Keep and enjoy your cars man, people that are always looking to trade up, improve, expand will never be satisfied and appreciate what they have. I think the hunt and the dopamine hit of getting a new car is more valuable than the ownership for some.
Never trade up to the same car, only newer. Take it from me, who over the years, traded up to the newer version of the same car…it doesn’t make you any happier. After a month of ownership, it’s “just your car”. It’s a total waste of money. In the past, I went from a 2002 E46 M3, to a 2003 E46 M3, to a 2004 E46 M3. Talk about stupid. I went from a manual, to SMG, back to a manual. What a dumb move. When it comes to cars, I’m an addict. I have to have the latest and greatest. Fortunately I was smart enough to set up what I called my “Car Fun(d)”. I put away money strictly to buy/mod my cars. II always kept the fund big enough to pay cash for my cars. I’ve been fortunate enough to never had a car payment. For everyone to know…don’t copy me. It’s not worth the trouble. I find myself buying a new car and within weeks, I’m planning my next car. In the last 25 years, I’ve gone through 10 new BMW’s with now a 2024 M2. I’ve ditched my car fund so I’m not tempted to buy more cars and planning to keep this M2 for 10 years. My advice…buy yourself a nice car and ride out the depreciation. Take good care of the car and keep it clean. Your trade-in in the future will be so much greater with a well kept car. Enjoy the drive! PS…I’m not a big fan of electric cars. They may be faster and cleaner, but give me an internal combustion engine always. I’ve been driving for 60 years but when I’m in the M2, I’m 16 again and I will be the “old man” who will blow your doors off at a red light when it turns green. I’ve been racing my cars on most all the West Coast tracks from Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA down to Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA for over 35 years. They’ll never take away my keys until they find me dead in the driver’s seat.
Ordered mine during march, and recently received the 2024 m2 around 3 days ago! So far really nice and honestly would not trade it for just a slight bump up in power.
The Vegas red is a super wack version of the Toronto red.. it’s a x40i color in my opinion, it’s not an M color to me. The colors to get are Toronto Red, the 2 frozen colors, and then black, maybe the blue one if you plan on doing aftermarket wheels.
Keep it!! I was going to get a new 2025 M2 but ended up going with a preowned 2023 Toronto red for a steal it’s a great color you can no longer get. I think it will be highly sought after just like the nitrous yellow supras
Keeping my 23. The 25 isn't enough of an improvement to justify the $$ I'd lose if I trade up. Even though I only have 2k miles on my 23 Toronto red 8sp auto.
@fzr1000981 depends on the lighting. Would've rather had that new Vegas red that is now available but wasn't doing black again . Not a fan of the Z blue
I just signed to buy 2024 M2. The price diff from the LCI is about USD 7K so I decided to buy the current model. I know iDrive 8.5 , flat bottom wheel and slight power bump is good have , not must have to pay such extra. I will pick up mine by end of this month. My guess is the power bump is the ecu change so it will run a bit hotter.
Yours is fast enough, maybe the bhp is the same. They under declare and nvr tune. Just paper chg in value for marketing then realise it does not matter so type in the actual bhp this round…. U might need a 0-100 drag race to see.
I agree with you about the gray color. It’s disappointing that BMW is going to offer two grays for 2025, but no silver. I love the silver wheel option. You’re spot on about not being able to see black wheels. I hate them. I think they got popular because people got sick of cleaning brakes dust off of silver wheels.
Agree with you on just about all your opinions. Love tan/natural leather, too. I’d have my eye on the ‘25/‘26 upcoming M2 CS with 500 plus hp. That will be epic! BMW sandbags their hp figures, so does Porsche… Cheers/B
twilight purple would be cool but I like my Toronto red and you can’t get it anymore in 2025. CS is also unlikely to have a manual option. Only reason to trade for a 2025 imo is if u don’t have the buckets
The extra power comes from a remap, so there is no reason to get a 2025. Simply tune it... However, the car needs better traction to put all that power down. I'd like to see a Xdrive version. Maybe in a competition version? Do a little weight reduction to balance the added pounds from the xdrive!
These are holding their value annoyingly well. A 2023 with low miles cost the same as a brand new 2025, I don’t get it. I am forced to get the 2025 basically.
You saw when you did a rolling start with an M3 or M4 comp x-drive that you were pretty much dead even. The M2 is putting out over 500 hp. I think the 2025 M2 will have the same quarter mile time and speed as the 2024 M2. All the Dyno videos showed 475 hp at the wheels for the M2. With an 8% drivetrain loss you are looking at close to 520 hp. The 453 hp rating is a joke.
Even if the new M2 actually is faster, it’s just not worth a trade up. There aren’t enough scenarios in life when that difference is gonna matter enough to warrant spending thousands. Also, I hope your dealership isn’t affected by the CDK ransomware attack. Man, that shit seems rough.
Mods aren’t worth it and every time I see a content creator getting denied covered repairs by bmw because of mods I love it because it’s like bro how dumb are u to get mods
Bro, if you get a tune it's going to be the same whp as a m4 competition, the s58 in the m2 is exactly the same it's just de-tuned from the factory. You'll waste your money trading it in.
The G87 is objectively better than the F87 in every way, it looks better, it’s more aggressive and mean, it’s a better engine by far and it’s interior is way better. The F87 was a fake M, it looked very girly and very dainty, it was a 1 series. It was a good car but it doesn’t compare with the G87 to me. The G87 is a real M car, it’s got the engine, the interior and the performance, and it’s not sitting on golf cart wheels and tires with girly body lines.
Thank you for saying that bro!! Superficial mods are ok but anything that even might interfere with your warranty aren’t worth it buy the car you want don’t go and make it a ghetto piece of crap
Trade it, trade it, trade it!!.... you don't do this channel to make smart money choices with cars....OBVIOUSLY. Once you have a nagging wife and needy kids, then MAYBE you can start being smart with the car purchases, or not.
@@JVette01 True, it’s just the new steering wheel, seat highlights, and way better factory stock wheels, and the little power bump that would just make me upgrade, but power difference determining the upgrade choice…. might not be worth it tbh
Keep and enjoy your cars man, people that are always looking to trade up, improve, expand will never be satisfied and appreciate what they have. I think the hunt and the dopamine hit of getting a new car is more valuable than the ownership for some.
I wouldn’t upgrade until like you said they came out with new revamped model. There’s not much difference right now.
This is true

