Riley started at the very bottom of this business and worked her way up for the last 20 years. And clearly she has the talent to have pulled this off on her own. And she has never used a famous last name, she goes by her father’s name. But perhaps you can start a movement that no one with a famous relative going back for at least five hundred years ever be allowed to work in any field whatsoever.

@@Facetiously.EsotericElvis Presley was a natural talent as an actor, just as he was, at pretty much everything else. He was basically a prodigy, and Riley is, as well. Lisa Marie Presley was a brilliant talent, in her own right, as well. The talent and beauty gene in that family is STRONG. It's actually surprising to me that Riley hasn't already been nominated for an Oscar, or won, quite frankly. She's one of the most naturally talented people I've ever seen, and she is totally unique. and her own performer and person, She has done consistently excellent work since she started acting professionally. I hope she gets a role one day that gets recognized by the Academy with a nomination (and hopefully a win, as well), and ultimately, that more people come to know about her and the range and depth of her talent.

Part of what is special about the both of them is that they both have a sort of "every person" quality about them, but both also possess a high level of talent and intelligence. She has an incredible level of nuance to her work that is so deceptively natural and real, that she doesn't look like she's acting; she looks like she's just existing. I feel like this can be deceptive soemtimes, in that it can sometimes make people think that people are untalented or can't act when it, in fact, is the opposite thing. (Not to get into "actor talk", or anything, however, I speak about all this from my perspective as a professional actor, myself of 20+ years.) She also seems to care deeply about acting and show business (which one can take away from so many interviews she has done - she has been quite thoughtful, eloquent, intelligent, professional, and serious about her work in many interviews I have seen her do), and has worked successfully and steadily for many years now, with the career and work ethic of a journeyman actor, rather than a major star (which she should be, based on her talent). She's definitely in the business for the work, first and foremost, and not for fame or attention.
