Based on the recommendation , i have installed this OS .it has lot of bugs Bluetooth not working and battery drain issue. nearly i have spent 4 hours for research and fix. please test the OS in the physical device and recommend to us. Definitely there is results difference over VM from physical device. this what many people back stepping from Linux distros. in general Ubuntu 20.04 has battery drain issue compared to windows 10 and 11. still now there is no fix. There is should be peace of mind after installing any OS and ready to get into work instead we need to fixing each problem due to OS. still Linux Yet to mature. but who going to give that maturity ?
Zorin is great for both beginners and regular users. I just wonder what's gonna happen with the project as other big Distro/projects have been making statements about switching from GNOME (because of libadiwata) and I haven't seen any official statement by the Zorin team yet.
@skuggbannad If your sound problem was common nobody would ever use Zorin. Linux have this kind of problems when it comes to very specific hardware. Solutions are usually easy to find in the forums. In the end nearly all of them are the same OS - fork of Debian or more common fork of a fork - Ubuntu based. The main difference is the various desktop environment and the skin. Zorin is just as good as the rest of the non specific distros for daily use pc.

hi .. i could proudly call you the Zorin Gru ji !!🙏 i need some assistance in unlocking a "may be" BitLocked drive. the story goes as follows : i am using an acer nitro 5 a515-58, with 1 x 2th m.2, which was partitioned as 1tbx 2. the bootable win 11 was on the one partition. the other 1 tb for data & music & 500 gb ssd for Zorin. every thing was working very well & my laptop lost its charge & slept. i switch it on but no luck ... even the "Acer" sign did not come on & neither could i go into F2 ( BIOS ) nor the F12 to see / change the bootable. infact if the 2 tb drive was in the machie, it did not start. i took the laptop to Acer & they removed the drive. we tried to connect it to another machine externally .. no luck & we tried to connect to my MacBook Air M1 ..still no luck .. how could i make this ssd work ? is there a way around in linux ??
First thing is, BEWARE! I tried to put Linux on my Acer Aspire and it was a disaster! I put the distro on my Ventoy USB and then booted from it. The installation process started, and I checked the erase disk and install Zorin on the disk. The process continued my hard drive was erased as expected, and finally it reached the end and prompted me to restart and remove the installation media. As soon as it restarted, I got the error; "No Bootable Device". Meantime my hard drive was wiped I did not have Windows anymore and Zorin was apparently never burned to the hard drive because I cannot boot up with it. So I am without an OS and have no bootable media for Windows 11. Thanks so much.
For some reason, changing dns from automatic to any other is preventing me from opening any website. I use my institute's LAN so maybe they have implemented some setting to prevent changing dns.

Dude says "I'm not gonna tell you to change your wallpaper" and ends up telling us to change our wallpaper
Did you solve the drain?
for me after instaling zorin os actualy all was fine after doing this tweeks all started lag :D
First!!!!!
Lol I didn't think that I'll comment something like this but yeah😂😂
First On First :p
Zorin is great for both beginners and regular users.
I just wonder what's gonna happen with the project as other big Distro/projects have been making statements about switching from GNOME (because of libadiwata) and I haven't seen any official statement by the Zorin team yet.
Could you please elaborate?
@skuggbannad That's a you problem, not an everyone problem. I use Zorin on an old Acer tablet from around 2015 and the sound works just fine.
WOW This video is amazing, I love Zorin. Way better than Mint or POP OS. You rule dude
Show us a video on how to play bluray discs in Linux, something that actually works. Thanks!!!!
Thank you for your amazing video❤, I have a question, Currently I'm in china if I change DNS to google DNS will it work smooth? Bcz google services are banned in china . Thank you .
Can you do some like this, but for manjaro??? like: 20 Things You MUST DO After Installing Manjaro
hi ..
i could proudly call you the Zorin Gru ji !!🙏
i need some assistance in unlocking a "may be" BitLocked drive.
the story goes as follows : i am using an acer nitro 5 a515-58, with 1 x 2th m.2, which was partitioned as 1tbx 2. the bootable win 11 was on the one partition.
the other 1 tb for data & music & 500 gb ssd for Zorin.
every thing was working very well & my laptop lost its charge & slept.
i switch it on but no luck ... even the "Acer" sign did not come on & neither could i go into F2 ( BIOS ) nor the F12 to see / change the bootable. infact if the 2 tb drive was in the machie, it did not start. i took the laptop to Acer & they removed the drive.
we tried to connect it to another machine externally .. no luck & we tried to connect to my MacBook Air M1 ..still no luck ..
how could i make this ssd work ?
is there a way around in linux ??
I love transparent windows effect. Does it support such? Like in Windows 7 and 11?

Wow the only thing I am not doing is installing Chrome, but other than that AMAZING video
soo goooood video! realy
Do you have a video on how to get the network to work? I need that first Please! Don't know why that wasn't included in the install?
सर क्या zorin os मे RT809 PROGRAMMER का setup useकर सकते है क्या???
Do you still stand by zorin 2 years later ? Thank you for the reply
For some reason, changing dns from automatic to any other is preventing me from opening any website. I use my institute's LAN so maybe they have implemented some setting to prevent changing dns.
Thanks for "Preload" 👍

Does anyone have any recommendations on clear crisp fonts i can use for desktop, interface etc... The defaults are ok, but I was looking for something more sharp and clear. Thanks!! Awesome channel!!!!!!!!!
I installed it- and loved it... added kde- and hated that--- so I'm RE-installing it FRESH today--- I can watch my security cam apps on it-- without my phone- and SO much more!!! I even like the work on it-- and I hate regular G-nome.... but this one is different.. and I installed the POP shell for TILING and i'ts PERFECT--- beautiful, fast, slick- and just WORKS. NOW_ I had ONE issue Maybe YOU can help me with. The BASH terminal can't find anything. I do "Sudo apt install......" and it comes back with "unable to locate package"-- no matter what. Now I did get it to install the POP shell later-- but tried several things and it won't do it. IDEAS????
