I really like how the risky finish was actually risky for the good players. I wish more COTDs would play like that.
Unfortunately it was a bit too hard. It would have been fun to see it being used successfully in the last rounds. The concept was great though.
I think it was a bit too hard, but I would love to see a risky fin, that even the good players only get 80-90% of the time, so that it is actually risky to go for it.
@@StAngerNo1 I'm sure that's probably better as a player, but as a spectator I much prefer this version. I like it as a risky trick you'd only ever use when way behind to cause upsets rather than just part of the normal route
@@Pikaton659 You cant include a trick only get 80-90% of the time into the normal route, becuase that way you would never win a cup of the day, because you have to do more rounds than it would realistically work. But yeah you could lower it to 70% or so, but this was too risky in my opinion.
I think so too. In COTD the pro only use the save fin if they totaly face planted somehow. This fin here had two things you needed to hit. The perfect flip for the speed and then a tricky direction/angle to aim for. So the potential to realy miss it was there. And I think thats what it missing mostly. Make the risky fin so risky and hard, that its only valuebale to risk if you are on the edge of loosing. An all in move....
Honestly this is peak risky fin for a track. It's gotta be that hail mary throw to comeback from defeat imo
I agree, not the usual TOTD speed check which gets very old
yep, this risky finish feels like a desperate move to catch up rather than "if you don't do it, you lose"
@@GraveUypo yep hate that aspect of TOTD risky fin. It's less of a risky fin and more of a normal fin with the other one being a punishment if you mess up
A risky finish should make you think if you should or not
Having the risky finish being the same finish as the normal one, is a nice bonus. With the pathing being the only difference, it's like a normal shortcut.

I was just watching your vid on the ice track before the ice patch and came to the story about the outdoors thing. I happen to be a scout and had done a Philmont trek. (Look it up) The rest of this is me picking apart what went wrong because my crew was in similar conditions but without the luxury. First is me dying over you getting water from a river without sanitizing the water (but that is usually for drinking) and second which is the whole point of this comment: heat the water only and then add the food after the water is off the stove. The food needs to be maintained and stirred consistently.
But hey nice to know one of my favorite content creators has done something I devote a large part of my life to.
