Our Norcold 1210 was not working on AC. LP would turn refrigerator on, but not cooling very well. We ran the diagnostic test just like you showed. Downloaded the service manual too. At first we heard no reaction from the refrigerator and saw no change in temp on either LP or AC. We turn the refrigerator off and went out to eat. When we came home, hours later, I turn the refrigerator back on AC, and we went to bed. When we got up in the morning the refrigerator was registering 38 degrees on the panel and my freezer was making ice cubes. I believe following your instruction in this video and then turning the unit off for several hours, and turning it on and running during the night reset and fixed what ever was wrong with it. Just like you say in the video, "these refrigerators are like voodoo". Thank you!!!

I added some high level notes in my description text you might want to take a look at to help better understand how the thing works. It's brief but to the point if you didn't know already. Ours started heating up last night to 35 but was back to 23 this morning and nothing had been done. Go figure. All I can say is keep monitoring that fin temp. and take action if/as needed. We're lucky that we have a toy hauler and actually bought a small residential fridge and keep it in back as a backup now, all before making this video and really getting into trying to figure out what to do.
You don't know how much I appreciate you demonstrating your video, heck had camper full year and wondered why doesn't it display temperature, thought oh well just old camper! This video helped me out thanks so much, I snowbird for 5 months a year and it seems about once durning that time the refrigerator starts to warm and wont cool properly. I re-level and tried your process and in a 4 hours the refrigerator was at 36 degrees and the fins were cold again. When i travel and move every few days I don’t have this problem so I think it proves that performing this procedure is resetting the electronics. Thanks and I will share with other RVers that have the same issue.
My Norcold was freezing well, but the fridge struggled to get 50 degrees. I followed your procedure and now the fridge reaches 23 degrees at setting #7 on an 85 degree day! Looks like I'll have to run at a lower number now. THANKS!

Thank you!! The Manuel Link you provided is wonderfuL! IT's crazy they do not supply us with this full Manuel upon purchase or at least a weblink for it! So thanks so much! We went to page 73 section 9 like in your notes above and we were able to see all the fault codes and what they meant. Nothing was the culprit so hopefully after doing your suggestion the fins will start to go down. We are at 29-30 and our thermostat is reading 43 degrees. So we need to get it lower. Earlier today we found we had a broken fan in the back of the fridge. We ordered another but won't be here for a couple days. We are going to try to add a fan as well, we only have 2. We had a fan below trying to suck out the hot air but it was off so we turned that back on and hopefully tomorrow all these things will help a bit till we get the new fan installed. Earlier We did try moving the thermistor over a couple fins like someone else suggested but didn't seem to make a difference. Thanks again for your video and all the info provided! We really really appreciate it! TH-camrs are awesome!! Fingers crossed tomorrow morning the fin temps are down a bit. But great to know about the fin temp display, we have it up on the display now and I think we will also be leaving it up and our indoor wireless sensors in hottest corners of fridge and freezer. I have a 1210 the freezer works ok but the fridge stays in the mid 50s. Another you tube channel said to disconnect the thermistor in the fridge that attaches to the fins and see what happens after 24 hours. I did this and sure enough the next day I was in the mid 30s. I replaced the thermistor and now it works great. I also placed baffles on my top slide exhaust per Daren on RVWORKS. And installed fans to the grill.
I’m having the same issue. I check the omhs resistance for the thermistor and everything looks according to the temp. Now I’m thinking I need to change the fans. Idk how it will affect the temp inside since those fans are outside
Very informative. I'm on my first norcold after 3 dometics. Trying to figure out why fridge will get to 33° but freezer hovers around 16° on setting 9. My earlier models would get to 4°- 6°. I've noticed that the two external fans aren't running so I'll do reset and check again. Thanks again.

My control panel lights up but when I press the buttons, nothing happens and nothing changes. I have a older norcold N510. it wasn't cooling so I moved the sensor up on the fin inside. Now it's too cold. Fridge 29° freezer 7°
Should we expect that an error code would automatically display? Mine has not displayed an error code. Besides being able to clear all error codes I would like to know the reason for the malfunction.
Has anyone got the ER code in part 6 of diagnostics? I’ve checked all the screens and there are not other codes or faults . This worked a few times but now it won’t
Mine never gives me an error code, I just turn off and back on when I see temperatures starting to rise in fridge, I just keep digital thermometer on shelf and look at it every time I open fridge. This works most of the time, if it does not you need to defrost and let fridge sit for awhile before restating.
The reset procedure worked just fine on mine, but about a week later the same problem, then it resets as in your procedure. Have you determined what is causing this issue? If so, what is the permanent fix?
46 refer temp? NO. It should be 32 or so. Remember, that is temp of those fins in the back which create the cold air. The actual box temp will probably be 33 - 35
Thanks again for the video. Is there a fan anywhere that could also not be blowing cold air through the fridge? My freezer works, but the fridge is 57 degrees. Changed the thermistor too. Just seems like there should be a fan, but I'm not finding one anywhere in the unit or in the back. Thanks.
Thanks for your video! I replaced the thermistor a few days ago and the unit just won't cool in the fridge. The freezer is super cold. Went through the procedure and the temp displayed was 57! I did the same. The Thermistor's threshold is set too high. had to bypass the thermistor for the my fridge to work, now it gets too cold

After going thru the steps, then going to page 3, mine shows 00. What does that tell me?
