I watched S1 once in my own and again a couple years later with my boyfriend, and I always got great energy from these two but ESPECIALLY on my second watch. And by the time I finished rewatching I wholeheartedly believed they got a terrible edit. I feel like it’s easier to get swept up in the narratives the first time (especially with way it’s edited to emotionally affect people, i.e. with music etc.). But rewatching brought a lot of clarity.
We need to give these couples hella respect for blocking out so much negativity and committing to their love journey. Marriage is hard and it’s even harder in a spot light filtered with untruths. Congrats to you 4, stay love strong ❤
I really really really like Amber! She isn't afraid to say how she feels and she isn't trying to be fake in front of the cameras. It takes a lot of courage to stand up to people (especially those in power) and just be yourself. People always want to paint feisty women as villains. Well the truth always comes out! Glad she's happy and doing well!
If anyone wants to know how reality shows work, esp if they're gonna be a participant, they should watch the show Unreal. They show you all the manipulation techniques producers use on these participants, how they will push you to do or say what you don't want and then edit the whole thing to make you look stupid or romantic, nice.. it's basically storytelling with each participant "playing" a character. Lauren and Cameron were lucky they had a good edit. But I know also that they base these edits on each person temperament and exacerbate it if needed.

Reason Why i stopped watching shows like “MAFS”. One of the guys exposed the hell of the fabricated drama. It all went down to production intentionally mismatching the couples. I was done!

The way they portrayed amber was as she had a very unorganized life and was looking for someone to fixed her life.happy they are still together and thriving.

@@casiedomingos5197 yeah last season I started to question if I wanted to continue watching because I’m so sick of seeing men who are already in relationships or out cheating. The screening process clearly needs some work. A lot of the guys this season gave me red flags but I think we’re at least getting one successful relationship out of it so that’s good but I just wish they gave us more personality. And honestly a lot of the time when they say what they love about a person it feels so vague and not personal. I want specific examples of things they did/said that showed you that they were the one. I could name multiple examples for specific things that showcase why I love my husband so I want to see that from them. That would let us get a way better feel for who they are as people. Or even a “what’s one of your favorite things to do together”. So far this season I know that one couple loves to pray together, one couple is into education/science, two bicker a lot, and one girl likes how open her guy is to learning about new things but hates how much he talks. A lot of depth and info is missing about those relationships.
I think the authenticity of these two couples is why they were always my favorites (and why the first season is the only season I ever watched😂). I love so much to see people who truly love each other, and are willing to put in the work to make a relationship work. I'm praying they have many many more years to come, and I'm so excited for baby Barnett! 🤗❤️

I don't think people care about the whole Jessica situation anymore. Especially since she herself is married now, has had a child, and seems to be happily married with a man that is doing pretty well for himself. Plus it was years ago. I love the way Lauren carries herself. She is classy and super nice to all the guests, and Cameron compliments her. They are genuinely good people, with good energy. That is why people like them, and root for them. This was a great show.

I think the authenticity of these two couples is why they were always my favorites (and why the first season is the only season I ever watched😂). I love so much to see people who truly love each other, and are willing to put in the work to make a relationship work. I'm praying they have many many more years to come, and I'm so excited for baby Barnett! 🤗❤️

What a wonderful way to start the podcast. The “manufactured drama’’ created by the show’s editing was not fair to them. Amber and Barnett’s story was very real, quirky, serious and fun. I love them for being themselves. God bless the Hamiltons and the Barnetts.

Season 1 is hands down and will always always be the best season. I personally feel this cast was actually genuine and relatable.
I love how honest Amber and Barnett are about who they are❤. I'm glad she exposed the ways the producers manufacture the situation and how naive people tend to be going into the reality tv sphere. They are very grounded.

I can relate to that and I don’t understand how people hated on her lol!It was so obvious that she had no hidden agenda and when she was pissed I could always see why and was very much agreeing with her.

I don't think people care about the whole Jessica situation anymore. Especially since she herself is married now, has had a child, and seems to be happily married with a man that is doing pretty well for himself. Plus it was years ago.
I love the way Lauren carries herself. She is classy and super nice to all the guests, and Cameron compliments her. They are genuinely good people, with good energy. That is why people like them, and root for them. This was a great show.
The chemistry between Amber and Barrnet was so strong in the pods. You can see they were ment to be.
