Good Video, it will help many beginners. I did notice that you used rsync with timeshift instead of btrfs(because you didn't used the root as a sub volume during installation). A future follow up video would be great regarding this.

One of the problems I face with Linux is the unavailability of Drivers. Few years back, I made a switch from Windows 10 to Ubuntu 18.04 and saw a significant improve in the performence. Later I upgraded it to Ubuntu 20.04. Although the performance increases, my Wifi and Bluetooth card stopped working. Now I'm using an Ethernet cable. Trivial things like this matters a lot in terms of long term. I hope the community finds some solution.
I don't think you'll face any problems like that in Fedora. I had the same problems then too, which was the reason I checked out other distros (of which Fedora out-of-the-box worked for everything I've connected).
Because timeshit only supports a VERY specific formate of BTRFS, one that fedora doesn't use by default, timeshare BTRFS won't work until you tweak it before or after install
@@LinuxTex Fedora actually talked about a few features that they'd be bringing to their OS, one of which would be "Factory" reset which would reset everything to before the reset was done, like on Android, and possibly snapshots also for backups (which they talked about here: th-cam.com/video/8YnDMB1XS_E/w-d-xo.html ). I don't know if they'd use Timeshift specifically, but either that or a similar feature is at least slated for the next release, Fedora 35.
Do all of these operations or just install the KDE Plasma spin and get majority of things out from the box + 10000 tons of system customization settings as bonus. Thank you very much for this information. Many useful apps and custom things.

That's because you're running NVIDIA Proprietary Driver. For now you can either do these two: - Uninstall NVIDIA Drivers (safer method). - Enable Wayland for NVIDIA (not as safe, but should be fine for GNOME): rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA#Wayland . - Enable "X11 Gestures" (I can't guarantee it would work): extensions.gnome.org/extension/4033/x11-gestures/ BACKSTORY: Basically NVIDIA guys acted pretty shittily, not implementing a graphics interface to run on Wayland for themselves (Intel and AMD has already implemented it), which ended up with newer distros unable to enable Wayland by default for their distros, including PopOS and Manjaro. Wayland was the reason why you were able to use gestures.

The nvidia driver is a must because of the inbuilt fan control. And it‘s really fast.

I use Manjaro Gnome because all of these issues are really done and fixed. Manjaro also has better hardware/software support compared to Fedora.

My DNFDragora application doesn't work. Just pulls up "Python3" in the activities window. I let it run for several minutes, nothing happens.
