I bound w to scroll-wheel in my mouse software. And combine it with momentumshifs for the "sideways while looking at target" strafe. I could play car smg and smart pistol. I don't think binding w to scrollwheel externally is an ethical problem. This is months old footage but my servers are also working currently.

So you basically completely unbind W so you sacrifice going forward so you can tap-strafe? That's very interesting although it would probably make me suck a lot more at the game if I try it lol
I'd love to see Mokey invite some notable movement heavy players from apex to play in a lobby together to see what they could do in tf2. Comparing the 1st game to their last game would be super interesting to see how they progressed during the play session with tf2 mechanics

When there's no tap strafing in apex, so you revert to Titanfall
@@NoHope_ i don't bother anymore. If they're removing it, so be it. Momentum shifts are enough to play well
@@GalacticYuna momentum shifts feel awkward to me cause it's done by looking opposite of where you want to go (I think) Tap strafing feels much better
@@SaltySalman momentum shifting doesn't necessarily need you to turn like that. You're describing the most common kind of momentum shift.
Technically as long as you change your direction in at most 45 degree increments you can change to most directions
@@NoHope_ they've already explained that they're not removing lurch but they ARE limiting the Max number of lurches so momentum shifting (including tap strafing) is more reasonable.
The ability to use scroll wheel is also apparently being removed

This compilation is beautiful but honestly the thing that surprised me more than the fact that tap strafing is working in TF2 is the fact you were able to actually play TF2. my experience was constant disconnects and 30 second matches that got ddossed to kingdom come, I'm glad you were able to get in though.
The game is playable right now i’ve been playing for weeks now.
@@LysergiaLand-L-25 i i'm so happy to hear that, I uninstalled right before the time they were saying you should uninstall cause of a security reach. If it's playable i'll reinstall, solo campaign was hella fun so multiplayer would be insane
@@rufusprime0015 yea it just sucks that it’s not perfect it still disconnects you sometimes. But you just have to search for a match again. I haven’t had any problems today so far been on for a hour.

This might be the most satisfying video I've watched
This game is 4 years old if people didn't know this is one of the greatest shooters of all time. Movement is so smooth and fun. Basically apex on steroids or the shadow royale zombie movement but that isn't even close to this game and the biggest franchise in gaming history ( call of duty ) couldn't even make advance warfare infinite warfare or black ops 3 as good as this. 3 was like 20% similar. But titanfall was first to do it.

titanfall is one of those games that is sweaty as hell but looks so calm and relaxing. I wish i had played it during its "peak" if you could call it that. I've recently only discovered these movement techniques through apex which seems like a kindergarten titanfall2 watching this video. hats off to you good sir

Question: Can you tap strafe multiple times in the air? Because whenever I see it used it's only after being in the air and used once like some type of double jump. Can't test this myself cause I'm a console player
Nope you cannot u can only do it after some sort of Bhop double jump or something like that
I think there is a Tutorial about that in YT for console i think its 1 year or 2 years ago

Honestly I'd love to see titanfall 3. I'm a massive apex fan I was beta day 1 apex. I stopped in season 2 came back for shadow royale last year and left after 3 weeks. Now season 10 played alot maxed out the battlepass in 3 weeks. Levelled up 130 levels now 250. Got like 2k kills on season 10 valk is on another level I switched from bloodhound to octane now valk. If titanfall made there multiplayer and campaign and battle royale or some Spon on zombies this would be the best shooter in terms of not mine or others opinion but sales wise 👌
Never played Apex Legends but I feel sad for the players, by removing tap-strafing Respawn is artificially lowering the skill ceiling of the game since the majority can't keep up. And players who can't fight those who can tap-strafe will quit the game = less people spending money in the game.
Titanfall 2 may have no updates in the last 4 years but at least it doesn't have these dumb nerfs that prevents players to the fullest.
agree, also keeping the tap strafing means that you get a room for improvement meaning spending more time with the game
Good news they physically cant remove tap strafing since its built into thw source engine therefor unless they want to remake the game from scratch they cant get rid of it
If you think it's just about spending money on the game, you are completely missing the mark.
Lobby's fill quickly in Apex. The skill ceiling being reduced is a good thing for that sole purpose. Apex is difficult enough of a shooter as it is for the casual players and younger crowd trying to get into playing popular new FPS games. There's no need to turn Apex into something that Titanfall already is.
Not to mention the abilities are a major factor in Apex. If you added in Titanfall movement with grappling / constant air-strafing and tap-strafing / wall-running, and combine that with already existent champion abilities, the game would become a nightmare to balance, which is *exactly* what the developers already have said themselves. (No need to bring up the fact that Legend abilities already exist in Titanfall as equipment, etc, because it's not a direct comparison with Apex where *only* a specific Legend can use a specific ability in their toolkit, hence the balancing issue)
People just need to stop pining over what Titanfall could have been and let Apex be its own video game. A video game that is doing really well for itself and has made a lot of great decisions in its design as a Battle Royale.
@@zera2314 yes becuase lowering the skill cealing is not gonna make the game not repetitive and less fun for pros to master and then not lose money then die becuase nobody wants to play a game that caters to the casuals

the movement so smooth
i love how tap-strafing in titanfall is purely risk-reward mechanic, where you either make small quick adjustments to the vector of your momentum, in which you dont really lose speed, or pull of a mf 90 degree mid-air turn on that cheeky camper to mess up his aim, where there are huge speed losses
also i found that tapstrafing is extremely useful in coliseum, cuz there are natural jump and speed boost
shit lets you bunnyhop and tapstrafe, changing your momentum alternating it to left and right with almost no momentum loss
gosh i wish we had something like r5 reloaded but for titanfall2

When was this recorded? I have heard some stuff about it not being safe to even log onto Titanfall but I really wanna play it. Is it safe to reinstall it and play it again? (as of 10/8/21)
That was a hoax, at least that’s what I’ve heard. It’s been safe to play for a couple weeks now, only problem is disconnecting from the multiplayer lobby. If you stay in the multiplayer lobby for too long it takes you back to the main menu, so the trick is to have all modes on and pray you can find a match before getting kicked out and having to try again
