This crew is legit amazing. Laurie the straitlaced and no-nonsense pilot and Adam the laserfocused mechanic having to deal with Sully the drunk captain with a six shooter, Isaac the bloodthirsty soldier, and Tom, the most suspicious scientist in the galaxy. This is a better crew than either Prometheus or Alien Covenant had, by a fuckin landslide.
Easy to beat Prometheus with the biologist who's afraid of ancient corpses but wants to kiss hissing space-cobras, and a geologist who gets lost in the very cave systems he's in charge of mapping.
@@JediMB I 100% believe that Prometheus started off as a different movie and they just shoehorned in some stuff from the Alien franchise to make it a Prequel.

I played this on Tabletop Sim and had an amazingly cinematic experience. I played the guy in the wheelchair. My secret goal was that I was best friends with the soldier who I needed to survive with. Beginning of the game our group split up in pairs. The soldier and I took a path south while the pilot and scientist took a path north with the intent of regrouping at the front of the ship. The scientist along the way discovered a room full of eggs and tried to steal one but got infected by an alien. He tried running away but died leading an alien towards the pilot. The soldier and I were waiting at the front of the ship when the soldier suddenly locked the door that lead to the pilot. He declared to everyone that his secret goal was to kill that player. The pilot ran off in a different direction and the soldier and I made our way to the escape pods. Along the way, I figured I needed to prove myself to the soldier and entered a room alone. I found an alien which by some magical luck I was able to defeat on my own. The soldier seemed impress. Meanwhile the pilot stumbled upon the alien queen near the other set of escape pods and was quickly slain. The soldier and I eventually made it to the escape pods. The soldier entered first and I stayed behind to finish off one of the face huggers. But before I knew it, the soldier began taking off without me. He revealed his actual goal was to let everyone die. And he succeeded. I spent the rest of my turns in that escape pod bay taking the pass action as the queen hurdled through the ship’s halls towards me. I could just picture my character there staring out the window. Staring at the escape pod as imminent death rushed towards him. Staring at the man who I thought was my best friend but had been my Nemesis all along…

I was really missing Isaac from the non-BotCT games on NRB, so great to see him for a game where his fiendish investigative skills can be put to good use!
Probably the best playthrough of Nemesis on youtube with the most correct rules. Only things I caught : Soldier's second movement on turn 1 round 1 did not roll noise. Soldier at 59:00 deals 3 damage with his crit, not 2, because of his gun. Meaningless because alien died anyways. 1:08:00 Soldier should have brought the alien with him when he had Danger on the exploration token, and not placed the noise. The noise placement only happens if you do not bring a neighboring alien along. 1:11:00 Pilot didn't roll noise in new room. 1:12:25 Bag development was skipped during event phase. 1:19:00 Scientist cannot use room action in combat to pick up an egg. Also, you roll for noise if you pick up or destroy an egg in the Nest. You can use lab equipment in the Nest without picking up the egg to analyze it, as long as you not in combat. 1:22:35 Not a mistake, but you can get rid of Slime with Clothes. There are 3/30 in the yellow deck and 3/30 in the green deck. Clothes also dress serious wounds. 1:24:40 Scientist cannot careful move while in combat (no one can). Otherwise, gameplay tips : You should always play Motivate as captain, especially if you are in a room with another character, unless you are completely antagonistic to everyone. Even if you motivate yourself, you can get more Search cards which is the "best" general card. Engine Control Room is an overpowered room. When it was discovered, Laurie or someone else should have repaired it and used it. It can save you a giant amount of action economy going to the engines and the noise generated doing so. Storage Room is also top tier. When Mechanic landed in storage room without any surrounding noise, it would have been prudent to stay there for a turn or two to stock up on items (and also could have activated his quest item blowtorch). You can indefinitely spend 2 actions to get an item from any deck.
The biggest one I saw was at 48:00 When the larva gets the sneak attack. You don't draw and attack card for Larva, they simply attach to you player board or kill you if you already have one there.

And at 1:19:00 the take egg from nest isn't a pickup heavy object, it's the room action of the nest and costs 2 and requires performing a noise roll. And also room actions cannot be performed in combat (which he was because he triggered the adult encounter while moving into the room)

