I played druid in Classic, I opened a blood of heroes and was able to shift form travel escape from him, watched a dude ride over the hill straight into him after I had escaped, felt bad watching him melt, but would have felt more bad if it was now with hardcore.
If you ever open one of those and take the risk - Free action potion, then loot. If you only have one elite, then stun it and book it. If you're a mage like this person - FAP, loot, Frost nova, blink away As long as you have a FAP up which last 30s you should be okay. The slow is what will get you.
That spell reflecting ship captain almost got me too, i pulled him, novad and immediately shot a fireball > fire blast combo at him which he promptly reflected and dropped me to 40% life. Heart rate jumped at least 30bpm
Ya, I didn't even remember that ability, but luckily I'm a druid and I did my civic duty and waited in line. A Warlock was ahead of me and I let him kill him first. Well, I was hitting him with Starfire and Moonfire to help and sometimes I'd get blasted. I was like lolwut? So when it was my turn it was Moonfire tag > Cat Form, lol. Your health comment gives me an old man PvP flashback of STV back in the day. I barely remember the fight now except for some key points, me on my Warrior and I had Spell Reflect (WoLK??), with a Rogue and Druid vs. a Mage and two others which I cannot recall. We focused the other two and the Mage was pretty much free casting. Well...except I'd throw up Spell Reflect once in a while. Everything is a blurr cuz everything happened so fast, but do remember we killed the other two, turned on the Mage and he was 50% health and I asked "why was he only at 50%?" The Rogue and Druid said they didn't touch him and we all speculated that it was Spell Reflect damage, lol. Like Gozu criticizes here, I don't think I had plates up then so I was pretty blind in that fight.
