I saw Sound of Freedom in July. On the way home from the movie theater I told my family " Mark my words, all hell is going to let loose on Tim Ballard." When a good individual fights against evil, evil will do everything it can to destroy him. I hope that the e-mail "from the church" is a fake. And I hope that The Church will come out in support of Tim and the good that he is doing. I'll be very disappointed if they don't.
I'm with you, brother/sister! I just keep hearing the savior's words: "by their fruits ye shall know them." That movie has the power to save millions of children from abuse!
Movies are propaganda my friend. They rarely reflect the truth. I saw the underground railroad documentary years ago and had the exact opposite reaction. I told my wife "this guy is trying to be a white savior, he has a God complex, he's doing illegal shit going into these countries. Any reputable law enforcement would be offended at his conduct. Only corrupt ones will play his game. He is a fraudster and he will be exposed. Look at his eyes and look at how much he talks about himself. Good guys don't do that. CIA guys NEVER mention they worked for the organization. It's illegal! Tim lied about that."
Project Me Protect is now big in South America which teaches children what is right and wrong concerning the safety of their bodies. It is spreading like wildfire and teaches children how to stay safe from traffickers and grooming.
I agree Skyleen, and Vice news is a group that is very hostile towards the LDS church as well as the film Sound Of Freedom,as Greg pointed out in this video and I think a lot of us most definitely agree on that for sure. And there are many so called Christian bloggers that have come out against Tim Ballard since the movie made its debut(as you have correctly alluded to) a few months ago. Something is not adding up here, and I think there could be a possibility of a political hit job by Vice to turn the church against Tim. And if that is the case, then Vice needs to apologize for what they have done and be held accountable. He was invited to an event at Davis High school around July 4th of 2020(my mom had earned a community service award, and Tim was a speaker who spoke that day about our country's history and what freedom means/is,he knows his stuff I feel like). So it seems that there are more questions here than answers.
Greg, You know that the church works through processes. They are extremely careful who they speak with and this is something that would be addressed with his Local leaders first, not in an article like this. We know that many, many deceitful people are out there and can make many things appear as if they are true. Tim Ballard is a hero, this does not fit his character. VICE, is a garbage publication, you showed it on this video.
The editor of Deseret News asked for a statement on the what was happening and they received the exact same statement from the church. It is a real statement.
Vice is garbage. And we don't know what his local leadership has said to him. You are taking his word on it, even as he keeps repeating "he's like a grandfather to me!! He's like my grandfather!" Which is... he's betraying his own defensive habits, to linking himself to Ballard, even while being accused of doing that.
If the leaders of the church truly feel this way. Then the people that had this put out have been compromised. And this will make the whole church look really bad. I hope this isn’t the case. I was taught that Christ was all about love and forgiveness. Not reputation and appearance.
Thanks Greg. Something is very wrong here. The statement is not from the 1st presidency or Elder Ballard. It will be interesting to know "who" wrote this and submitted it.
Voting for him on this alone is why all the hero worshipers scare me. This isn’t the only time he’s been denounced by corporations he’s name dropped without permission or collaboration. Do some research.
@@beckyhuntersteenblik512people say he named dropped and yet there is zero evidence of this. When did he do it? What did he say? If he did name drop but nobody heard/saw it why does it matter?
Good insight, Greg into the undercover operations that maybe used to damage Tim! Imagine all the DEA, FBI members of the church who have had to go undercover - having these details being used against them!!! Wowza this is a political hit job in my opinion. Hopefully the church does some self correction on this and doesn’t let Romney shills run the church press office anymore 😢😢😢
It is political, it breaks SEVERAL Church protocols that would get the employee sending it out as fired or put on probation at least, and it comes at a timing that is sus
Because of pride this happened. Pride makes people blind. Even in the church. If you didn't have pride and had the spirit it could have been handled differently. Rebukes should happen privately also. Not publicly. Pride made people act hot headed.
Vice news is very anti church. Greg when has the church ever come out and made a statement this unusual? I agree we need to see an official statement on the church website addressing this issue from church leadership. Also there are alot of members that are very concerned about this, me being one of them and feeling the spirit discernment telling us something is not right with this issue. Everything from the wording in this email and the way it was presented makes no sense.
