I took this entire video during a trip from Buffalo to Toronto last summer. It's meant to feel like a road trip, with all the shaky camera views and everything. Hope you like it.
The shaky camera made it feel so much more realistic and made me feel alive. The song's depressing yet happy at the same time. I sincerely wish I had more adventure in my life, I think it's a precious spice to really add some flavour.
2 Months ago...I found a newborn kitten without mother...I decided to take him to my house... I was listening to that song at the moment... I took care of him...nursed him... he died last night...and this song now....means something, the best 2 months in my entire and lonely life...
Sings the melody hook at the start: I am, not your Father, I'm your Grandad, Your Grandaddy. I am, not your Father, I'm your Grandad, Your Grandaddy. I am, not your Father, I'm your Grandad, Your Grandaddy. I am, not your Father, I'm your Grandad, Your Grandad.
I heard this song long before I watched 28 Days Later. As good as that movie was, I'm glad that I don't automatically pair the two together. I love this song to death.
U ever felt like maybe that one person for you is out there somewhere thinking the same and maybe while you sit listening to this your connected in that moment, music is such a beautiful web that we can all relate with in some way or another, great song
I´ve been looking for this song during 8 years, trying to remember its name. Today I sunddenly remembered I had an old account I used on YT, and after browsing a bit the history... got it!
I'm a Grandaddy fan, I've never seen 28 Days Later, so it gets even weirder! Hope you're keeping well anyway. Might bump into you again in 2016-17. Be lucky! :)
Aaaaaaa my friend, who is now passed away, showed me this song on the best night of my life. I'll Never forget that night or the first time I listened to this song
I watched this video like 10 years ago, maybe more. Today I finished watching a movie, went into youtube and searched "am 180 toronto" straight away, looking for this vid. No idea why.
Love this song. Actually thought it was the band’s official video it was that good. Being rustic, artistic and all. Great work. The modern world needs more of this 👍🏼
Such a stupidly simple concept of 'take a camera and film stuff in a car', but it works so well. Simple stuff sometimes works the best, and this is a true example of that. Brilliant. 5/5
Woooo!! haha random excitement lol. I actually forgot what this song was called, but I had the tune in my head for ages but couldn't remember the lyrics, kinda' like "nur nur nurnur nur nur" hahha I love listening to a song you haven't heard in forever then it just comes back, I think i might replay this one!
Well, I think Bill's got a point. If you look at the whole life of the planet, we... you know, man, has only been around for a few blinks of an eye. So if the infection wipes us all out, that is a return to normality.
OH MY GOD I instantly recognised your username... I have a bit of a photographic memory, lol! How strange to find you here! You wrote on my channel over three years ago. Can't remember why. I presume a Kasabian video. So... hey =]
yeah! i totally recognize a lot of the first half of this video! I used to live in st. catharines, so it was a nice trip down memory lane :0 great video, i really liked the idea!
hahaha awesome. you drove through my town(St. Catharines, Ont) at the beginning of the video. actually i made almost the same trip about 2 days ago(my town to toronto)
@thSubliminalCriminal also a little interesting thing I just figured out here when you play this and synch it up to the movie "poltergeist" when the dude is coming around the corner of the cul-de-sac and the kids chase him with rc cars it goes along pretty nicely. fuck i'm stoned...

I live in Niagara Falls, NY and LOVE this song! It’s nice seeing a familiar area with this special song!
