Cassatt-the visual master, Austen-the literary master, both critiquing women's social standing in limited living space, may it be at home or at the theatre. This lecture canonizes Cassatt's contribution to impressionism. I am so grateful for Dr. Mathews' insightful research on the topic of "thinking" through visual mechanisms, our eyes in relation to interpretation of our physical world through "seeing" Cassatt's paintings.

The plural of still life is still lifes not "Still Lives".
We are pluralizing the 2 words 'still life' not the single word ' life'.
We don't say The Toronto Maple Leaves

Wait , is this woman a neuroscience expert? I find her categories arbitrary, bizarre and without validity. A way to set herself apart and perhaps sell books. As usual with people who try to explain art and artist it boils down to -- so what? Let the art speak for itself.
