    Wow seeing so many comments about side effects after surgery makes me glad I’m giving keto a try before attempting surgery.

    People who are thinking of having this procedure should try keto and keto chow beforehand. It could save them from a lifetime of complications. Thanks for the video.

      @michaelvarney. the bypass hasn't permitted me to live 25 years. My way of life and eating clean nutrition has. This was just a tool, and 25 years ago, most information wasn't as clear and simple as now. Thank you for your comment. ♥️

    I had RNY in 2013 and did well lowest weight in 2015 but went back to SAD and gained a lot back until Jan 29, 2020 when I started keto. I now weigh less that 2015 but have tons of absorption issues. If we only knew keto back then. 🤷‍♀️💜

    Thanks for having Lisa on. As someone who has also had GBS and did everything to keep off the over 100 lbs i lost. There came a point my body rejected the way i was nutritionally living which was WAY better and cleaner than before surgery. Plus I was very active. I began dealing with a lot of digestive issues. I felt very loss between my bariatric doctor and the gastroenterologist. No one could help me. I had to figure it out on my own and it took years before I was able to heal my gut with Keto. I wish i had Keto Chow back then. I wish I knew about Keto back then. There is a community of us out there that has just gotten lost in the doctors mentality of "typical patients that put it back on after 10 years" when there are some real issues they need to look at. Some of us did everything to keep it off and the foods and SDA way of eating failed us....as did our doctors. Thank God for the keto community like Dr. Berry, Miriam and Chris at Keto Chow and many others now we can fill in the gap and learn about healing our bodies through the proper human diet.

    I love that you did this. I am post 2004 gastric bypass roux en y. I didnt lose a single ounce of weight with surgery but did lose ability to absorb so keto chow helps me as well. I started low carb 2019 and have lost 130lbs with 3 -5 to go. But I can relate to her alot with malabsorbtion. If I could go back in time… no gastric bypass. She sounds so much like me. Thank you miriam

    I had RNY gastric bypass in 2007. I weighed in at just under 300, lost about 90 within a year. Then, after eating the foods they recommended, (whole grain pastas, breads, brown rice, etc), I put most back on. I started Keto in September 2020, have lost 103 lbs. I definitely incorporate Keto Chow in my eating plans. I love most of them, thank you Miriam and Chris!!
    I so totally agree with this lady, I would never have had the bypass done had I known and tried Keto. Due to the surgery, I have developed hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia. Since Keto, I have zero episodes of this. Keto Chow has definitely not caused these episodes either!

      I had RNY in 2019. I am on carnivore but it's hard to eat a lot of meat. Do you also eat meat???

    • @cindydemanche3839
      @cindydemanche3839 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@debv9794 Yes I do eat meat, mostly meat. I can usually get in about 100 grams of protein in two meals, taking my time to eat each meal. I would love to get a few people together on a livestream to talk about our experiences with RNY. Are you interested?

    • @debv9794
      @debv9794 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I may be interested. I am kind of shy but would definitely consider it. So 100 grams is not a lot. I can sometimes eat a little more than that depending on the meat that I eat. I think that is why it is tough. Often I get hungry at night. I usually will eat cheese.@@cindydemanche3839

    I had RNY and I do not regret it. But I had only lost 65lbs in a year (needed to lose another 80) by sticking to my doctor's diet plan. I then started keto one year after my surgery and the weight started flying off. I have done keto before RNY and after RNY and I can tell you that you lose weight MUCH faster with keto after RNY surgery and it's also way easier to stick to (less appetite, no carb cravings, etc). Unlike the guest in this video, I do recommend RNY for people who want dramatic & permanent weight loss, but only in conjunction with a keto diet (especially if you are insulin resistant). But the issue of vitamin and mineral malabsorption is a lifelong challenge, so it's something to consider if you want to deal with that added challenge or not.

    I had lap-band surgery in 2007. Had I known about Keto and Keto Chow then, I would have never had the surgery. It was a complete failure. After I changed to the Keto/PHD lifestyle, I lost over 100 lbs. and am down 5 sizes in clothes! I love the Keto Chow shakes and especially using the Ninja CREAMi to make ice cream!

    I had the gastric sleeve 13 years ago and I feel exactly the same. I wish I had done keto before having the surgery. I gained 45 pounds over the last few years and then started keto. Now I am looking for a way to eat enough and get absorbable vitamins. I will try Keto Chow to help with the vitamins.

    Keto Chow is awesome. My other half takes all kinds of vitamins and I don't anymore. I make him a Keto Chow shake every night for him to drink in the morning. At least I know he's at least getting 1/3 of what he needs. I do electrolytes but he won't. I also got a Creami and he will have Keto Chow. I wish he would eat the ice cream every night.

Developed extreme GERD and was converted to RNY 3 months ago and am only down 13lbs with the carb filled suggested diet. Full of gas and i feel weak. I know I MUST to Keto as my permanent lifestyle.
