I think Riley is guarded when it comes to a discussion regarding her grandfather and her stepfather cause she knows how others can mock these legends.

To be fair, Lisa Marie is the same way. Very serious, not much of a sense of humor - She could just have inherited that trait and not exactly be related to Elvis.

She seems like such a genuinely sweet soul just like her mom. You can tell she was really uncomfortable with the questions, but she remained cordial and affable throughout the interview. That's just a taste of the abuse Lisa Marie experienced from the press over the years. Prayers for Riley and the family going forward. RIP Lisa

Yes, it was very very insensitive the way the guy on the sofa did it. Like blatant. He should've read the room. Feels like everyone always have alot to say about Rileys family and it must be horrible to have people blast her childhood right infront of her. I try to imagine what it would be like if people just made fun of my family in my face. Horrible.

She handled this like a boss! Never understood why they felt it funny to laugh at what was basically her life/ upbringing. Disappointed at them, however much respect to her for holding her head up high. I hope that as she progresses with her career - having recently lost her mother and brother a few years ago - people will show kindness. She seems lovely and deserves to be treated with kindness. Sending condolences to her and the Presley/Keough family. ❤

to be honest this is the most cringeworthy interview of Riley ever. having her sit next to a man who was basically making fun of Michael and she obviously didnt want to go there. him acting surprised that Michael was her stepdad was something else and then having to hear him insert his childhood experiences to hers to see the contrast, i think she was just being polite in answering i bet after the show she didnt even talk to that man.

It was her moment, he made it all about himself.. was he trying to shame her for the good moments in her childhood? Why do Americans act like having money means you don't have any problems? Rileys childhood was not easy. Michael was one of brightest spots in it. It smacked of bitter jealousy and envy.

Billy tried to save Riley from coming off like a fucking cartoon character with glazed eyes and no feet on the ground. She wasn't being interesting, informative, or entertaining. He was trying to help humanize her and she wasn't helping with that. When you are in her position of extraordinary wealth, access, history, legacy, family recognition, etc. you have to be the first to point out the obvious good fortune, unfairness, and absolute luck of birth. Followed up by self-effacing humor. And try to remain human. That is supremely, insurmountably disarming. Then just be yourself.

I wish just for once people would understand that for Riley, this is simply the life she grew up in. If Elvis hadn't hit it big, Riley would probably be a truck driver's granddaughter from Tupelo. If the Jackson 5 hadn't launched Michael into fame he'd probably be a local eccentric living in Chicago near where he grew up. Even people are still just people and that goes even further for their kids and grandkids who knew them as relatives. If I ever came across somebody like that I would make every effort to just be as calm and normal as possible. It does no one any favors to do otherwise.
I think that’s the biggest problem with society when it comes to celebrities or their offspring is that people tend to forget that these “celebrities” are just people!
I remember when Britney Spears was having her meltdown in 06 an I was going through something similar at the time.
All I could think of was thank God that I didn’t have cameras and paparazzi following every move I made. 2006 was a horrible year for me an I can’t imagine how celebrities deal with it on an ongoing basis. I wasn’t particularly a fan of Britney although I do enjoy some of her music.
But my heart just broke for her, it’s bad enough having to deal with life‘s issues but dealing with it on such a public level is something I don’t think most people could handle.
I find it disgusting the way they’re making a joke out of everything! That’s Riley‘s Family not just some public icon! Honestly I wish she wasn’t so nice about it. The two of them needed to be put in their place!

Back in the day Elvis had a chimp named Scatter. Scatter had been in some films I believe. Somehow Elvis took over Scatter's care. Elvis had Scatter for years. Scatter generally had free roam of the house I believe in LA. But one day he went through and tore out the phone lines and some wiring so he had to be caged. Elvis loved that chimp.
See in almost every interview she has to remind everyone and make it clear that she didn't know Elvis it's ignorant

Riley loves Michael and always remembers him in the best way, even when the questions are directed to make her say something strange about him. I remember when she said that in Neverland she felt what a true home was like and she has the best memories of that time.

I became her regular cab driver when she would call me call me back around 2015. She was very cool. She was very normal and down-to-earth but I also had no idea who she was that she was famous. I'm sure she appreciated that to feel normal and not be asked a lot of personal questions. Then one day when she called me to give her a ride I saw her name on the caller ID and commented on her 1st name being Reilly. I still didn't know who she really was. But maybe she figured I now knew who she was. But I didn't her full name did not ring a bell. But in the following weeks I never heard from her anymore. 2 years later I realized who I was driving to places.

My father annoys me by impersonating your grandfather, and I have a friend who dresses up like your grandfather and impersonates him. I listened to your grandpa for a little while when I was younger, and I occasionally still do here and there, but I was never a super fan. Your stepdad Michael Jackson, on the other hand, was my first musical love and my childhood crush! I thought he was cute! I wanted to date him when I was little, LOL! I never got to meet your stepfather, unfortunately, he passed a year after I graduated from high school, and I planned to follow him on what would have been his last tour, after all the media craziness around him died down, but sadly that never happened, After 13 years of being away from him during my first two years of college, and the COVID-19 pandemic, your stepfather came to me in a dream one night, (which started in 2020 and he still comes to me in dreams), he said, "Dara, girl, where have you been? I need you to come back to me and music!" Let's just say after all those years, I am NEVER leaving your stepfather's music EVER again! LOL! RIP Elvis, Lisa Marie, and Michael. I love you and miss you Michael!

i felt super uncomfortable watching this. the sad part is you can tell she’s used to it and is trying to laugh with them and make it a “normal” thing. i understand that it’s exciting to meet someone related to such musical icons but at the same time there’s a point where you have to think of the human side and how you’re making that relative feel. i’m sure she loves her family but i think she probably has that feeling of wanting to prove she’s more than just elvis’ granddaughter and she genuinely is so so so talented and i wish people would focus more on that.

Everyone's hitting on Riley probably do not know her from her acting or seen any of her other interviews. If you've seen even just two or all of her interviews you would know she's very uncomfortable with the media and being i the spotlight.