This has happened before with employees issuing statements for the leaders when it was later not shown to be true. For example, last year there was one where the letterhead wasn't stamped right or didn't have the right setup or something on the letterhead. And then a corrected statement came later. Forgot which subject it was about tho. @@stephaniewilliamson4611
I agree with you 100%. This is not how the church would have worded anything. It’s smarmy and disparages Bro Ballard which is not in keeping with Pres Nelson’s council to be peacemakers. I belong to a website/chat called LDS AVOW and his mother in law finally broke his silence and commented on it. We didn’t even know there was a relation there. The Church reached out to their family and in keeping with how they operate, they don’t respond to these things via media, especially media outlets that hate them. I was happy to hear they made contact with them recently asking them to keep the faith. Funny how this bubbled up as soon as mittens decided he wasn’t running and Tim has expressed interest in doing so.
In my opinion, this is a hit job. A lot of money has changed hands in the evil treatment of so MANY children. The open borders fuels the fire. Can Tim expose these evil ppl if he was elected as a Senator for Utah. I stand with Tim Ballard. He is a good man doing a dangerous job.
Yes, I agree. The ST is the biggest money making business out there. There are those involved who don’t want to loose the money from that evil endeavor. Not to mention they don’t want to be exposed. So who do they hit the hardest? Tim Ballard.
I love how Greg thinks. He outlines a probable explanation but always keeps his options open to adjust as data is made available. It's a pattern of honesty. I trust him.
Yes, I agree. Unlike The Last Dispensation and Watcher Palmer. Those guys are convinced their outlandish conspiracy theories are correct. And if you challenge them in the comments, like I did, you'll get some backlash from them and their followers.
I really like Troy and Scott! I’ve only ever had good feedback from both of them. CWIC is pragmatic and gives facts and things to consider. This is the best statement made on Tim Ballard yet! Good job!!!
I have told my family , let’s wait for Bro. Greg a trusted voice to tell Us what he knows . Sadly some of my anti church family members are listening to fake sources and spreading misinformation . Some of Us are waiting for a trusted voice.
I appreciate Greg's intellectually honest approach. I work in data professionally and I have a lot of respect for people who strive to analyze facts as objectively as possible, minus the emotion. You do this well, Greg. Thank you.
Tim Ballard is an amazing man, and his crew also. All churches should stand with Tim Ballard and support him and condemn these evil acts against children and be prepared to stand up for righteousness.
@@laurenmay2098seriously? A sacrificial lamb….because of the church leaders? THEY are throwing HIM under the bus?! What’s wrong with everyone? This is why Cwic media is the best lds culture TH-cam channel. Greg, you are awesome! Thank you for taking a step back and not immediately jumping to conclusions on either side. I was hoping you would make a video about this.
I totally agree! It is inconceivable to me, that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints would use a despicable disgusting rag like VICE to blindside and disparage a member. There are proper channels and procedures used for discipline when necessary and as far as I know VICE is not part of them.
I question Doug Anderson, have we confirmed he is still employed at the church, or was this his final act? The backlash with this will be on going. At best, the way this was released and the wording of the “statement” is a huge error. I happy to be in disbelief until the church puts out a real official statement.
Watching professors at BYU destroy the souls of the youth of the church and get NO response from the brethren and then a good decent man like Tim be burned at the stake like this is disheartening to say the least.
The scholars at BYU are destroying more testimonies than antis ever dreamed of. Everybody loves and adores Tyler for example yet he teaches that he knows more about church history and the Book of Mormon than Joseph Smith. His positions make Joseph Smith to be a liar and a scoundrel, Scribes and Pharasees is all I see there.
I absolutely agree with you. I have been so disgusted with BYU because of what I’ve heard about some of the professors. And I am deeply disgusted that the church has come in any way, shape or form against Tim. I have known him from the start before he ever started OUR and he is absolutely very close to being a saint!!! The church should be ashamed of itself, Although I haven’t heard exactly what they have said, lately it seems they are too much of the world rather than just in it.
And even if the Church knows something we don’t, I have never in my 43 years of membership have I ever seen the Church rebuke someone publicly!! Doesn’t it go through his Bishop, or Stake President first?? Never have I seen anything like this since my membership 43 years ago!!
This is earth shaking material, that unfortunately, the church will not speak of again. Once they say their piece, that's it. We deserve to know more. We already are on a precipice as a church. People say we could never be led astray, but....
The church doesn’t do it very often which should say something. It happens when it’s needed. It’s just that Tim has made himself everyone’s hero so you noticed it.
It is shenanigans like this that keep good guys from running in politics. If we don’t start hold the media responsible for their actions we will never have a free society. Tim will likely have my vote if he desires to run. He is a hero. Something is not right here. The church needs to say something.
