Yo, for the Deku vs Izuru match up, I remember reading a matchup with a similar ending on DeviantArt. Basically, it took place after a fight with Danganronpa IF, and Mukuro along the rest of class 78 were headed to jabberwock Island. As they arrived, the despairs had already escaped and they fought back against them and Class 1-a. They captured everyone but Izuru, and of course Izuru won, but Deku helped Izuru become Hajime before he killed deku. He gave Hajime one for all, and using his hairdresser talent, hajime removed his hair and got back his ahoge and og hair, and kept one for all.

Monokuma vs korosensei(assasination classroom) Need I say more 3. John doe(unordinary) vs izuru kamakura While I can see why people like deku for izuru The dynamic to me feels insanely wonky do to how their abilities don’t really play off each other While for John I think he fits izuru perfectly as you can have a much more brutal version of Cole cs Alex when it comes to the overall dynamic of the fight But yeah that’s just my silly little opinions
What are your thoughts on junko against the major from hellsing Here’s the connections if you are interested Charismatic, nihilistic and utterly deranged leaders to their own personally corrupted terrorist followers (Millennium and Remnants of Despair), who have reigned unholy levels of carnage and terror upon the world and clashing with an organisation dedicated to combatting the evils of the world that they also regularly love to fuck with (Hellsing Organisation and Future Foundation) even well past what should have been their untimely demise (whether they were brought back through becoming a cyborg or an AI), all in pursuit of a single word- a singular concept that defines who they are, what they are and why they want to watch the world burn: War and Despair.
Honestly there are some match ups that weren't mentioned that I'd like to put out there for me personally. Liquid snake vs Junko enoshima I think this one is a more accurate match up as both were masterminds of the first game and leaving an impact around the sequels. They both reflect the protagonist and have ties to the greatest soldier in their respective verses. And funnily enough their body/body parts also get used by other antagonists I could also see revolver ocelot vs mukuro and possibly even raiden vs toko for MGS match ups.
