Rui Costa barely put a foot wrong in this game, Figo may have won a Ballon D'Dor but Rui was the best Portuguese player of his generation. At his peak I rate him higher than Xavi/Iniesta. Unfortunately he rarely reached the heights and expectations once he arrived at Milan. One of the best '10s' of his era.👍🏽
@@regista9515 There could have been several factors, higher expectations with a big team(Milans most expensive transfer), change of environment, also age(30) and the arrival of Kaka later.

@@regista9515 Your English is fine👍🏽. As for why he didn't leave Fiorentina earlier? Really good question...its hard to say. But one thing is that he was loyal to the Viola, maybe that cost him. And at their peak they were actually competitive.

Very elegant player, an amazing playmaker. He looks like Pirlo but faster. Obviously Pirlo was better but Rui Costa has an equal potential, same talent
Hm, Rui was a better dribbler and more dynamic (ran more and faster), but Andrea was the better passer and slightly more composed. Tough call, but although Pirlo is one of my 4 favourite players of all time, Rui is still SO underrated in my eyes.
@@bcbitchkkv i agree. We have even to admit that Pirlo played at high level much more longer than Rui. But i understand that even Rui at his top form was comparable or even a bit better than players like xavi, Iniesta, pirlo, modric, de bruyne and others legendary midfielders. Rui Costa was an incredible, a monster assist man.
