I've never left a commentary on a TH-cam video ever before, but here goes.)
After watching Apetor's channel for a while this is my favorite video by far. I especially enjoy the characters shown - the dog and the owner. The contrast between the wild and spontaneous behavior of a playful animal versus the more vocal and reserved attitude of a human. The "crazy" gesture after the dog jumps after the stick is a great touch - the owner makes fun of his weird dog, but at the same time Tor himself pokes fun at his crazy stunts.
I think a lot of people find Apetor's videos enchanting because of a certain split that each of us encounters and feels. The direct, emotional and somewhat naive approach of living in a moment on one hand - and a grown-up, strict and intellectual view on life. Some people never grow past the spontaneity, while others get so involved with their more serious personas. It takes some experience and a bit of wisdom to be able to enjoy both.
Apetor is a wild-card of sorts - a man balancing between the worlds. He presents the viewer with a wacky character, that performs all sorts of silly things while drinking Vikingfjord vodka and bearing cold as if it was nothing. But behind the scenes you see all the camera work and montage, intelligence, healthy humor, attention to details and care towards nature - the birdhouses and the names of plants and places carefully included with every opportunity. These videos make you laugh at all the shenanigans - and then make you think about what this life is really all about.)

I think a lot of people don’t realize that you have to jump in that water a couple of times to record all the different camera angles and shots 🤣
This video is old, but I well remember recording it. I went back to the island where it’s filmed, four or five days in a row, because I was not satisfied with the shootings. I was in the water maybe 20 times. But it was not winter, it was autumn. Not warm, but not icy water😊
