Always a pleasure to surfing into Martin's cabin and see what's going on with birds, animals and the famous Cherry pie. Good to see that you are healthy and getting things done. Thanks for sharing.
I had to look up that wood stove. I've personally never saw one like you've got there. I've got 2 wood stoves, 1 is a Wonderwood, other is an old boxwood stove. Here's what I found on yours. The Jotul 606 wood stove was originally designed by architect/designer Blakstad-Munthe-Kaas in 1942 in Norway, but was only imported to the states for a few years in the mid-70s.
My mom’s name was Ethel. Dad and friends were quite amused when that song came out! We kids got a good laugh too! Thanks for inviting us into your life at the cabin. Enjoy the peace & quiet!
Martin your videos are wonderful for the heart and soul. Where is Jim and Kevin and I cant forget "Old Man David and Walleye Don"? I love the Ethel comment LOL. You, Vonnie and the crew are WONDERFUL! Always get a kick out of the Male Spruce Grouse struttin his stuff. LOL
I Had my fingers crossed for a new upload today. Seeing the notification from your channel definitely brought a smile to my face. The new chemo is not as bad as I thought it would be. However. This only the first week. God bless to you and Vonnie. 👍
Back at the cabin again. Enjoyed the ride getting to the cabin. Hope you have a great time there. I am nice and warm here in Mississippi enjoying my second cup of coffee. Will be 32 degrees here tonight after several nice 70 degree days. Maybe some rain also which we really do not need as we have gotten lots of rain here . Ground is already soaked. We are not in control so we take what we get. God bless you and Vonnie. From deep southeast Mississippi.
Thanks for another visit to the cabin Martin I love the cabin and area its in wish i had one to go escape this crazy world . and just relax . Love how how you interact with your bird friends how wonderful. even the grose enjoy you .
Favorite trip of the year. Thank you Marty. Just a suggestion: The next time you're up there and rained or snowed in the cabin all day, it might be a good idea to shoot a video of all of your supplies/food inside your storage bins so new viewers can see your set up in that fabulous little cabin. Thank you as always.
I Enjoy your video's Martin - especially your relationship with the wild life. The snugginess of your nice hide-a-way in the bush, how delightful the environment looks in winter time. Thank you 4 sharing and travel safely. cheers
My constant entertainment. I could actually rent out the new guest cabin to birders that would want to come in to see them. They are a ghost to many birders and they only hear tales of them.

@@TheNorthwoodsman1Came across your reply. Was nice to watch video #1 again. I have most if not all saved. Try shaking that striker a bit. The butane needs to be wet where the spark is. Also seriously thinking about coming up for the guest cabin build in October.
Crazy how those Jays know exactly when you get there. It's still fairly snow free up north but I have a feeling winter is going to make one or two more pushes to punish us up there. I'm heading up early this next week might take advantage of bucking up some firewood with little snow on the ground and no bugs. I know if I wait till May I'll be dinner for those black flies and mosquitoes. Almost forgot to tell you I found an interesting channel on here called The Woodland Escape. It is more of a 1700-1800s history type channel of early pioneers thought it might be something of interest to you.
I seen the wooden seat on the wall of the cabin- something else that works really well is to cut out a pattern of the seat out of the thin board insulation that goes on under vinyl siding- it worked out great for us anyway 👍
"Don't look Ethel - too late"! Martin that's funny :) I just played that Streak song last night at the pub. I had to laugh at that, too! I was at the University of Arizona in 1974 and there was a whole lotta streakin' goin' on.
Martin you need a long handle broom to safely remove the snow from the solar panels.
I have a mud flap on a pole but it will not clean off ice so climb I must. That climb is safe as all the deer stands I get up into each fall.
Thank you!!

600 miles and a 10 hour drive plus the final mile hike.
