    2nd speed test is done using the tp link app, which directly checks speed from main router, and not from the 2nd mesh

      That is correct, It was odd he didn't use the same speed test tool on the second test, kind of deceiving.

    Once the Decos are working, shoudn't we turn off the wi-fi signal from the provider router?

    It seems the videos I watched on the M5 have all setup the first pod with an existing router. I have an older Linksys 2500 router that I am reluctant to use as I think it may be a bottle neck for IPS speed. I believe I have the option to leave the old router out of the equation and connect the first pod directly to my modem. Is that accurate? The 1st Pod will then operate as my primary router?
    Because I have a need to plug in four ethernet cables at the location of my first pod I plan on purchasing the "TP-Link 3-packDeco M5 Mesh with 5 port Switch". So I assume that I would connect the 1st Pod to the Modem and then use the second port on the 1st Pod to attach the 5 port Switch. Is that also correct?

    Why didn't you use the same speed test for the 2nd node?

    Does this Deco M5 work with a specific TP-LINK router or any routers from other brands?

    I think I saw you have an Arlo camera system. How would you set this up with this system?

    If I choose to use the same ssid as my current router is using, will I have interference or will I have have to turn off the router's SSID and only use the Deco?

    • @DeviceDeal
      @DeviceDeal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. The Deco will give you a new SSID (network) to connect to. Shouldn't cause any interference with your current router. Just make sure you connect to the Deco instead of your old network!

    can we connect the 2nd device through wireless connection? since the 1st one is wired through the router?

    • @DeviceDeal
      @DeviceDeal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep, that's how it works. Only one node needs to connect to your modem, the rest are wireless. Hope this helps!

      We haven't tested gaming, can't say sorry. Connection speed was great though, so I think gaming would be fine.
