❤❤❤ Awesome stuff !!! I turned 63 yesterday and I still feel like I’m a kid !!! Especially reliving my years of following you guys in racing !!!! I had the honor of finally meeting Jeremy at the 2024 KOH and I was that kid again !!!! Keep up the great stuff…. Long time fan originally from NH …… Bob in Arizona !!!!
I turn 51 tomorrow and I still love everything moto. I was lucky enough to graduate high school in 1991 and that was the hay day of all these badass guys. McGrath was my hero man. I never had the balls to do what they do, but I sure looked up to them. Seth Enslow too.
It was ridiculous then and in retrospect still is. You have the top Sx rider in the world who’s dominating everything- I think you get input from this rider. Honda is the boss for sure, but I’m baffled by that move to this day.
@@jamessharp9790 What a lot of people don't know, is that Jeremy raced the same (1993) bike for four years. They just updated the plastics and graphics to make it look like a current-year bike. That's why Honda changing the platform didn't work for him.
@@Rezqewr Ummm...if during this time; you rode, lived, or otherwise comprehensively investigated that bike you would completely understand just how bad the first gen aluminum frame sucked comparitively.
Such a cool interview, Ricky Johnson really knew the right way to phrase questions and keep the thing flowing nicely, badass dirtbiker and badass interviewer hope to see more from Ricky Johnson 🤙
Watching McGrath Kick-Ass and do his knacks knacks what's the coolest thing I've ever seen. The king is still cool as ever. Jett is great but he will never beat the Kings insane record !!!!
The two I idled when they were at Honda. Hard to believe it was so long ago but man I loved it. Glad their both still around and we're all aging well lol.
It's so interesting to hear what was really going on with the bikes during that era. As an outsider you had no idea. I remember when that first aluminum frame came out and it was being dubbed as good, but to hear behind the scenes that it was actually junk. I was a huge Jeremy fan and it's nice to get a little insight as to what was really going on in the background.
Great interview when 2 legends have so much knowledge. Respect to the guys who not only moulded the sport back in the day. But then share an interview like this. Thanks guys
coolest dudes!... our hero's... coolest set of interviews ever! totally love the backstories on everything we followed in the day, plus the humility they both show here. love it! thanks guys!
My Two favorite Racers together 😊 MC is so right about needing time to Let loose and have fun. Today the schedule is too long and going to retire athletes too fast!
I agree the sx series is 3 races to long but that's it, and it's not retiring riders to soon, there a bunch of 30 plus riders still Tomac, Anderson, Barcia, Stewart ...
@@Ranger_Dog311 It might help if they just went like 3 weeks then a week off, and be consistent with that and stop at 12 races. Especially with the season ending SMX finals now it is go all the time. This break we just had was great for most riders, not so great for all the fans. But the promoters are running the show, not the riders.
MC and RJ are both moto Goats love these two men they are just so immersed in the sport the passion and everything shines through even off the track. I was too young to see these 2 legends race but I have caught up over the years and they were on a different era. So thankful for these long podcasts thanks Don.
Hey RJ I really enjoyed your interview of MC. I missed part one, didn’t know until I started watching this video. I also injured my hip, at Red Bud on LaRocco’s Leap, I didn’t quite make it past the first jump.
Fantastic! RJ, a great interviewer as well. Super cool to hear the back story on a couple of my Moto idols from the days when it was my life. 👍👊👍. Much appreciated guys.
I remember racing amca in the uk during 1996 and those cr250s were amazing ( I was on a kx 250 at the time ) watching mgrath during that decade was incredible and I personally thought he deserved to win the title on the Suzuki because he rode brilliantly 👌
Holy FOCK the God of moto interviewing the king of supercross this one was badass 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻. But I'm not going to lie it would be cool as FOCK to hear more about Havasu parties and all the other parties. Growing up in the 909 I did see these guy's a lot and had some beers with them at Havasu in copper Canyon and Wednesday night speedway 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Over the years there have been several big bike changes that we can now look back at and question the wisdom of the change and wonder what might have been if the existing bike were just developed more rather than the complete overhaul. How good would the CR have been if they got good suspension as they did by 2000 and 2001? The motor was an all-timer but the fork and shock were awful. Also, what if Yamaha waited a few more years to do the backwards motor 450 and just fuel-injected the 2009 model and rode it as is for 2 or 3 more years.
Why make a new bike every year ? Because that's what Johnny Hopper says manufacturers should do even if the bike is a winner lol. He can't figure out why Yamaha didn't come out with an all new bike yet despite coming out with an all new bike in 2023 .
Such an awesome interview with two legends. Next should be RJ with Bob Hannah. RJ is the best before McGrath, let’s do the best before RJ, Bob Hannah. A Ricky Johnson / Bob Hannah interview would be epic.
you bring a new bike in whilst your is on top and winning, thats how they will sell them and make their $$. if you start to lose people would be less inclind to purchase, and if youretire, the next guy might not e as good = sales go down. just IMHO
I could sit back and watch this all day long with a bucket of popcorn. Pleasure to hear stories from the king. Class act.

I absolutely love how ticked McGrath still is with Honda changing up his bike.

Nice to hear that Jeremy is a good dude. Seems like he's very accepting of people and just wants everyone to have fun.

I keep saying something similar -- he's a great announcer.
Watching McGrath Kick-Ass and do his knacks knacks what's the coolest thing I've ever seen. The king is still cool as ever. Jett is great but he will never beat the Kings insane record !!!!
Dang Rick, your a natural at this. love your energy and been a fan since the early 80s
RJ you will never be the dork in the corner you are and always will be RICKY FUCKING JOHNSON 🙌🏻
These two were AWESOME in the announcers' booth two years ago at Pala 1...these are the guys.
I propose Weigandt and Carmichael be sent packing.
The two I idled when they were at Honda. Hard to believe it was so long ago but man I loved it. Glad their both still around and we're all aging well lol.
McGrath needs to bring a steel frame Honda to Mammoth 2025
Let's goo!!!! The King 👑
He might surprise some people with it.
Jeremy is the funniest, "but at the river, I look good'', LOL !! Great show you guys are both my heros, and Rossi too!
RJ back in the 80's I had to go to my neighbors because they had cable tv so I could watch highlights on MotoWorld.

Miss ya Mc! Never forget when old man Stanton screamed and yelled at us for tearing up his lawn by the lake next to they’re cornfield sx track
