So realistic. For sure builds confidence , inspires people to get the energy to get up and be on stage. I really like the quote " Don't get over it, Get used to it.

Brilliant delivery of the core message: Avoidance minimizes exposure, which only increases anxiety.
Make the component that intimidates you most routine to reduce its influence and enable you to focus on more compelling thoughts.

I love how Anwesha combines her love of scary movies, neuroscience and public speaking to explain stage fright. I’m doing my best to live in the arena and not let fear hold me back and she is an inspiration!

Excellent presentation. I speak in front of large groups at work 3-4 times a week. Virtually no one will get up and speak because they are scared to death. The way I see it is; if all of them are afraid and I am the one speaking; by default, I am in a dominant position. This has translated to higher pay and privileges. I am so grateful to the people I speak to that I sincerely care about each and every one of them. I never put anyone on the spot or expose anyone. I come with love to deliver quality to my coworkers every day.

This video's got a good message. There really is no way around stage freight, just embrace the fear and get used to it.

I am not surprised coming from Anwesha.. so clear, generous, and powerful as usual. . " One thing I realize ...If I want to move ahead in life
I can not avoid public speaking... " communication is everything.. really pleased to know you are still commited to deliver this message since we enjoy and learn from you all of those days at the Richardson Evenings Toastmasters.. in Texas.. all the best Anwesha.. Namaste.

I have a mentor. I’m not a special person with a special degree or experience other than some 3 years in the military before getting disabled. My mentor is pushing me to follow my dreams. One of them is to be a motivational speaker, another is to play music with and for others, another is acting. They all require learning how to deal with fear. The military messed me up physically and mentally but I’m overcoming it all by preserving and having hope. I looked up “stage fright” because I realized it wasn’t just on the stage but when I procrastinated doing a task or performing a responsibility. The same fears were present. Your video is the best I’ve seen so far. And I’m making notes and quoting you in my notes because one day I’m going to have you as one person to thank for my “getting out there!” Thank you for bringing so much of yourself to this speech. Your personality made the message so much easier to digest.

Wowwww this is fabulous. Many many congratulations - that was indeed a terrific talk; excellent hand use for communication and owning the stage, and how amazing and easy examples you have used to communicate differences between amygdala and basal ganglia. As a scientist also you seem to be on the top of your game, Superb👌👌👌👌👌! Keep it up!

You're one of the sweetest girls in the world!. It was the most perfect, most realistic, honest motivation I've ever watched. That's how I beat it!: Constantly confronting the feared thing makes you immune to fear!. Think of the day you first drove and went out on the street! your hand is like your arm!.that's it!thanks!.

I had stage fright in the middle of a speech and felt like I had an injection of adrenaline, it was a nightmare. But 2 years into my career I spoke in front of crowds of 100 to 200 people regularly and never gave it a 2nd thought.
    Never understood what had changed.