Last time the church was political we were forced out of Missouri the leaders are trying to not be political as long as possible however their will be a day as joeseph smith prophesied fence sitters will not exist and the church shall make it clear which master you follow
Tim Ballard isn't a hero. Get real. I have two sons in the military. They're heros. Go to San Diego USMC, US Naval academy or any military installation. There you'll find people doing selfless things. Ballard never worked for the CIA. He lied about that. He's also left a wake of destruction behind him on his "rescue missions". The guy is a fraud. Utah Mormon people are so gullible. I'm one and I see this idiocy every day.
church leaders did...and they suck...they keep supporting evil groups and smashing good members...did ya miss the last few years? tons of woke lgbt support but smashing traditional upholding members..... we cannot count on leaders to do the right thing...john foretold this time clearly with church leaders
I've been a supporter of OUR for 8 years and I've NEVER heard Tim or OUR use the name of Elder Ballard! None of this surprises me. Evil will come out of the wood work to attack the good. This will get worse as time goes on.
Agreed. I've been following Tim Ballard for a long time and he's only extremely rarely mentioned, and vaguely, the church. And never have I heard him mention Elder Ballard at all.
I too have supported them and followed their good work. And I've never heard him mention Elder Ballard. I don't know where all this is coming from. But I will be paying close attention to General Conference next weekend.

Very well done Greg! Thanks for talking about how accusations don't make a person guilty. I'm so tired of people condemning Tim just because he's being accused of stuff.
HOW CAN you all just believe, when all the facts are not out as yet??????? Have you actually had time to PRAY and get any comfirmation from, "THE HOLY GHOST".......you know that, "HEAR HIM', counsel?
August 29th President Ballard went to visit Tim’s daughter in the hospital. That is only a few weeks ago. They must of been friends then. The church needs to clarify what is going on.
Unfortunately, the church isn't in the business of explaining itself. That's something that bothers me deeply, as a member. The continuing secrecy, one topic over another.
One thing that really bothers me is that if this statement was authorized by the Church, Tim Ballard was given no warning of it, no one called him to get his side of the story. He wakes up and finds he has been denounced by his church. This statement has devastated Tim Ballard and his family as he states in the video. He was completely blindsided by this. Even when a person is excommunicated in the Church, the person is called in and allowed to defend themselves. Tim is being crucified in the media because of this statement and no one talked to him, questioned him or even gave him a heads up that this was coming. Is this the way the Church is going to handle future issues? Could Greg Madsen be next if he says or does something that the Church finds it doesn't like, or for that matter any other public figure? If Tim did something wrong, then yes it should be addressed. But, this method of issuing a statement to the media about an individual member is beyond comprehension and the ethical issues of handling this matter in this way is very concerning. If someone would have told me the Church would handle an issue in this way, I never would have believed it. I would have said the Church would NEVER do something like that because that is not the way it would treat a child of God. Has the Church ever issued a public statement about an individual member, high profile or not, before this? And can anyone imagine what his wife, who has been a loyal member of the Church for decades, is going through? After today's sexual allegations, she is probably feeling that either the Church she loves has wrongfully condemned her husband or her husband is a fraud and an adulterer. This whole thing stinks.
The Church was playing with fire when it started relying on social media to manage public affairs. I would trust Greg, Tim or any other faithful media personality b4 I'd trust the Church bureaucracy.
As a member of the Church, this REALLY troubles me. Even if Tim has done something wrong. The Church publishing an email without first giving Tim a chance to meet with his Bishop. Poor form by the Church.
If Tim is trying to claim endorsement or personal relations with apostles to raise money they are 100% correct in publicly condemning him so he cannot trick other people.
That has gone on for decades: ZCMI, the Mconkie law firm, Desert Book, Deseret News, BYU, KSL ... . When I buy sacred clothing now, the clerk has a Deseret Book name tag!
they wont...they are smashing tim on purpose..no one is safe now... we have "false(as in confused and deceived) prophets as john foretold pushing the new world order liberal anti christ into full power ....they no longer even support real marraige anymore and celebrate sodom and gamorrah policies ....our leaders are compramized
Thank you for context! You are the only one trustworthy, in my opinion. We should all be praying for Tim, his family, and the thousands affected by the confusion of the way things are done on social media. What I have read, this is a political agenga against Tim Ballard because of the exposure he has made of an industry that would rather stay in the dark. Not to mention that he has had a relationship with former President Trump.
I'm coming back to this after watching you on Ward Radio. I was thinking you were really wrong about the statement coming from the church. But after hearing the discussion on Ward Radio, I realized I was wrong and wanted to give you a like and a positive comment here.
Tim Ballard wrote "The Lincoln Hypothesis," one of the greatest books I've ever read. Christ said to discern whether something is good or evil, (or someone,) He said to see them like a tree, whether the fruits borne are bad (evil) or good. Makes sense.
