Also dropping to lower ledges and grabbing with fingertips would be the most unrealistic I would think
I'm sure that all of Nathan's movement when climbing is motion captured so that doesn't surprise me. That said though it was most likely MoCaped by an athlete in their prime, as apposed to Nathan who's pushing 50 in this game (I think)

Who told you it is a good game? It is a boring repetitive piece of trash. I literally had to force myself to beat it. Quite on par with the Last of Us - just as dull and pretentious. No wonder, both are Naughty Dog games.
I could not care less about graphics (which suck compared to RDR2, for that matter) if the game offers no gameplay: climb there, jump there, hold someone's foot to climb somewhere - every fucking minute.
The characters are weak, except Nathan is a pussywhipped child in a man's skin, which is not fun either.

Finally! A reaction to a game that shows something realistic and is done right. I get winded by all the "doctors watch heads explode" videos and genuinely wanted to see how close to the real thing Uncharted can be. Sure you still have to be Zeus to be as physically fit and durable as Nathan Drake but it's nice to know some of these things are still possible to do.

Thank you, finally someone else who thinks the same way. I hate it when people have videos like “real swordsmen reacts to video game weapons” and then the video games they react to are like Final Fantasy weapons or some shit, or “real doctors react to video game injuries” and it’s just the most ridiculous Mortal Kombat fatalities. For these kinds of videos to be fun and interesting, the things they’re reacting to needs to be plausible in real life. Just enough of a stretch for the reactors to have to think and talk about it, but enough to be at least semi-realistic. It’s not fun at all if the reaction is just going to be “Oh this would never happen in real life” throughout the whole video.

Welcome to Nathan's life
One of my favorite games of all time. Truly a masterpiece. The storyline, the characters, the sceneries. I literally was sad and depressed when I finished this game. Playing all 4 titles, naughty dog is truly one of the best in the business. It’s sucks there will be no more Nathan drake. I’ll definitely miss him.

Unity has realistic parkour movement and the only reason it looks floaty is because the way Arno positions his momentum in order to height n distance. A lot of the movements in the game Arno is doing a T pose air glide identical to Spider man when he's in motion.

AC3 & 4 had some realistic but they were some moves that were just completely impractical like Connor's barrel role he literally roles head 1st rather than his dominant shoulder.

same. I always thought there's no way a human can have that much upper body strength to pull off shits nathan did
I think it's all fairly reasonable. I can probably do most of the moves Nate can do in 4, at least, though not with as much agility, and not repeatedly. I remember hearing in a behind the scenes video, or something, about how they changed the way he grips ledges from Uncharted 3 to Uncharted 4, to make it better for a human hand, so they definitely get input from people who have experience climbing.

It's all motion captured lol. So someone is mostly doing it that they can base motion capture on it.

@@FAH_26 Ofcourse you need to animation cancel and rush for speed run. Still though, i have done climbing and seeing how nathan positions his entire body to reach a handhold is incredibly realistic. And if he cant reach it, his entire body will tremble. That detail blew my mind.
As someone who has done motion capture for Uncharted 3, I can tell you they only stepped up the parkour mocap for 4. Almost everything you see is legit possible.

Another cool thing that wasnt shown in the video: if nathan is trying to grab a handhold by stretching his arm but he just cant reach it, he will start to tremble. Uncharted 4 has by far the best, most detailed and realistic climbing animations in gaming. Assassins creed may have a more engaging parkour, but the animations are just not up to Uncharted 4 level.

Would love to see Parkour Athletes and Freerunners react. Especially since Jesse La Flair did the mocap for Untiy which although had the best/accurate parkour moves, has the most ridiculous jumps. 😂
@@chilliam00 Yes, me too because I'm a big fan of Assassin Creed franchise. I think AC Unity's parkour is the most fun as well even though I haven't tried Origin and Oddysey. Except, when it comes to jumps and leaps. You gotta be a super enhanced-human to be able to do that. Or.. breaking the law of physics and gravity.
@Mohamed Redha The parkour techniques, yes. But the way Arno can eject so far between buildings and leap upwards on vertical walls is not quite realistic. It's still fun, though.