Thanks for your input. I do plan on keeping this one longer term.
Have you considered the two tone 826M wheels?
They're lighter than your stocks and have just enough contrast to show the wheel design
No I haven’t. I don’t wanna spend a bunch of money modifying stuff when im already happy how it’s

Since no awd on the '25, i will stick with my '24. Having said that, the rwd 23/24 might very well be the sweetspot for this car. Time will tell.

Im waiting to see what the CS version is gonna have to offer. Only thing I’ll trade up for
I have the same one at the dealership waiting BUT I’m debating to decline it and order the 2025 ? Thoughts ?
Get the 2025 at this point! It's definitely worth it if you're in no big rush for a new vehicle imo!
Yeah I’d get the 2025 too if you haven’t taken it yet

Just got my 25 M2 and just love it skyscraper gray black and red interior 😊
Congrats!!
I would wait for the LCI to really see what changes BMW plans to make. The 25 M2 is just a slight update.

Maybe you should get the new 25 RS3 considering how much you love the one you have lol! Just kidding 😂
Definitely not 😂😂
+20hp, Alcántara flat bottom steering wheel key upgrades!! Also voodooo blue best bang for your buck.
Great video!
Thanks!
BMW has always under rated their Hp the M4's are rated at 500hp and I seen guy's dyno at 540hp to the wheels

The M3/4 makes over 500 whp on a dyno....measured numbers are what matters. The M2 is choked off on the top end that's just reality
Double the depreciation seems like a bad idea for little to no change.

True.. and sales not as much as service and parts for CDK
Black wheels look like winter mags for us people here up north..
Depends on your financial circumstances
I would consider it with x drive. Instead im thinking 240/340i

Very nice car. My 24 230i keeps me out of jail.
6:00 they gave it the M3 power as they should have in the first place
Did you finally get a hat clip for the GoPro?!

I literally said this in the video lol I’m well aware
Your cars are great I wouldn't upgrade. Credit hits, new loans, etc never fun
Also it came with Yokohama tires !!! Not happy with that
CS coming next year with about 510 hp. Currently have a deposit on a 2025. You should dyno your 2024
I will eventually
theyre taking orders on those too? any idea what msrp is?
I’d trade for an older one without the TVs on the dash
“I like the old one”
totally with you on
losing the cognac interior
All S58 can have exactly the same power figure with a stage 1 tune regardless of their factory hp rating
Yes, which is why I mentioned that in the video. However, from the factory is warrantied
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t buy a manual M2 if you already have a daily
I have no interest in a manual in a car that performs so well with the automatic.
cognac interior is my fav
No more cognac?, that means my 23 is a rare spec
23 and 24