But have y'all read "The Pilgrim Hypothesis"? Truly a gem for American History! There is a certain academic wing in the church that loathe at his books, too. I don't understand why.
Public excommunications cause me great concern. Why didn't they start with Harry Reid who did more to increase abortions than the Dr's performing them?
Elder Ballard called Henry Reid in his funeral, " a man of God" while the truth was that Henry Reid had help Obama to push abortion agenda! If Henry Reid was a man of God according to Elder Ballard, Tim Ballard has to be the hero who actually saved many God's children!
@@beckyhuntersteenblik512 I can connect the dots quite easily. If you don't think it's relevant, don't comment. It appears as though you are uncomfortable with infanticide being a moral issue upon which churches should take a stand. I can actually feel the cognitive dissonance.
Who was publicly excommunicated? Nobody. Stop the hero worship. Reminds me when people rushed to defend Joe Paterno after the Jerry Sandusky stuff happened. Took about 48 hours for those people to look foolish. Maybe he is did something wrong. Maybe he didn't. But a statement like this isn't done out of vindictiveness.
They need to give up the struggle. They are good people, and deserve better than all the sensation and pain this organizatioh causes. The Church could have taken the matter up with Tim privately. They could have just said he was doing a fine thing, but we have our differences. But they say instead he has betrayed a friendship, and his behaviour is morally unnaceptable. How horrible!
This is very simple. For those that are struggling or getting worried about this. It doesn't change that the gospel is true. Think very clearly. We were warned about this for years. We have been immunized against this. Its iN our history. When the Kirtland Bank failed, members did stupid stuff. The church got stronger after people got rid of being sick from that event. This is a tare event. There were other tare events. The US people and government have always looked for a chance to attack us. Why didn't they before? Because we were repentant and didn't have pride. But we do now. So we're experiencing the trouble all over again. Remember... there are 5 wise virgins, and there are 5 foolish virgins. It is a sign of love that the foolish virgins are being given time to right themselves and repent. And they are allowed to be in the church for a time. This kind of event is why the story is given to us. When we see events that happen in the church that SHOULDN"T happen. its because the wheat and the tares haven't been sorted out yet. But they will. And we're almost out of time. Its mercy to give them another chance. To escape their fate and anguish. For the anguish the unrepentant experience and will experience even more after, pity them rather than be angry.
@@Themanyfacesofego that’s why it’s so suspicious. It’s out of character for how the Church handles these matters. They just wouldn’t handle a conflict between an apostle and a member of the church this way, even if it’s a very public member!!
Read the documents people. Stop believing Tim is a good guy. You remind me of the single ward who was down at the courthouse defending Ted Bundy. Sometimes we put our faith in the wrong person. Read the facts, Own up to it and you'll see why the church got in front of this mess
I definitely feel like Tim is sincere! I think it’s interesting how so much negativity is coming out about him when he just recently said he was thinking about running for the senate.
They don’t want it him to run for mitt Romney seat as senator. But it would be better to call him and tell at his face. Do not run, we will not support you. By the way, when Romney ran for president, the church wasn’t evolved at all. He spoke about his faith, but he wasn’t to crazy about exposing, because that is personal. I like Romney a lot. Since he was Massachusetts governor.
I used to like Mitt Romney, even voted for him for a president. I lost my respect for him later and who knows where his money is invested in......so a crusade against Tim ...ahah.
The pedos in high places are afraid of Tim. And even more afraid of his popularity and potential rise into politics. They are doing this to sink him. I'm a pretty good judge of countenance and body language, and I get truth vibes from Tim. It is very easy nowadays to make lies appear true. And when you put lots of money behind those efforts, it becomes quite effective.
From what I remember of Tim Ballard mentioned Elder Ballard on Instagram was a picture of him with Elder Ballard, and it was about his tour around historical sites around the founding and the Pilgrims. It had nothing to do with raising money for any cause. It was a commemorative post. Unless there is other evidence of him using Elder Ballard for money, I don't know. But what I do know from following Tim Ballard for a few years is that he has not done anything to bring dishonor to the church.
Tim Ballard has brought more honor to OUR Church than the Church media and PR Departments have in their entire history. Those "Mormon Ads" done by Bonneville were so 🤮.
@beckyhuntersteenblik512 It's not about hero worship but about the truth. If there is clear evidence that he is guilty, then he is guilty. But there are many things that don't add up. Also, how is it extreme to save children from slavery? It is real and an evil that persists today.
@@republicsaver3290 the truth is important, but the *whole* truth is more important. The Church just called a brother "immoral" in the media without backing it up. They say he exploited a relationship. How? What exactly did he say and to whom? This is just a public lynching. It is wrong!

