Thank you so much, Prof. Brad Boswel for conducting this interesting interview with Prof. Travis W. Proctor about his last book “Demonic Bodies and the Dark Ecologies of Early Christian Culture.” The subject of demonology has not been researched much among specialists in Patristic Studies, nor has its connection to the ecological question. In this sense, the approach on which this book is based makes it the first comprehensive study of these issues. The two hypotheses put forward throughout the book are very original: on the one hand, that Christian demonological constructs took shape in relation to the various anthropological conceptions circulating in early Christianity, and on the other hand, that ancient demonologies provide us with the opportunity to reflect on how early Christians conceived of their 'dark' ecological connections with malevolent entities, and how these connections related to nature, thus contributing to the formation of Christian cultures. Again, thank you very much for this important contribution to contemporary Patristic Studies!"
