    Love it! Very well thought out. With only a few small mods, that same set up, would also work on the ice!!

    I Like that setup. I’m prolly gonna use the ice bundle with a summit shuttle in a similar way.

    Interesting video. I have not needed to do this, but am considering it now as I have a spare 1022 and blackbox with transducer. I like the idea, but probably would just put a longer screw in my battery like I have now and use gator clips with no switch. The only time you need to turn it off and on is when you start fishing so the on/off switch might not be needed for me that is. Good job and great explanation.

    Great job i just emailed Russel Marine and asked the same questions. I too have 3 boats a jet ranger and sons boat and want to use it on those 3 if needed. What model depth finder did you buy? Is there a more current one? I get confused on all the models. I have never used front facing live scopes. Is there a Max Depth the Garmin live scopes will show or work? Reason i ask is we do a lot of jigging for Lake Trout. For power could you go into the Light Pole area in the bow? Any do or donts or changes now? Best Sonar unit? I use my jet boat in the river a lot. Does Live scope work good in a current situation? Thanks for putting this video together I thought i would google it and you came up first. Any idea what total cost was for the complete set up? I am thinking this forward facing sonar makes an avg fisherman and more than avg fisherman? Thanks

      Thanks for watching the video! I had a whole long answer typed in here and it disappeared somehow...anyway, here goes again. I paired the panoptics with the Echomap UHD 93sv touch. Wish I could afford a larger screen, but this unit works well. The box with Dakota Lithium 12 V 23 ahr battery is working great! I have not made any changes since this video aired other than adding a ram ball to the plano box so I could use the setup for ice fishing. there are many options to power the unit...just make sure the connection is secure (bow light socket of cig lighter socket would both work. You could also wire direct (with fuse) to the boat battery and use quick connects on the ends of the wires. Forward view would probably work for lakes but down view will be the best at depth. Total cost of DL Battery $250 (i see they are $230 now), pole (fishfindermounts.com ~$150), Plano box ~$30 (amazon), switch, wires and connectors ~$15. So, like $450 without the Garmin stuff. To find all the compatible Garmin head units go the garmin.com and search for Panoptics. On that page you should see a link to "compatible units". This will take you to a huge list. I'm sure her is a better unit than the one I am using...I haven't looked because I'm not in the market. This sonar has not increased my fishing skill but it has made me a more efficient angler. Thanks again and good luck! Jordan Weeks

    I have a few of those Plano 1612 good idea Maybe the Lithium Battery and charger all in the 1612 Plano box would be best. Would you be able to send a pic of the mount which you use for the alum ducer pole? Mount in a rod holder? Unless you made a video on that as you mentioned? Thanks

      I did make a pole mount video. If your questions aren't answered after watching it please let me now. I have the Panoptic black box and a Dakota Lithium 12V 23ahr battery inside. It makes the entire setup super easy to move from boat to boat. Thanks!

    How long do you think the 12v 23ah Dakota lithium battery would run a Garmin GPS 1022? Or do you think i should i go with the 12v 30ah? Nice work on the portable box!

    • @B.A.P.
      @B.A.P.  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jacob. The 23ah will power my 93uhd over 12 hours of continuous use. I think it would be similar for the 1022. Thanks for watching!

      I don't know on the Dakota, but the 30 ah Lithium by Amped Outdoors ran my 1022 for 2 full days of fishing. I moved to the 1222 and fish all day without a problem. If you have not bought a battery yet, I would look at Amped Outdoors. The entire thing cost me just over $200 with the charger which is much less than the Dakota. Just a thought.

    What is the mount for your screen? Looks like mounted on the tie up bracket?

    • @B.A.P.

      I have it mounted on a Ram Mount. Size "C". I put multiple bases around my boat and have a couple that can clamp on.

      Hi. Thanks for watching. My Dakota lithium came with a charger, but I wanted a waterproof charger so I got a NOCO genius 2 Amp charger. However, if I could do it over I'd get the NOCO 5 Amp single instead! My 2 amp charger won't fully charge in 10 hours, the 5 amp would! Good luck!

    I am not an electrician either lol I have a question ,, may be dumb one's so bear with me ,, Oh ,, let me say here ,, great video and idea ,, so ,, you called it a negative wire ,, I am guessing that is a ground wire for the black box ,, where do you have that connected to ?

    • @B.A.P.
      @B.A.P.  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ground wire for the box and the negative wire from the power chord are both connected to the negative terminal of my battery. Thanks for watching!!!

      @@B.A.P. Humm ,, what do I know ,, I have some friends setting up my Pan Optix & my 94SV when I get it ,, should be here Friday ,, I have the 94SV already ,, just seems odd to run the ground wire for the black box to the battery ,, seems like it would have to be connected somewhere else on the boat ,, I am going to have to check into that a bit more ,, I will try and get my hands on that ammo box or something like it ,,
      I really don't want to move my Pan Optix from one boat to another ,, but I do want to remove it from my boat at night ,, I know I know I can just remove the Pan Optix cable to do it ,, but doing it the way you have ,, would make it a lot easier on my friends installing the whole system ,, they want to run wires under the boat decking ,, they know what they are getting into doing that ,, but I really don't think they know lol