Remember that. God also taught that his deciples would be persecuted. When I see people like Tim Ballard persecuted, I understand God's plea to visit people in prison. Corrupt governments can't help themselves. The j6 political prisoners come to mind.
I really struggle with the church’s choice of words. Even if they’re privy to conduct from Tim Ballard that others aren’t aware of you’d think they would talk to him first or his stake President before releasing such a damning statement.
No because he's dropped elder Ballard's name a lot. And he's doing some shady stuff. So they need to tell everyone including vice who is actually uncovering truth here. Stop drinking the cool aid and admit you've been duped by Tim Ballard.

That smells fishy to me. There have been members that the church has denounced in the past, but they have always done it themselves! Why do it in such a back-ally fashion this time? No. I do not believe that this was the church. If it were truly from the church, then it would have been handled very differently.
I don’t understand why the church hasn’t sent out a clarifying statement yet. Why wouldn’t president Ballard go straight to Tim Ballard before releasing this publicly? This is all very wierd. It’s just not adding up.
I imagine the Church is having their people investigate all of this. It may take some time for them to release anything cuz this may be a trap. They have to be careful not to become ensnared in it. Many of us who are active members have been shaking our heads at decisions made church wise the past couple of years, cautious to not condemn the brethren. It is an interesting time. I don’t know where all these things are coming from in the church but it sounds like we have our own swamp that needs to be drained. This is a fascinating story for several reasons. First, the only story that was public before this one was his announcing an interest in running for Romney’s Senate seat. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say his fingerprints are on this. But why hasn’t the church cleared the air on this yet? I think that statement should have come out by now. The concern I have, if this was a hit job, is how Tim handled it. He doesn’t look like a legitimate candidate in his reactions. Then there’s the email… It’s very rushed and very non-detailed. The church doesn’t make vague announcements. Nor do they go through a place like Vice for ANY reason. The church has some splainin’ to do, imo. All that said, did you notice that another anti-trafficking group in Utah had their founder arrested and charged today? It doesn’t pass the smell test. Knowing a little bit about how cartels operate, I know their in law enforcement and government and Ballard and this other Lady have been very public thorns in their sides. Tim has every reason to be afraid. It wouldn’t surprise me if law enforcement is lying about some things just to bloody up Tim. I can’t imagine that his SP and Bishop aren’t on the phone with SLC demanding answers on this. I don’t expect Fox13 or anyone else to care to do their jobs. Just ridiculous. 🤦♂️
Because the anti trafficking is becoming like the MLM's in Utah... which behavior is a cancer on society. They need to shut down all these "white savior complex types". They're getting donation money and not doing anything but spending it on themselves and possibly doing harm to the kids. That's the problem.
You’re right about all the smoke around him. All the members think it’s the “devil”. I can tell you I’ve been in this for six years and no law enforcement are trying to bloody up Tim! They’ve all distanced themselves from him because he makes inaccurate claims and is too extreme to follow the rules. Do people really think he’s the only good guy fighting crime or saving the children? He distracts everyone from helping legitime, legal sources of help.

I believe in Tim Ballard, to be an honest and good man.
Saving all what children? What “sick offenders”? You do know he doesn’t work with law enforcement, right? You do know he donated hundreds of thousands to law enforcement and it was used for COUNSELING for the officers, right? Research much?
Tim said to ABC4 Utah: “I am a faithful Member in good standing in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I believe in Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, and I believe in our faith with my whole heart. That will never change." Sounds like someone being falsely accused. But who knows.
The word "betrayed" caught my attention immediately when I read this. Any time I see emotional, manipulative speech, I know something is wrong. So I go to the source and don't rely on summaries regardless of who put them out. Imo Elder Ballard may have at some point, expressed his opinions on the work Tim Ballard was doing. I don't think Tim Ballard name dropped in anything more than carelessly. The church has had to apologize in the past for overreacting, Avraham Gileadi comes to mind. Vice. Why is the church worried about a media source named VICE of all things? Someone please teach the brethren how to do a quick search before they release statements! Maybe they need to vet the underlings who write announcements and sign their names to it. They are playing into the adversaries hands! I wrote this purposely before I listened to Tim's retort. He is being truthful. He is hurt and outraged. I just wonder if, like covid, the Lord is allowing these mistakes by the brethren as part of the testing - of ALL of us! 🙏 How many more people will leave the church because the leadership seems so gullible?
Anyone that does something so good in this world WILL have a target on their back. You have to be so brave to run for office these days. Especially someone like Tim.
Ballard just spoke at a Congress committee meeting about the open borders facilitating trafficing. He pretty much laid it at Bidens feet. I think a third party/group is going after Ballard because of that.