A little observation I had, and maybe I'm wrong, but in 22:44 Adam does careful movement in a corridor with already a noise token on, in the rules it says that when you use careful movement instead of rolling the dice you put a noise token on the corridor you just came in, but if there's already a noise token then you can't perform careful movement, maybe I'm wrong but I think that's how it is in the rules, sorry for being a but rules layering. Little edit: (I have been corrected and seen that in fact I was wrong in my assumption of how the rules were applied)
That's not quite correct. The rules state: "Careful Movement works exactly like Movement, but instead of performing a Noise roll after moving, place a Noise marker in a chosen Corridor connected to the Room you are entering. If there is a Noise marker in all the Corridors connected to the Room you want to move to, you cannot perform a Careful Movement. You cannot perform Careful Movement if you are in Combat."
I'd really love some closer shots of the board so we can see what's being played better. You'll have Laurie looking over at where he wants to move, and we're looking at his face rather than his hand showing us what he's doing. Then a wide shot that's more difficult to see which also gives us less of the figures and artwork to look at! I know it can be difficult, but cuts to players faces and wide shots would be great if accompanied by closer shots of sections of the board when being played.
Just a heads up NRB at 1:12:05 the queen wouldnt go back into the vents because there is a Noise Marker in the technical coridor. If there WASNT a noise marker in the thechnical coridor you would draw an event card to see where she goes! Just learned that me self today. Happy gaming!
I remember watching Shut Up & Sit Down reviewing Nemesis and saying the board is dark as hell...they weren't kidding. Speaking of SU&SD, it would be awesome to have Quinns, Adam, Tom or Ava as guests for a game
Got some good clarifications for my own game BUT I noticed when the room had the "claw mark" on the room token that still will summon an alien if a corridor has a noise which will then clear all the other noise tokens. Great stuff, subscribed.

Fantastic game! ?The only thing better are the players, love watching you all!!
I see you Twilight Imperium...
Now that's a big boy game!
I am half way through and this is by far the most hilarious gameplay I have watched for nemesis. 😀
The danger at 1:08:00 draws aliens from adjacent rooms into yours, the noise thing is just if there isn't an alien adjacent
Just a heads up NRB at 1:12:05 the queen wouldnt go back into the vents because there is a Noise Marker in the technical coridor. If there WASNT a noise marker in the thechnical coridor you would draw an event card to see where she goes! Just learned that me self today. Happy gaming!
No? The queen goes into the vent.
I have waited for what has felt like an eternity for this Episode.
Now that it is here,
It feels so surreal and amazing at the aame time.
You guys are great. You bring the board game to life. You make the game look easy to play
All you need is some royalty free background music and you have basically got yourself a worthy adversary to tabletop. Amazing stuff man keep it up.
My favorite part is 24:18 best in character comedy
Waiting on the Dead of Winter episode
Definitely one of my favourite games to play
LAURIE: It’s definitely on the list
Yesssss!! I’ve been waiting for this episode FOREVER now! Thank you everyone for the hard work and excellent production as always :)

Love this! Cannot wait until Friday for part 2. Almost as good as the 10 hour marathon. You guys should do another one of those!
I remember watching Shut Up & Sit Down reviewing Nemesis and saying the board is dark as hell...they weren't kidding. Speaking of SU&SD, it would be awesome to have Quinns, Adam, Tom or Ava as guests for a game
yay isaac! love him in the blood on the clocktower stuff
Part 1? Oh yes can't wait for this 😍😍😍
This is so much fun to watch. I'm gonna have to pick this game up. I'm rooting for Laurie.
Dude one of the best game sessions yet! I can't wait to get this game for the collection and play with some friends.
This needs to be a monthly video too along with blood on the clock tower ❤️❤️
1:19:25
"Oh god, Captain Bumblefuck's coming my way."
😂😂😂
Yes! I've been waiting for you guys to play this game
Oh, I've been waiting for this. It's terrible though, you have me wanting to fly to London from Canada, just to try and book a table for Draughts.
Best captain ever!
Btw just a small correction:
1:24:40 You can't make careful movement while in combat
I regularly keep coming back to this because of how entertaining the crew is here. Hope to see another play of this
Brilliant; I could watch you guys play this regularly
Terrible things out of context: It could be a baby….it’s a blank hooray!
been waiting a long time for this video, my copy should be arriving tomorrow can't wait to play and paint the minis
Same here! Mine is coming in tomorrow and I can't wait!
Completely wish they would've pulled a Nickelodeon when Issac got slimed and actually dumped a bucket of slime on him lol
Intrigue with Sully, Adam, Laurie/Blair and Tom/Carley would be magic
Or Survive, escape from Atlantis
This production value is incredible. This video deserves more views.
9:35 had me laughing,”I FOUND THE ENGINES!!!!” (Places all noise tokens around the tile)
“We awake from cryosleep and oh no! Gerald’s dead!”
Scientist: **shocked he wasn’t stabbed on the hands of a clocktower.**
Who knew Mrs slocumbe was in space! Completely unexpected are you being served reference and absolutely love it.
BGC is a good replacement for Da Party - can't wait for part 2 :)
I expected Isaac would be around for this one, and I would have been a bit bummed if he wasn’t
Oh mah gosh!!! Very excited about this
Got some good clarifications for my own game BUT I noticed when the room had the "claw mark" on the room token that still will summon an alien if a corridor has a noise which will then clear all the other noise tokens. Great stuff, subscribed.
Yeah an heroic Engineer, a slimy soldier, drunk captain, Pilot that only focuses on piloting, and a suspicious scientist..
I love drunk captain sully
