiler** I know it’s wrong to say but he gave me hack u up and stuff u in a box vibes. He is not in touch w all his deeper issues and doesn’t really think he has serious trauma. Alex wasn’t perfect either but he just cut her completely off. He was cold.. but had very high standards for how Alex shld behave. Hannah also didn’t enjoy Nick fully and it’s showed in her treatment of him. Wonder what she’s going to do if she ditches her “project” of a fiance? She seems like she’s not happy unless she is actively fixing and tearing ppl down. Even her mom and dad were trying to tell her she’s angsty.
Unpleasant for sure but Tim is more worrisome.

My main concern is that production deliberately puts women's safety in danger and profits off of women's humiliation. The show is about humiliation to women under the guise of "finding love" and playing off of a woman's vulnerabilities. It's absolutely horrid. The trauma that these women have to endure because of the failure to properly background check the males is so sickening.

It's very sad to watch the pretty extreme resentment that seems to unfold within the couples very quickly after the pods...it's as if after the contained 'love bubble' experience of the pods, the couples are faced with the extreme disappointment that love in fact does not exist in a bubble and they take it out on each other in rather cruel ways...Hannah and Nick & Tim and Alex are a prime example of this