Right?! Of all the outlets, it chooses some dingy, left-wing rag? What do you think the chances are that we hear something about this in a conference address in two weeks? I kid.
Even if he did something this is a horrible way to present it, to me it’s inhumane, he’s not a child molestor or a murderer. Do they denounce them to the world! No because I know of one.
This simply isn't passing the smell test for me. You mentioned more information would be released from those that had an ax to grind with Tim. Great! More mud to help muddy the water. If we are expecting any clarity from THAT, then we truly are idiots. It appears the only lesson to be learned here is that when you put your neck out for humanity, you better watch out for the same ax they've been grinding heading for your neck. I and confident Tim has the strength to handle it. My heart goes out to his wife and children. They don't deserve this! What message does this send to anyone who has any desire whatsoever to enter politics or public service? Hate to sound so cynical, but how can you not at this point?
I think this also sending a message to all of us. “Don’t get to popular, don’t become too big, don’t tell the truth too loudly, or you’re next.” And how many members of the Church, in good standing, have ever been reprimanded before ever talking to their bishop, and stake president, and without a church court to determine their guilt and punishment? I don’t know of any.
Try telling the truth about evil's march over the pulpit. Gender confusion, feminism, abortion--all off limits. Now child sex trafficking is off limits. We have to pretend it isn't a problem.
Yes the church don't like members to think, to use their own brain because then they (the members ) can not be puppets on its hands. As with other churches why to talk o confess to another person that can have worst sins.I wonder why is so bad that somebody talk or made a movie about abused children? I just answer myself...
Thank you for covering this. Poor Tim & his family! With the timeline of events happening & now the talks of him running for Senate, it's shocking that the church would feel it was a good move to "distance themselves" from Tim Ballard! I feel for him & his family! Whether anything true or false--not saying anything is true, no one is perfect. I appreciate the light shed on the "burner phone" situation & look forward to more posts. We support Tim & his family!
I became aware of OUR before listening to your program. Tim Ballard wanted to help rescue kids after talking to his wife. That part is in the movie. What many people don't know is when Tim quit working for the government he didn't know where to get financial support to do what he felt God wanted him to do. He knew about Glen Beck because Glenn had read one of his books. Tim asked Glenn if if he would help him and Glenn decided he had to help. This is where Tim got the money to start OUR. Sure there are many other groups and individuals who may have donated but the main support started from Glenn Beck talking about it on the radio. Tim Ballard also contributed in the rescue of many during the Afghanistan evacuation the saved many lives. Many more slaves in that area were saved from death ,torture or some were saved from having their body used parts sold on the black market. I used to be able to go back several years on The Blaze but I dont know if thats possible now. I do know you can get Tim Ballards book Slave Stealers. The book compares the experiences of the slaves in the civil war vs the slaves being rescued today. Also I think Tim was involved with the Nazarine fund. That was the organization that was involved in the Afghanistan evacuation. Remember by their fruits ye shall know them.
However it seems that it was released to Vice and after they published then it was sent to Fox 13 and Deseret News… doesn’t seem that they sent it until these other news agencies saw the Vice report… And I was VERY disappointed in the reporting by both Fox 13 and Deseret News. They both just basically regurgitated the Vice article…. Zero journalism was done by either organization
Thank you so much for discussing this. It has me confused and very concerned. I appreciate your work and am grateful to be able to listen to another opinion that I trust!
From the first moment i read about it, it seemed so odd i figured it wasn't true. We have to discern and not believe everything we see. I was shocked at some of the comments I've read in the last few days. Very disheartening. 😢
Huh, I read that the Church supports child trafficking in this letter. "We don't endorse or support his work" while his work is freeing children who are being trafficked - whoever wrote this did not think this through.
If you know about Tim Ballard’s books on the Constitution as the old covenant with God that existed with the Nephites, you will understand why I think he would make an amazing senator.
This is excellent, as usual, Greg. Thank you for keeping us updated. I don't have time to investigate this myself, and there are very few I trust to seek out the truth with an eye of faith. You are one of them. Keep up the good work.
That's the big problem with social media. Entities like the Church are always against the ropes. There's precedence for those voices that choose that which is not right: Mosiah 29:26-27 Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law--to do your business by the voice of the people. And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land.
@kz6fittycent Very true. It's important to avoid the contention and let the Spirit guide us. Perhaps the reason we're not getting a big explanation from Church leadership and even brother Tim Ballard has quieted is that the Stake President(s) and Bishop(s) are doing what they are called to do. I'm good with that. I don't think the media, social or otherwise, will be good with it, but I am.
