    I bought 13 inch M4 iPad 512 GB oy Wi-Fi with glossy finish, and I love it over nano texture. Colour pop-up very nicely on glossy over nano texture.

    You did a great job on reviewing these ipads. You are the only one of many that mentioned the lip on the keyboard to protect the screen (even jerryrigeverything didn’t mention that). Also the only one to mention how the pencil is thicker than the other Pros as well. I appreciate the thorough first-impression review. Subbed.

    Great video, thanks!
    Kind of smart for them to set the backlight to only go on when it's dark. I have a silver laptop with backlighting that's always on and you CANNOT see the key letters at all unless it's dark or you put your face directly over it. They should have at least changed the backlight color to anything but white and that would help too.
    I ordered the 2tb, 13" wifi and cell, with nano glass. It's mainly for aviation as a Kneeboard for me and even if there's overcast outside as a pilot you'll be above it most of the time, haha.
    One note to student pilots to airline pilots is if you get the cell data version there's a hardware upgrade too. It is the only model with the actual GPS chip. Most pilots of general aviation will have an ABS-B for weather and traffic but even using Foreflight an internet connection is needed for updating weather imagery, plus it's great to be able to download updates if you've been grounded for a while.

    I've had mine for a few days now. Personally, I HATE ipad, but the apps I need for music and aviation are apple only. Can't fix no thumbnails on videos (I have about 80 black) and can't even have different sorting options to where the NAMES ARE UNDER THE VIDEOS! Hahaha, but not haha, they couldn't be more behind pc and android if they tried. Just installed a tesla screen in my car and anyone that has iphone cries and cries (because it really just doesn't work because apple is useless with tech). I could list a million issues, but also am a pc tech and prefer to micromanage my folder structure and files, where apple is too afraid to let you do anything.
    Okay, so now that you see my feelings toward them, I now have to say that the nano screen is far better than any video has been able to show. This particular tuber is 1st class all the way and all of his videos helped me decide on what I went with. Probably the only non artist that prefers the nano. The "artists" make people believe that if they're not an artist, they should go for the gloss. To best explain it, it's exactly what I hope it would be and more in how the graphics don't seem to be behind glass. They seem to be right there on top. I see the attraction for the gloss. My 1st gen is, but this is so much better. I know, comparing 1st gen to this? Well, guess what, the PPI is the same. Most visuals, other than brightness, I can set up to be a fair comparison, but again, the glassy screen seems to have the graphics deep under the glass whereas the nano is almost as if it's a scratch and sniff. A few people have been blown away by mine that have said they watched a lot of videos and it just didn't look that good. If apple could grow up and hire people to make a good ios and stop trying to live in the 1800's, they wouldn't go bankrupt again and again, and yes, they will again because they're horrible. I know, you apple peops will argue what you're missing, but I've never seen so many useless apps on an OS due to the platform only as I do with apple. Linux even is far superior and I'm laughing as I type that because it's so very true.. Okay, sorry for the rant, but it's sickens me to have spent $2700 total cost on just my ipad and have it less useful than the android apps I created in a rush over a decade ago.

    • @Graf-XTechReviews
      @Graf-XTechReviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok, so I’m trying to find the actual comment to me that’s buried in this Anti-Apple rant. For the record, the first video I made on this channel was reviewing an E-Ink device running a modified version of Android, so not sure if this is the right place to express Apple hate, but ok. I think I understood correctly and you complimented me for how I showed the nano-texture screen and I’m very thankful for that and very glad that my videos was able to help you to decide. I too find some things limiting about iPadOS and would love to see more freedom especially when it comes to the file management. However, there is just one thing I’d disagree with, and that’s the app situation. Yes, some companies still treat the iPad as a big iPhone and their apps reflect that and I find that annoying, but you even said yourself that you need certain apps that only is on the Apple platform so clearly there are some app advantages here. I’m never against people advocating that Apple and app developers treat the iPad more seriously with more full features apps and more desktop functionality, but I don’t think it’s completely awful and there is still apps that are amazing and I wouldn’t want to live without that no other platform has. Thanks for your comment and thanks again for appreciating my take on the nano-texture!

      Yes, it was meant as a compliment. Didn't proof read to see how disjunct my words were. I apologize for the rant on your video. I spent the last few days joining various forums, groups etc to do what should be simple and honestly just came here to say how blown away I am on the screen. I should have come here first, but instead got consumed with a post I read just before.

      Oh yeah no worries, I was honestly just impressed with how much was written😂 but seriously thanks for the compliment and I completely agree with the screen! Do you use the Apple Pencil with it at all or do you not really have a need for that?

  • @il5083
    @il5083 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What’s your thought on the screen protector? As you mentioned it gave a lot more glare and reflection, less traction for the pencil. But it’s easier to keep it clean.

    • @Graf-XTechReviews
      @Graf-XTechReviews  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah slightly. The tempered glass isn’t a whole lot better than standard glass as far as keeping it clean. I did make a video on screen protectors for the nano texture so definitely check that out, and I’m going to be doing for on screen protector for the standard glass soon! So that’s all I’ll say for now, but more to come!

    • @Graf-XTechReviews
      @Graf-XTechReviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would agree except the weird thing is that at the bottom of Apple’s website where they keep the fine print, the say that the 13” iPad Pro is 13” and the 11” is technically 11.1” and that the 13” iPad Air is actually 12.9”. So since they specified the exact differences for the other one, it would seem that it is just ever so slightly bigger as far as the display goes

    • @melgross
      @melgross 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, it’s not. I measured my wife’s against my M2 (because my 13” with nano hasn’t come in yet). The screen is 1/16” longer in the long dimension and almost that in the short dimension. That does come out to be a tenth inch longer on the diagonal. That can’t easily be measured because of the rounded corners, but I did the math and it works out to 13”. The borders are a bit smaller.

    I still haven’t decided which size to buy 😅. I'm going to use it mostly to write notes, but I also want to watch some series when I'm in bed before going to sleep. Another question I have is that when the iPad Pro is on the Magic Keyboard, it seems uncomfortable to use the Apple Pencil and write notes. Will I need to have two covers, the Magic Keyboard and another cover for a better writing angle? It seems like I would have to remove the iPad from the Magic Keyboard to write comfortably with the Apple Pencil, but that would mean losing some protection. Additionally, I'm worried that removing the iPad frequently could scratch the camera lens or make the iPad unstable due to the camera bump. I think Apple should design the Magic Keyboard to provide better angles for using the Apple Pencil.

    • @Graf-XTechReviews
      @Graf-XTechReviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had the same problem when deciding for myself! Luckily, my business partner wanted one as well so I can now try both sizes. In my heart, I’m an 11” guy and I love how portable that design is and it feels more notebook sizes. But I also love some of the functionalities of the larger iPad screen, so it’s a hard call. I will be doing more in depth comparisons between these two sizes. I also completely agree with your thoughts about the Magic Keyboard. I love the redesign and it’s definitely better, but I do wish it accommodated the Apple Pencil better. With the old keyboard I never had a problem the lens being scratched even when removing it a lot, but I will keep you updated if that remains true. I would probably recommend getting a magnetic folio case for times you don’t want the keyboard and that way your iPad is better protected. Great feedback! Thanks!
