Bloody brilliant. I've learn't a lot about fabrication and welding from watching your videos. It's like watching a puzzle being put together with dry humour and honesty thrown in. Thanks.
Keep at it Matt, I believe people are sick of the 'content creators' that merely do it to earn money. Some of those videos come out like info-mercials, I'd never believe a word most of them say in "reviews". It's so much better watching someone who actually knows what they're doing, and has passion for it.
Great work, glad you are doing TH-cam all the time, please, please don't make the mistake of the channel becoming a sales channel due to sponsorship. I've watched good channels that have grown and the instructional work content gets less and less and products take over. As usual "like a glove!"
Go for it Matt. I am rooting for you. Thanks for reminding me about bevelling the end of the tube to ensure good weld penetration. Really really nice welds!!
Very goods welds and the new welder sounds very good too. Love the audible crackle from the weld which gives super feedback. Excellent weld preps on your tube ends too. Looking forward to more 😊
Been stick and mig welding diy stuff for years and all ways enjoy it but i am truly humbled by the quality of stuff you do. Keep it going mate its great to watch.
I don't know who the dbags are that give you a thumbs down but they need to find a new place to troll. You are amazing. I keep getting lazy with my car and then I watch your videos and I am motivated all over again! Keep up the good work!
Hey everybody!!! Matt has 25K subs. If each one of us gets a friend, relative, buddy, mate, or whatever to subscribe, we can bump Matt up to 50K. Considering what Matt gives us, this is a really minor request.
Brilliant job mate. I haven’t bothered to subscribe to anything in ages but your channel is awesome. Watched all your vids and you make it look so easy and really explain things well. I’ve picked up so many tips from you. Worked with a guy from Cornwall who talks just like you, you could be brothers haha. Anyway keep it up mate, I look forward to seeing your stuff, I think we all do. Legendary!
Hey Matt. Wanted to wish you well with your new venture. You will be amazing as your work speaks for itself. Enjoy every moment of your success and never stop believing in yourself. Congratulations on being brave enough to face the unknown when others may have wilted from the pressure. Keep up the great content, it is appreciated by so many. Lastly, have fun and remember there a necessary balance between work and your home life. Have fun.
That is ding dang doo! Nice work, planning in that cage is genius, with it sliding back to finish welds, and the way it slot through so front end clip can go into sockets. It's fucking awesome
Another brilliant video Matt I think you will do well with your channel. It's quality stuff that you explain very well, so we all learn from you. Cheers
That's a great little welder.I have a similar one, a Miller 180 from Aire Liquide. I got a screaming deal on a big box of flux core .035, so I haven't hooked up to the gas yet. By the look of your welds, I might consider it before I need to. No splatter, beautiful. You sure do nice work and your commentary is great. Your editing skills are a good teach for me as I'm going to start filming some of my many projects. Thanks for another awesome video, mate. Cheers from Canada.
Congrat's on your decision to go for it, Matt..... You'll do well...Just make sure you save some time for the Family..... Having an extra man in the shop, sounds like something that should happen after everything really gets rolling......Would hate to see a good thing come to an end over Money issues... Welds look great as always, even with the new welder....Nice simple looking rig,, 2 knobs only so should be D.I.Y. user friendly... Cage is coming along nicely....
Great video man , I know your gonna say they are shite , but as a hobby welder I bought a small gasless mig to patch holes in my cars , I hope you will do a video one day using such a machine
Show more tips and tricks there very handy might be common sense to you but there very informative for people watching trying to do this work at home keep it up my new favourite youtube channel
Good idea to get someone in to keep the roll cages going definitely a good idea to keep that part of the business ticking over as a back up plan can’t wait for the hoody’s to be released keep at it great things are destined for you
Love this build. I like your idea to do these videos full time. If I can toss out an idea for the next project maybe do a newer car chassis like a camaro or something with an old muscle car body
That new welder alright ain't it, and makes your welds look even better, if that was possible. 😉 I was so pleased to see you'd posted a new vid, can't wait for the next episode of the rear cage. 👍
Hey! I suggest that you auction off the original equipment items from the car on ebay - keep a running commentary on the action and go where it takes you. The speedo for instance would be a cool and historically relevant piece for someone who collects things removed from famous race vehicles. That would mean that you need to win a few races along the way with this build...and be a TH-cam star as well - which you are well on your way to becoming. I love your content!
Matt.. will you ship merch to the USA too? Love this build and truly enjoy your content. Great mix of technical knowledge and just building cool a$$ projects. Definitely run with your dream.. if you build it they will come!!
Loving your work mate! I’m beginning my first resto and I’ve honestly learned heaps from your videos! I’ll 100% buy some merch to support you! Keep up the good work!
Idea for a t-shirt or hoodie: 'like a glove' across the front and your logo on the back... and a question: when you make the same part twice, once for each side are they exactly the same or do they vary a little bit?
very cool videos... love your technical input.. and i surely appreciate the forward explanations before your next step....i ll be watching till the end...awesome work!!!!!
Hi mat. Just got in from work. Cup of tea. And sat down. Straight on my phone. And just watched the video. Great job bud 👍. Can't wait to get my hands on a tea shirt. I've been telling friends at work. Who are into car's and fabrication. I've worked in the aircraft industry for the last therty years. I'm a trimmer by traid. But I also work in the test house. Fabricating all the test rigs. And other things. We work to tight tolerance. Less than ten thuo. On the lathe less than that. Anyway less of my shit. Wot I'm saying is that you're way off thinking and ability to work with wot you got. You would do well in my industry. I would love you to work on my car. I've been working on it for years. On my drive way. It youst to be on the road. I've done all the macanicall stuff. But the body is a bit worse for were. I've tried to find someone to help me but I've been let down a few times. And the welding I have had done is a bit shit. So hopefully I'll be able to learn some cool stuff from you. And take the plung. Sorry for the bad spelling. And me going on. Take care of yourself fella. Speak soon. Oh if you need an apprentice. Give me a shout out. Haa haa!! You've got my dream job. I love old cars and bikes. Well the sort of stuff you're working on. Later bud 👍
Maybe you should do weekly videos. When you slow it down you can show more progression on the car and give yourself a little more time to edit/story tell instead of the grueling daily pace you keep now. Just a thought. Love your welds btw!
Bloody brilliant. I've learn't a lot about fabrication and welding from watching your videos. It's like watching a puzzle being put together with dry humour and honesty thrown in. Thanks.

The man that taught you to weld should a proud man, he taught you well.
Good luck in your venture. I am glad you have a chance to make a living by showing your work, and mostly us learning from you.
I like your attention to detail and the quality of your work.
Great work, glad you are doing TH-cam all the time, please, please don't make the mistake of the channel becoming a sales channel due to sponsorship. I've watched good channels that have grown and the instructional work content gets less and less and products take over. As usual "like a glove!"