Tim put out a video about these allegations. He is very puzzled by the whole thing. He said Elder Ballard and him are friends and he would never use his name. And if there was a problem why didnt his bishop or stake president addtess it with him personally.
So, they put out the movie and immediately everyone attacks the movie and those involved. Ask yourself why they are protecting those who harm, who do evil deeds against children. Why are they attacking those who go after those who harm children and who seek to save them. I can think of only one reason.
Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself. He was one of the most popular people in elite circles. His client list is still a secret. Why? We know it exists. He kept records. Hmm? Does that make me "Q-ajacent"?
Greg, thank you! Excellent analysis. I too have been very suspicious of the whole situation while also slow to judgment to see what more comes out. Hopefully truth and goodness prevail.
@@beckyhuntersteenblik512, not sure which result you are referring to, but for me, truth is truth, so if Tim turns out to have been doing stuff worthy of the reprimand, then so be it. I still don’t like the way this has been handled publicly through news organizations, but if the reprimand was necessary in a timely manner, then so be it. I doubt this couldn’t have been handled privately over the last three years during the Davis County investigation that turned up nothing to indict, and it is a bit strange that it happens right as Tim is considering announcing for a senate run. BTW, I don’t necessarily want him as my senator, I want to consider all the possible candidates first and choose the one that matches my beliefs and policies the closest, but no politician is perfect, nor are any in perfect alignment with any other person. My point being is, truth is truth and I will accept the truth. But it takes time for the truth to be fully evident in these media storms and hence my slowness to judge.
Tim unknowingly walked into the war between good and evil.. that is raging and the only thing evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing.. I choose to fight for good before I came to this world and as a follower of Jesus Christ.. I will choose the good fight now.. today.. who is on the Lord’s side.. Who?!!? .. or will you assist evil by standing by and doing nothing…!!!!
Good points! Jesus said his followers would be persecuted and reviled. I particularly look at Spencer Cox and Mitt Romney, and see two politicians who will do anything, say anything to avoid the pangs of service to God.
Maybe you are more up to date on this situation since this podcast, but in the last few weeks I have listened to people online very close to Tim and operation railroad, who regrettably say that Tim has fallen away in his behaviour (financial greed, sexual advances) and therefore there is significant substance to the Church distancing itself. To this end we need to give the Church the benefit of the doubt as such is faith we cannot see everything prophets see.
So many thoughts. My first thought about of truly the Church is stepping away from any ties to Tim...if he's truly running for office the church will not back any one individual.i also think Tim opened the huge Pandora box and truth is begining to open the eyes of the people media is the arm of politics and we are heading to an election. OUR and other organizations are showing the darkness of this country. I feel we as a nation are at the end of a pride cycle and some major humbling is needed.
The Church needs to be more transparent on this and other issues-it doesn’t do them any favors to just act like there was never an association and try to cover stuff up-in the very least it looks bad. Much like how they no longer talk about the church’s stance on communism and socialism and have taken out parts of talks from leaders talking boldly about those issues so now there are a couple generations that don’t know those teachings. “The truth shall set you free.” Is always the correct path.
The church needs to clear this up right away by either exposing the 'leak source" and delivering consequences. Or confirming their attack on an individual church member. If the latter, then how do you rectify the church's recent messages of kindness and forgiveness with their treatment of TB? Hypocracy destroys faith.... not a good direction from church leadership.
They probably just assumed people would read the article released today about the sexual misconduct allegations against Tim Ballard and that would clear things up.
“Attack” on an individual member? Kindness and forgiveness for an “individual member” who may have used the leaders names for his personal gain and portrayed the church as being associated with his group? They had no choice but to go public if that was the case.
@@beckyhuntersteenblik512 Wrong!!! read the church handbook there is a chain of command here, it always goes through the bishop and then the stake president, so on and so forth.
You said, let me go to the statement by the church I’m going to read this directly from the vice website. Why are we not reading this on the church website? Why was he not called in by his bishop and stake president if he was out of line? This makes no sense. Why was the professor at BYU teaching about a genderless Jesus not publicly rebuked?
My prayers are for Tim Ballard and his family. I hope he stays strong!
Agree 💯
That is just so hard to believe.
I’ll vote for Tim now on this alone. If bad actors want to hurt him so much, he’s probably a great choice to do something right.
Voting for him on this alone is why all the hero worshipers scare me. This isn’t the only time he’s been denounced by corporations he’s name dropped without permission or collaboration. Do some research.

I'm calling B.S on the statement, that came from the church's internal swamp.

I strongly suspect that VICE fabricated the statement from the Church. The Church would not make any statements to VICE, especially not about this.
