- Why is Orisa SO BORING? I played her for 20 hours in COMPETITIVE ONLY to better at her and to see if she needs to be removed!
This video is the 4th in a series where I will play every hero for 20 hours to see if I can master them. I aim to apply the idea that any skill can be learned in only 20 hours. Let's see if this also applies to learning heroes in Overwatch 2!

Fun fact by the end I was so good at her that I could autopilot while taking a quick nap! Had a nice win streak too 😏
@@RauKnowsOW They didn't make her boring they just gutted what made Orisa fun for me. I 100% miss old Orisa. I was a solo Orisa play on Ow1 and I had so much fun. Being able to hold chokes with barrier and popping supercharger for the damage increase and clutching was so satisfying. I still play Orisa but she's more braindead then ever which I hate and hurts as an Orisa main. You know full well of they bring Grav bomb back she's gonna be back on the map. Grav bomb was so useful for getting people out of corners. Capturing pharahs and Mercys and being able to pull people of the map. Combine grave bomb with spear and it's gonna be so satisfying. Not to mention you don't have to fish for ults or just use your ult as a burn space option. Just use your grave bomb to pull enemies close pop ult and get the kill depending on how they rework it.

I like that she ain’t flashy. Just boring brute strength. She is the personification of “move or you will be moved”.
I think that's one of the reasons of why there's so little tank players in relation to dps players, since overwatch 1 mind you, and this is never talked about.
Most people that play overwatch want the "glory" of a flashy play or multykill, tanks aren't for that.
I started playing OW a few months ago. I picked Orisa as my first character simply because I liked the character design, not knowing that playing her would cripple my ability to play anyone else. I actually thought I was good for like a month 😂
I want to see you learn Wrecking Ball as it would be funny.

I just recently tried Orisa for the first time and went from being humiliated by the enemy's Roadhog to consistently killing him. He swapped off but it didn't really help. I think Orisa's fun

Something that me and one of my gaming buds love to do is use orisa’s ult as a combo. For example, I typically main support so what we’ll do is I either go Moira or illari and he’ll use orisa’s ult to “trap” their team so I can murk them. We mainly do it with an illari and orisa combo and we’ve gotten some sweet team wipes with it
100% it’s great for setting up ults same as Zarya ult

Love the video. I'd say if anyone playing orisa runs into an Uber aggressive tank that counter you, bum rushing the healers and denying them tends to throw the odds back in your favor
I recently got into playing Orisa and being annoying as her is one of the best feelings for me
I want to see you use winston. He is one of my mains and i really want to see what else i can learn to improve just like Orisa since its my other main
Watched this and completely made me rethink how I feel about and deal with Orisa. I do however still think the Tank Role is already suffering a lot right now so having a tank dedicated to literally just ruining the other tank's day is just icing on a shit cake but i wouldn't mind it as much if the Anti-Tank meta wasn't going strong.

i love orisa
I've been maining tank since OW1 day 1, I find Orisa boring even despite her identity being exactly how I learned to play tank. Other than a few options example Doomfist, I play every tank similar to Orisa, in that I don't go for anything flashy or kills, I play to keep the space and keep my team alive. The issue I find with Orisa is just, it's an immovable wall that counters everything as long as you're good enough, I don't think counter picking as a core game system should be kept as the game continues, however as is currently it still is and Orisa is playing a different game entirely. This is why I find her boring she has a style of gameplay that makes her the go to Tank pick for when your first pick doesn't work out, no single character should hold the title of "Go to" no matter their role but in recent Overwatch having go to characters in each role has really drawn the life out of it, by extension making it boring. I agree she is a necessary evil to an extent, but I only think that she is an evil cause the rest of the game is not playing the same game, to better explain that statement Orisa is playing a game where counter picking as a mechanic is not appreciated her rework feels like what OW2 should be aiming to do for everyone making it not all purely about counter swapping constantly, but she was changed at launch so no one else is at that stage she is at therefore she is boring.
TLDR; Orisa is boring to me because she is playing a different game where she becomes a go to pick rather than a fun addition, the skill expression in her playstyle I would enjoy if the Tank role was about that expression as a whole instead of one character, as the main mechanic of this game is counter this counter that which I don't find healthy it doesn't change that it's the game currently.

I find orisa to be kinda sad, orisa is by far one of my favorite characters in terms of lore, her design is amazing and I love robots, I have autism so something about her just makes me really like her. But it’s hard to find other people who like her cause they just absolutely hate her, I can’t say I blame them. But it can get a little frustrating.

I disagree with you with the point that you need to counterswap, there are a lots of top in tanks that are gm1/top500 and doesn't swap (ex : chazm, rank 1 on ball) (or Bowie, one of the best rein of the World). Because they are simply better. For example i'm a one trick rein and when the Map isn't favorable to me i adapt my playstyle. When i'm getting countered by a orisa, zen or bastion (yes the Season 6 was horrible for me) i will not swap but play better in consenquence. I'm almost GM (master 2) and i started to play 1 year ago. Everyone can rankup and solo carry on every character if he is better. (Else lifeweaver that is such a Bad character)
The issue is even if YOU adapt playing a subpar tank in a bad situation hurts your team. I agree you can make everyone work but you’re sacrificing other peoples RP and experience if you don’t win

Not in Diamond and up lobbies! She's heavily viewed as boring and people hate playing as/against her
@@RauKnowsOW Well she is annoying, and her move set basically relies on not using all your abilities at once, retreating and charging in like a lynel.
Edit: I can see how this pales to jumping around like Doomfist or assaulting healers like Wrecking ball. Orisa is always frontlines.
@RauKnowsOW I guess those higher ups care too much about making plays for their montages instead of thinking in a strategic way to deny the other tank space

The main thing about orisa is that she requires no skill and is to easy to climb with meaning people get higher up in rank that’s the only one they can play and if it goes wrong the game goes belly up
I heavily disagree with not taking skill but she’s definitely easier to learn than tanks like doom or dva

@@internetbigfoot7083 once again as someone who has learned multiple tanks and hit masters (not flexing just stating peak) Orisa didn’t skip anything I had to learn on dva or JQ. She simply does the job of being a wall yes but as mentioned in the video she requires really good cooldown management at high levels.
Don’t take this as an argument I just enjoy educating :) if someone plays Orisa by standing still, bad cooldown usage, not getting jav value, not playing cover etc she blows up just like any other tank
