Yo. I was the tank in the ZG - can explain what happened. There is a bug where if you dispel a CCd tank right as mind control ends, they will uncontrollably run towards the edge of Hakkar’s temple, potentially off into the berserkers below (we’re not sure if you actually do, because nobody’s let themselves run off). The only way we’ve found to stop yourself from running off is to use a petri flask. However, using a petri flask wipes all of your threat. That meant that one tank had top threat, instead of the usual two (the third tank was below dps at that point). So when Snakeyes got mind controlled, Hakkar switched to a dps, and… yeah. F to Coot :(
Ah good thing full price expansions, in game shop, and subscription gives blizzard massive amounts of income. They should be able to fix that in no time at all... oh wait... it's been 20 years? Nvm then.
I'd normally expect DPS to look out for themselves of course. In this case since none of the DPS seemed to have shown awareness that threat was going to be a problem when the flask was popped, it would probably help to avoid problems by communicating that all DPS should stop attacking, get out of melee range, vanish, etc.
I can explain what happened too, the rogue was soo worried about being on top of the overall damage for Hakkar and staying 4k damage ahead of everyone else instead of spamming feint off cooldown and staying alive that his threat was through the roof and he got globaled, what a dope LOL.
Your narration makes everything even more funny. You really have great comedic timing. You make it so much easier to understand what went wrong, and what could have helped.
If the Rogue at 12:24 didn't sit that first gouge while evasion was up he would have beaten the mob. He wasted 8 seconds of Evasion which he could have been damaging in... Also, not using Slice and Dice for like 1 whole minute made a huge difference in their damage.
I used to play Everquest. If you died, you lost a level. Sometimes this meant losing days of work. But permadeath? Now that's too hardcore for me, I admit it.
So, in the final clip, mobs stop fleeing when they find another mob. There is a stealth mob you can just barely make out that the rare mob 'finds' which causes it to stop fleeing and turn around and auto attack. Thats why the flee was so short.
If you look closely, the mob started to flee the exact second it got kidney shotted. There was 3 seconds of fleeing where it was just stunned, and not actually fleeing.
omg, yesterday i died on my lvl21 mage because i had multiple respawn while easily killing lower lvl mobs...and couldnt pot...because i just took a mana pot 😂😂😌 another lesson learned XD
@@hrdii678 It took me years to understand daze because I never cared to figure out the details. Since it's not all too self-evident and in a non-HC world not that unforgiving I'd say it's just a habit thing to stick to your unenlightened guns.

uh...... pro-tip guys, learning how to aoe farm as a mage on HARDCORE by watching a video or 2 on TH-cam is the dumbest idea possible... just delete the character and save yourself the humiliation

You can actually disable the optimise for speed option to reduce disconnects, with modern internet connections the network optimisation isn’t needed so much