Since when does the LDS church announce disciplinary actions to the world, naming names and sins???
It's just business. They did their first ads for Pfizer & Moderna a couple of years ago.
What disciplinary action did the church take? Specifically?
That is the reason why we can discern right away that this is not the doing of the church. That us not how the church operates.

The Church isn't really anti abortion anymore. They seem to have gone agnostic on infanticide. Seriously, try to find a coherent statement.
Elder Ballard called Henry Reid in his funeral, " a man of God" while the truth was that Henry Reid had help Obama to push abortion agenda! If Henry Reid was a man of God according to Elder Ballard, Tim Ballard has to be the hero who actually saved many God's children!
What the? Relevance?
I’ve gotta tell you this is just going to be more wood to the flame for members who are struggling and thinking the Church has apostatized.
And more fodder for the anti’s.
I also feel that Utah politics is so messed up. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of this is about that!
Exactly. The timing cannot be ignored.
But what I do know from following Tim Ballard for a few years is that he has not done anything to bring dishonor to the church.
and Tim Ballard said that it was Elder Ballard who asked Tim for the tour.
Tim Ballard has brought more honor to OUR Church than the Church media and PR Departments have in their entire history. Those "Mormon Ads" done by Bonneville were so 🤮.
Except expose our naivety. Not everyone worships Tim as much as they do the church. I don’t support his extremism. It’s too dangerous.

"Even the very elect." If you want to really understand who Jesus was talking about, read the Joseph Smith Translation. It is hard to find, but it's in the back of your paper scriptures.

They would! That’s why I don’t believe this is true.
Very sad and heart broken for him that seems very faithful.
But DID the Church leaders say that? 'Vice' specializes in bad deeds. Do we trust 'Vice'? Not I.

@@beckyhuntersteenblik512 Why VICE? If the church is going to denounce someone, ANYONE, why go to VICE?
This is not how the church has done things in the past, so why do it like this now? There have been members that the church has denounced in the past, but they have always done it themselves! Why do it in such a back-ally fashion this time?

They are saying he has dementia. He is being used. Sound familiar?
I imagine the Church is having their people investigate all of this. It may take some time for them to release anything cuz this may be a trap. They have to be careful not to become ensnared in it. Many of us who are active members have been shaking our heads at decisions made church wise the past couple of years, cautious to not condemn the brethren. It is an interesting time.
Then there’s the email…
It’s very rushed and very non-detailed.
I’ve been following a few other channels on this topic and there does seem to be a lot of smoke around Tim Ballard but not really any provable fires.

Doug Anderson is NOT the Church.
That needs to be clarified in the communications.
He IS the Church when the CHURCH allows or directs him to SPEAK for the Church. Honestly, is there a schism playing out right now before our very eyes?
Yes he speaks for the 12 apostles. He's speaking the voice of the apostles. They're inspired to get away from this guy.
If Tim Ballard made public statements claiming the Church and President Ballard endorsed his work, where are those public statements?
I don't think Doug Anderson would have just sent the email out on his own. He would have been instructed to do it by one of the 12, or the entire 12.
This is insane, 3 days before it was leaked that time Ballard is going to run as senator, this happens. I know Romney wants a more leftish to take his place and that Romney doesn’t like Tim Ballard, hmmm makes you think. I feel Tim Ballard is on the persecution side of things because he’s made such good to strives and has do ne such a wonderful things by saving all these children, and putting all these sick offenders in jail he is bound to have someone go after him and the person Greg Anderson that wrote it to Vice, really Vice, that should tell you something right there. I believe in Tim Ballard, to be an honest and good man.
How do you know Romney doesn’t like Tim Ballard? I don’t especially care for Romney but it seems way below him to pull a stunt like this.
Saving all what children? What “sick offenders”? You do know he doesn’t work with law enforcement, right? You do know he donated hundreds of thousands to law enforcement and it was used for COUNSELING for the officers, right? Research much?

Tim said to ABC4 Utah:
“I am a faithful Member in good standing in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I believe if the Church responds in any official capacity to this that they (we) will be villified no matter what.
This is gotcha journalism.
That's the big problem with social media. Entities like the Church are always against the ropes. There's precedence for those voices that choose that which is not right:
Mosiah 29:26-27 Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law--to do your business by the voice of the people.

@@beckyhuntersteenblik512, not sure which result you are referring to, but for me, truth is truth, so if Tim turns out to have been doing stuff worthy of the reprimand, then so be it.
Or we’re being given an opportunity to research Tim and OUR more than just going to his movie.
They didn’t want to be contentious? Contention is of the devil.
Exactly!
